******August 2014 mummies******

I know! Its crazy!..... Well I will let u know in a couple of weeks what they say......one friend reckoned its to do with knowing what dose of meds they can give u in labour- but surely your weight nearer to term is more relevant to that- not at 28 weeks! X

Oh god your joking! I never got weighed except the booking in appt with my daughter. Jeez thats going to be fun. Im also reaching the 2st mark and put on 4st with daughter. I think its silly to weigh pregnant woman lol.

Love those names. We had Lottie for a girl but now found out its a girl still trying to agree haha x

I wish I was joking! A part of me is hoping they don't do it for everyone or that the midwife forgets ;-) Glad its not just me HanSam! .....Lottie is a lovely girls name xx

Hello ladies, going to try jump back in and catch up on all the goings on! Not long till Tri 3 now!
I've been abit under the weather throughout this pregnancy. Got an umbilical hernia which is causing me, huge amounts of pain:(

Hello youngmtb!.... Sorry about the hernia hun- sure that's just awful :-( I suppose there's not much they do about that until after baby is born?

Welcome back anyway xx

Hi ladies, hope you all had a nice Easter. I have had my baby nephew staying with me for the last couple of weeks and he is away home now. Me and the wife have withdrawal symptoms.

Think we are just at the point now where we are really ready to be parents and it was a tease :)

Hi all. Hope everyone had a great Easter. We had a great holiday (although a long and tiring journey) I have been put on some iron tablets to try and get some of my energy back...here's hoping it works :). I have another scan this Friday as my uterine artery Doppler scan failed :/ But we are still looking forward to seeing our little Emily again :)

Thanks OfficiallyMrsM.

Sprk I did some research on Iron before we started trying and wife has been on it all the way through. She has had a great pregnancy, probably nothing to do with the iron but I am taking the credit anyway. She said to her midwife and she said to stay on them as her levels are perfect. Goof luck with your scan.

Alanc- sounds like it went well with your nephew :-)

Sprk- glad u had a good holiday hun! Good luck for scan- always nice to see bubs again :-)

Had a lovely swim last night but feeling knackered today (again!!) Just posted my 26 week bump pic- last one in tri 2!! Scary stuff!...... Even started writing a list for my hospital bag now!! One more week and its the home stretch! Hope u and bumps r all well xxx

Youngmtb and mackmummy- I know I still need to add in which teams u are (pink and yellow right?) Sprk- are u team yellow? I will do them all together xx

Great- thanks hun........I think team pink r def leading......all depends on what the yellow bundles turn out to be now! Xx

Hello everyone

Hope all is well, will try catching up with thread at some point :) been very busy still with university and trying to get all my assignements that are due in before going on maternity leave at the end of next month. I will be taking 45 weeks of mat leave from uni and 52 weeks from work :)

I am feeling the weight of this baby now, my ligaments aren't as good as before so lots of twinges when I am walking, almost 25 weeks, can't believe it I have made it this far :)

I am looking forward to the midwife coming round to the house on 17th May, she will do my antenatal check and do all the home birth assessments and forms etc, it takes about 2 hrs to complete the chat and I am getting really excited about it now. Still wondering whether I should get a birthing pool or not, can't decide because last time in the hospital the plan was going into pool for delivery but the pool was filled by about 1inch with baby quick arrival so never got to get in! not sure if I will spend hundreds of pounds on a pool and end up not being able to use it ?????

Mum2b and Kaffee , last week round here for you girls , that's really brilliant! Please keep seats warm in tri 3 for us all :) x

Hello hunny! Lovely to hear from u!...... Home birth plans sound v exciting!! I know v little about birthing pools at home- would hiring one work out any cheaper?? ......Countdown to tour mat leave now- not long :-)

Tri 3 in one week- Eek!!.... Will def b keeping everyone's seats warm!! Xxx

Thanks huni :) the hire ones I have looked at so far cost around £400 , unless I am looking at the wrong places. My midwife will be bringing information on local birthing pools which could be cheaper, but the midwife herself had a homebirth and said that what she did was buy one and the sell it on! Will see what she says x

Hey all! Hope you all have that Friday feeling today?!......Just done the update on the front page......TEAM PINK out in front again.......not sure if we will hear from any of the other ladies who started out with us- it's been ages. As I've said before- I hope they and their babies are ok!

Anyone got nice plans for the weekend??

I'm seeing a friend tomorrow morning- nice girly catch up! And other than that OH and I are going to try and go out for dinner/cinema as we haven't had any sort of 'date night' in ages!! xxx

We are off to Turkey tomorrow for our delayed honeymoon. I plan to use the pregnancy to get as much special treatment as possible :)

Wow Alan! Sounds fab :-) Hope u have a lovely time and look forward to hearing about it when u get back! Happy honeymoon :-)

Evening ladies,
Feel as though I've been a little AWOL from here recently, busy with work and had MIL down for a while (whole other story and won't bore you all with a moan, haha!)
So happy Tri 3 is just around the corner for us all, can't wait, still another few weeks away for me but very excited for you all moving over next week! It's my v day tomorrow, woohoo :)

Off out with the girls for cocktails/mocktails for my early birthday tomorrow eve, got OH's daughter Sunday (yay for no hangovers!) then Mon and Tues off to a spa with a friend, back a few days then got my family coming down Fri-Mon next weekend, dad has been roped in to helping OH put new floors down in nursery and put up my new shelves :) Busy busy, but loving that I'm now feeling organised

Alan wow, have an amazing honeymoon

Off to play catchup with the rest of the thread, but here is a bump pic for you all trying on my dress for tomorrow night, have also posted in bump pics

Xxx
