Hi everyone, your never going to guess what happened to me on Sunday. I was sick for the 1st time this pregnancy (15w 2d) and as I stood up and I had burst all the blood vessels in my face from the pressure of being sick!! Madness!! My face looks like a dot to dot picture lol it should go down by the weekend.

Bless u hun! This is just what I look like when I throw up! I was sick last Thursday at 19 weeks (my sickness starting at 10 weeks).....and my face looked freakish!!! X

Awful news Kaffee- so sorry :( hope you have managed to do something nice today.
Lanny I can completely sympathise, I feel like I'm constantly moaning too. But best to get it out, nobody's problems are more/less significant, all just different :) better out than in!
Nice to hear HB purplesocks, we have MW in 2 weeks, hoping she will get doppler out as we've not had a listen in yet!

Blonde question;
How do I add a signature bit to say I'm team blue??
Xx

Been ages since I posted in here been feeling sorry for myself have been reading tho. I'm 16 weeks tomorrow and can't wait to get off the number 15 this week has dragged so badly. Got my gender scan on sunday so I'm excited for that. Also oh passed his driving test so as from today he commutes to work every day at the army's expense making us £300 a month better off. All good news so don't know why I feel so depressed xxx

So I got some good news today, sister is coming down from Thurso to stay with me for 10 days with her 3 month old boy. I am wondering what I can practice. Nappies, feeding, burping, getting to sleep. Any others?

Yellow for me too.

We went to a baby shop today I love all the old fashioned things I've. Had all the perfect catalogue looking nurseries I want unique and hand made this time. What one thing are you looking forward to buying? Mine is my Moses basket with drapes and hand made bedding g by nanna

Hey everyone, I had a bad sickness day yesterday, not good :(
Ok ish today, but not right :/ 18 + weeks and you would think things were ok by now... 19 weeks was when all went with my 1st so I am hoping it will be gone for good next week.

I am struggling to decide when to start/finish mat leave, why is it so hard?

Kaffee I am so sorry hun

Littlemisshopeful you have made it to 16 weeks :)

Mummybear, I think what I get the most excited about buying it's clothes but the purchases I am most looking forward to are my cloth nappies and covers lol I absolutely looooove real nappies and had an emotional time selling them on last year , although I kept my favorites. I don't think I will buy much more til the summer; I have just booked us a fab May holiday and I am planning on concentrating on spending my money on us 4 for the next couple of months doing all the sorts of things it may be a little difficult to do with a new baby.
Then I will think about buying baby equipment etc.

Xxx

Hello lovelies - haven't been in a few days as been so busy!!
Just an update I didn't leak anymore so must've been a weak bladder!!

Am I right in thinking I don't need to give my employers my planned date for maternity leave until 15wks before the end of my pregnancy?
My employers are putting pressure on me for a date saying they need to kno so they can get someone else in. I'm sure I read that that I give them my planned leave date with my maternity certificate which midwife gives me about 20+ weeks?

Happy! So pleased u r OK! Been worrying about u!!..... I can't remember with the leaving date but I've got a feeling u r right- it might say on the direct gov website hun? X

Mummy_midwife- not good u were sick yesterday! Let's hope that's it now and like with Aaron u don't get anymore! ....Great news re booking a holiday! We r going to Cornwall in June for 2weeks all being well :-)

Mummybear- I haven't got much to buy this time round but am looking forward to buying some new clothes! The gender will obviously determine how much we need to get! :-)

Alanc- think that's most of the basics covered! Hope u find it a valuable experience getting some practice in :-)

Mum2b410 - aw thanks for thinking about me hun, sorry I haven't been around!!

I had a nosey on the gov website & I was totally right. So they need to back off lol.

Last 3 days I have been getting Braxton hicks, if I remember correctly it was around 20 weeks I started feeling them last time so this is even earlier, it feels soooo tight when it does happen :-/

Mum2b; thank hun, yes it was like that with Aaron so fx the same with little girl bump. 2 weeks in June sound really good :) I wish I was brave enough to venture out in the Summer, but I want to be back here from Middle of May onwards as will be worrying in case baby comes early And dont want to be away from home, probably nothing will happen but I will feel safer if I stay put from then on :) it would be funny (not) if I went late this time... But the thought of a premature baby definitely made me think twice about ever being pregnant again so the fear it's a big deal for me.

Happy; glad things settled, I am handing in my intention of mat leave at 24 weeks, but can't make my mind up about dates to leave and return at all. Your employers should back off !
