hey ladies,

I think I felt the baby move last night for the FIRST time & I'm 20 weeks today. I was laid on the sofa watching OBEM, when I felt like a strange rippling going across my belly like behind my belly button, I txt my mum n explained it as I've not felt anything like it before & she said yh was prob the baby moving. I'm excited for my scan next Monday, but have done a big A4 poster and put it in the front of the notes that we don't want know baby's gender ha ha. Hope everyone's well !

Evening ladies, hope everyone ok.

Well I've been in the loft/attic at mums today, 1 cuz my sister wanted her baby chair swing thing, and 2 to see what was up there baby stuff wise.

Well there's the cot ( mine from when I was a baby) a cot mattress, a baby bath, a Moses basket with mattress, & a baby walker - winner I don't have to purchase any of these now - they are all bagged up and labelled and in pristine condition. Everything apart from the cot was what my eldest sister had for her girls 19 & 15 yrs ago. My lil sis wouldn't use any of it when she had her first as she is quite snobbish about things and has brought new for her daughter who's 10wks old when she brought new for her other daughter who's only 4.

The way I see it is there's nothing up with any of it so I'm having it ha ha. Just a wardrobe for the nursery to get and all th big stuff is sorted.

OH mum txt yday to say hope my grandson is doing well - seriously woman I don't know what it is and I don't care, but just to piss her off I hoping it's a girl ( I'm not finding out and scans next Monday). Although OH said to me today whilst he had my niece on his lap - I'd love it be a girl as I've already got a son, so be nice have a pink one, though again he isn't that bothered lol.

Loving your bump pics lady - so wish I could join in but alas I still just look like I've piled the weight back on ha ha.

That's great you have got some bits for free!
Scan next Monday- not long to go now!! U r v strong to stay team yellow- although your MIL is def giving you more cause and determination! haha!

I'm sure you don't look like you have just put weight on hun- it's probably what u see but not what everyone else does!! xxx

Congrats Kaffee, surprised that you had to have a full bladder though, I was told I didn't need to for my scan? Congrats on team blue

Mummymw - you have an amazing bump, although you are measuring ahead now can that change as you go on or will you always measure ahead?

Mum2b - sorry you are still suffering with your cold and being sick, hope you feel much better very soon.

Missed my weekly dose of OBEM last night so going to watch that in a min before I start work! I am wondering if I have an anterior placenta or whatever it is called as I am not feeling any movements yet, although it may well still be too early? Scan on Friday, eek, excited and nervous at the same time! I don't really mind what I am having but starting to verge on hoping for a boy as y husband would be over the moon. Grateful for whatever we are lucky enough to be given though! Have a good day everyone x

Hey donnah!.....Your scan is day after mine! Feeling pretty nervous now but the excitement is still there too so I'm hanging on to that!!
I am starting to feel better again thank you! Feel like I've been a bag of walking bugs for the last few months!! Hopefully the spring sunshine will banish any more cold viruses out of my life!!

I've just caught up on OBEM myself! Cried again! What am I like?! It makes it feel more real for me when I look at those women and think 'that'll be me in a few months!' Scary!! lol xxx

Hey Donnah, not long til Friday and you can hopefully find out then what you are having and where your placenta is I am very excited for all you ladies with scan this week.

I am starting to feel nervous nervous about mine on Tuesday; so far all the scans have been lovely so I am really hoping it continues this way!!!!!

I think my bump will even out size wise, it was all looking well just as it should with baby size and fluid etc at 17 weeks so I know it is nothing to really worry about... Most things that could be 'bad' and make your uterus bigger doesn't happen this early in pregnancy anyway so I just have a big bump lol

Did you enjoy OBEM? I felt so sorry for the woman with the 'breech' , what a carry on just as you are about to deliver baby :-/ Hope you too are having a nice day

OMG- wasn't that awful?! Right at the end as well when she must have thought 'I'm almost there!'......I don't understand how they got it wrong like that? Altho I suppose when u can only see a small bit of body if it's not got hair on it and is obviously the head it can be confusing!! U would understand that more than most! lol!
I really thought they were all lovely couples this week!.....They def don't seem to be focusing v much on what pain relief each lady has though.....u just see the gas and air or u see the tube of the epidural etc Maybe they don't want people to associate certain types of birth with certain pain relief methods? XX

I have updated the front page again!.....I know she doesn't really post in this thread much but I am 99% sure I remember Emapot1 saying she was having a girl so I added that on to as well as Kaffee!.....Our teams pink and blue are level pegging right now! I wonder how much that will change in the next week or two?! xxx

Inkfairy seems to have disappeared too and she posted quite a bit in tri 1!

Yes the whole 'breech' thing was awful IMO, I was shouting at the tv in anger with all that was going on and being said lol that's why I should never watch OBEM ... I can see how you can get an examination wrong but to 'see' something it isn't there I can't quite understand... But hey, everyone looks different so who knows what the midwife saw

The editing in the programme is unreal, as you say maybe they didn't want to focus on the epidural etc yesterday ?!

I am feeling very sick today, really struggling to get through the day DH only back at 9 pm tonight... But at least baby girl is jumping about in here kicking me everywhere which always makes me feel a tad better

Mummymw and mum2b omg it was so emotional! I watched it this morning, the lady with cerebal palsy and her husband were amazing, wonderful couple and the poor lady at the end I was in tears with both of them. What a tough time she had and I can't imagine the panic at the end. I am addicted to it and always have been!

Currently sat watching British sewing bee and wishing I was clever enough to sew and make my own stuff! Would mean clothes would actually fit me well!! Xx

Hey ladies - introduced myself in Tri 1 but been manic and dont get much chance to get on here. Sounds like scans are goingwell. Exciting finding out if pink or blue.

My dd is 17th and next scan is 7/4. Persuaded OH we are going to find outthis time and he has no choice (he would rather not). But as he is off to Vegas on the 27th August he doesnt have a say and thats my bargaining chip lol.

I am already suffering with SPD - is anyone else? Im so upset i struggled with it at around 30 something weeks with my first pregnancy and couldnt even walk around the block to walk the dog! No idea how im going to cope for another 22 weeks with a toddler running riot! Lol Any advice appreciated.

Sorry u r suffering with SPD this early :-/ Have u got referred or self referred to physio yet? I haven't had it myself but not sure I will escape it this time! I'm finding pregnancy a lot harder this time with a 2 year old! Its certainly a challenge!! Xx
