******August 2014 mummies******

Hey ladies - hope you're all well!!

I keep getting pains down low, yesterday was on the left hand side, today seems more towards the right. Not sure if its stretching/growing pains or not. Seems to be mainly when I get up/move etc. Any thoughts?

Not sure if anyones interested but I write a lifestyle and beauty blog and have just posted my 15 week update if anyone fancies a lil read - http://www.thebrunettesays.co.uk/2014/03/pregnancy-15-weeks.html

Hope everyones okay!!

Mummy_midwife- it was less than 3 hours total! I have labour envy! Lol!

Happy- it probably is stretching pains and organs shifting about to make room hun- I wouldn't worry unless its really agonising!..... I will have a read of your blog tomorrow when I'm a bit more awake :-)

Mummy_mw hope your weekend away is relaxing so far , great new you cold is better now
Zoe good you decided to go away hope you are going to have great time and relax

How is everyone doing? Hope you are having good weekend whatever you up to.:)

Morning girls :) I'm a bit confused. The doc has put me
On amoxicillin and I'm a bit worried now as says not to take in pregnancy unless risk outweighs the risk of taking them. I only noticed that last night after taking 3 in total when someone told me
I shouldn't be on them. The docs ain't open till tomorrow for me to check. It's only a uti it's not worth the risk if there is any.
Any advice on these xxx

Sorry maybe not much of a help but you could ring 111 for advise. Hope you feeling ok

I would go and speak to a pharmacist or call 111 hun if you are unsure. I'm allergic to amoxicillin so I can't help unfortunately once bit had much experience with it.

In Leeds just now for the Nifty test. Place is fantastic, got an NT reading straight away then went through other things like the brain, stomach, spine etc. Will have the results of the Nifty in a couple of weeks.

Lilmiss I had a course the other week- its fine! They always say that coz they can't test stuff formerly on pregnant women but loads have taken it with no issue!.... I asked mummy_midwife too and she said its one of the weakest ones! Don't worry hun- if u need it u need it, uti's can turn nasty......but obviously up to u what u do! ......I had more than the minimum dose too btwxxx

That's great alanc! Fingers crossed results will be all good xx

I took it last time for a UTI, perfectly ok don't worry x

It goes between sharp pains & full aches, down low. I can't even remember if it feels normal. It's stopping me doing normal stuff but it's also there when I'm in bed or just resting. I'm debating taking the day off tomoro & texting my midwife if it continues.

Hi hon, thread hopping from July thread!
You should take the Amoxicillin. It's a cat B drug (American FDA category) which means in animal studies 10 times the usual dose was given with no harm shown to fetus.
UTI's in pregnancy can be dangerous honey as they can lead to a kidney infection which can be life threatening for you and baby if not treated.

Not trying to scare you!! Just trying to reassure you about the antibiotics - the benefits definitely out weight the risks (which are tiny).

It's safe and I'd take it and hubby would let me (he's a Dr).

xxxx

Thanks girls was just a little worried but you know me lol. They always put things that make you worry and wonder. Hope they work and shift it xxx

Magdlena thanks hun, we've had a fab time and the fact the resort offers free fantastic childcare, has meant that the kids have had sooo much fun and DH and I have had loads of time just the 2 of us :)

Mum2b I would love a3 hr labour , so hoping to having an easy and quick one ;) hope you get lots of baby cuddles soon.

Littlemisshopeful I hope you feel better from uti.
