Just had the first steroid jab, on ctg and apparently we are having irregular contractions

Hi. Stanley has had a good day today. They will be warming him up slowly in the next 20mins, so fingers crossed for no seizures.

Need some bf advice please. I've been trying to express since tues with no luck what so ever. Anything I can do to encourage as they will want something from me soon for Stanley.

I've been leaking for weeks now, and read up just lay in the bath and play with them for a while or imitate the sucking motion using your fingers and its meant to trick your body :) i think the key is to try and relax even though i can imagine it is difficult :* Lots of love xxx

Eaw im glad Stanley has had a good day today.

Has your milk come in yet? If so have u tried an electric pump? Your hosp may have one to rent off them, mine do for the prem or poorly babies mums to help collect boobie milk for them.

Ive got no tips though sorry i only lasted 5 days bfing my 1st!
A few of the other girls should be online soon that had much better luxk with bfing their previous babies sk im sure they can offer something xxx

Ask the hospitality.provide an electric pump, That's,what I did

Well all that and nothing! Took some more pain relief at 10 and went for a sleep, few niggles whilst I was asleep and Logan has been stupidly active to the point where it was making feel really sick because he literally had bum, feet, legs and arms everywhere. Come up to bed now but he is sooo low, Chris is stopping on the sofa as he wants to be nearby if anything happens tonight but I feel so disheartened, the way the contractions were coming when I was in the bath, I was sure that something was happening x

On the plus side I've just checked the bank and housing benefit have paid me the money they owe me after I was told earlier in the week that there's no way they would change there mind!

Well that's things moving in a positive direction!! I had a major argument with housing benefit over that fact you qualify for a 2 bed at 28 weeks+ I moved into a privately rented housing association apartment (mainly because it's in a good area and is super secure and literally over the road from mum) was lucky that they were bringing the rent down so there wasn't much else to cover!! But I had to apply for a digressionary payment until little one is born to cover the bedroom tax!! It took like a month instead of 2 weeks and the housing people were fab! But I was there panicking?!

How's baby Logan this morning?

I've woken up with a super firm bump to the point she's a bit sore to touch and sharp low pains and waves of rib pain... I won't know till they stick a monitor on me how strong tightenings are coming as for some daft reason I feel the pain but not the rest

Hope induction works quickly for you kitten! Sorry it's all stopped emmam :-(

Eaw - have you got pictures of Stanley to look at? If you can pump when you're near him that will stimulate milk. Try and relax as much as possible, don't stress over it. Are you using a pump or hand expressing? Like babyslog said, if you don't have an electric pump (or to be honest, even if you do) ask the hospital if they have one you can borrow. Hospital grade pumps are so much more effective. I hope Stanley's done well with the temp increase xxx

Thanks Tigger! Will keep you all posted as the day goes on!

Kind of desperate for some breakfast now

He's quite happy wriggling away, was having a few pains at 4-5am and horrendous pains in my hip again but nothing now.

They took £363 off me to pay an overpayment on top of the £11.10 a week that's agreed because I had a credit on my account from wage going down from full pay to sick pay...I've spent hours on the phone arguing but finally got someone to listen to me earlier in the week and he emailed the assessor-must have worked x

Eaw glad Stanley had a good day yesterday, I hope it goes well with warming him up. I will ask a bf support friend of mine for some tips for you.

Emmam I'm gutted for you that things stopped overnight. Did you have many false starts in previous pregnancies? As I've heard it quite common for 3rd or more babies. Glad you have sorted out your housing benefit too.

Kitten having tightenings already sound like induction could be very successful, good luck today xx

My friends reply for you eaw - Things like sitting next to his incubator and expressing (if that's allowed) or looking at a photo or smelling something of his can help. They say oats can help milk production. xx

I had a few with my last pregnancy but not this late on, was more 35 weeks and earlier I think and definitely not like that.
I've just realised that I hardly ate yesterday, with everything going on I wasn't hungry so just had some bananas for tea.
Debating whether to rest today or go shopping to take my mind off it all x

Em, pleased you finally got it sorted with them!

Kanga i know! they are doing rounds now... counting down till stabbing time... trying to get into doing some other stuffs to distract myself... todays Sister said just now she doesn't think it will take because i probably wont have a favourable cervix

My sisters first induction took 2 days due to cervix been unfavourable but others since have been quite quick. Don't think they can ever judge it. I've never been induced but my sister always gets walking and running up and down the stairs at the hospital to pass the time lol x

Hopeful induction goes well! Hoping for a speedy one for you!

This mornings husband sprayed my legs with warm water from a water pistol while my back was turned, all I could feel was a warm trickle down my legs... He thought it was hilarious that I thought I was leaking lol I got him back though and a full waterfight with pistols and squinty duck bath toys took place. We're such good role models
