• May 2016 Mummies •

Well after a stressed morning I've had a chilled afternoon. Getting my tea cooked (curry ;)) then going for a bath with some clary sage in and then Chris has said that he'll massage my back for me later aswell, he bought me loads of cocoa butter for valentines and I only use it when he rubs it in lol.
He guessed that baby would arrive today but he's wrong-my guess was originally a week tomorrow so time will tell.
Has anyone else got guesses on when their babies will come?

Up in Bristol with Stanley. He's a little better than yesterday but still very poorly. I will get a picture for you all now he's looking more perky.x

So pleased he's doing better eaw, you must feel better now you're with him. Thinking of you x

Glad he's doing better. I'm sure he will be fine.. I was telling my mum about it (anxious times for preggy ladies when babies are born and they're not too well) and she reminded me that my cousins baby had no name for thee days because they were so worried she was so sick. She's now one year old and absolutely perfect in every way. I'm sure this will work out well in he end especially as he's already doing better.

He's just had an ultra sound on his soft spot looking for bleeds and there are none thank god. So a step in right direction

Normally a lurker than a poster. Eaw congrats on the birth of Stanley, I'm sure with the cooling and lots of tlc he will be fine and that's excellent news that there are no bleeds. There is nothing more frightening when something is wrong, my son who is nearly 11 was born by crash section due to meconium and had to be resuscitated at birth, he later spent 6 days on SCBU due to dehydration due to not feeding properly.

Time seems to be dragging now, I just want to meet my little lady! I'm still at work for until 10th May but my case is packed and in the car (both me and oh work at the hospital and I can see the maternity unit from my office window, plus I will have my own personal porter to get me there!)

Hope everyone is doing ok and soon see more babies being born

Aww Eaw thats fab news!!!!

Hey scaredmummy! Long time no speak.
I think we are all getting a bit fedup but excited now lol! Xx

Great news about no bleeds eaw. Hope things continue to look good.

My physio appt was a bit pointless today as she said there isn't much that can be done til after baby is born really. Shown me some exercises to do and told me the usual no lifting, no hoovering/housework, no bending forward, take it easy etc advised me to get a ball to sit on but after just a few mins in the appt I was in more pain than before so not sure if I will get one.

I also realised whilst there I hadn't felt baby much since 7:30 ish that morning so went to the mau and they did a ctg and of course baby had a massive wriggle on! But it eased my mind especially as baby was quiet yesterday too. Scary though cos the lady in the bay next to me was there and only 30 weeks and they were doing a c section tomorrow due to really low blood flow in her placenta and baby having not grown since last scan! xx

So pleased things are picking up EAW!!!

Kanga, sorry for the silly question what have you been ref to physio for? I've got an appt tomorrow for Rib & Lower back pains constantly in nasty waves

What are we all sound for feeding when babies come?
I have crap nipples and was told that they're so flat and wide it was hard for baby to latch so likely same issue again. I'm geared up to ff bit was going to express on hospital for first few feeds... As my hospitals policy is discharge 24hra after section I'm starting to think if there's any rea point and if I should just go straight onto formula?

Im hoping to give bfing another go.

Stopped day 5 with noah due to masitis in both boobs and being on stronf antibiotics for infected pissing bloody nips lol!

So hoping to overcome that and have medala nip sheilds at the ready.

But im not going to pressure myself like i did lastnight, got into auch a state when i had to stop and call it a day.
So i do have a c&g starter kit with the ready made lil bottles incase.

Bought dr browns bottles & steriliser before xmas on sale ready too. Also have a prep machine but thats all still boxed and will sell on unopened if i dnt need it.

Bottles r for both really, bought as Charlie will eventually be staying over his dads house woth Noah when hes okd enough, if i do manage to bf ill need to express for him. Also as im due bk in work Feb '17 again id like to try and express if i last that long for the days im in work.
If not tho, good ol' formula it is! :) xx

I'm def formula feeding... I got so depressed with expressing last time. I have me
Mam bottles which are Mr favourite thing and k have pew made to get us through tee first week of night feeds while recovering from the worst of my section.

I feel bad for not trying harder but I kinda feel like it will be best, especially as it's a bit harder to unhook my tits and give them to my husband...even though I'm sure he would love it if I could haha

I'm planning on breastfeeding again as I did for at least the first month with my last 3 but I have a steriliser and bottles ready at home if I need them plus I live opposite tesco if I need formula x

I have a tub of Aptamil :) but my main plan is to try and breast feed :) I seem to be leaking loads! I mean if I could collect it throughout the day I could probably get a good portion of the stuff !!

I brought the tommee tippee closer to nature set plus 4 extra bottles :) I also have some dummies but the midwife said to avoid using them??? They are silicone teats because my sister is allergic to latex.

Any news on Carli?

I feel bad but today my little boy is nursery... I feel bad that I'll be thankful
Of the break.

Jojo - I've got a day off today and the little man is in nursery, cannot wait! No guilt here  I've also got the cleaner coming at 9am, so I'll probably go for a wander round the shops to occupy myself and leave her to it and come home to a gleaming house!! I love Wednesdays at the moment.

My feeding intention is breastfeeding. I did it with Jake for 18m so I feel fairly confident I can push through the rough bits to give this baby the same. I'm a bit terrified of how to cope with the feeding through the nights and mass cluster feeds though whilst having a toddler, but if other mums can do it, with less help than I'll have, then it's clearly possible! My mum always throws the "I did it, so why can't you?" Line at me too because she knows it'll give me something extra to reinforce to keep going!!!

Carli90's lil boy was born yesterday morning. All is well, she did say she'll try and grt on later to update us on how it all went :) x

I just want pictures of new squishy baby faces lol in two weeks time I'll be in hospital waiting on my slot
For my section :)

tigger you have a cleaner?! Lucky! Today is Mr deep
Clean day. I pick son up at 3pm then I have to do to the doctors to collect my prescription for my renotadine and he has an appointment at 3:20 to see about his cough and a bit of dry skin. Then toddle
Off home, give him tea and pop him to bed... Then home for tea and then in the morning we have the health visitor coming to do my home visit and also just check on my sons speech (it's not a worry, just something he wasn't doing at his 2yr check)

I was tempted to clean the tena gets rooms to day but then I realised that I haven't got an industrial strength mask so I'm gonna leave it to them to do later :D
I've not felt Logan move since 4am, and even that was only a little hand jab in my pelvis...he was going for it at midnight so I'm hoping he's just tired out x
