--x--December 2017 Snowflakes Thread--x--

Hi everyone, i am 6 weeks today and due date 11th of December. Can i please join the group? :)

Second surprise pregnancy and have a scan booked for the 8th of May! Last preg i wanted to find out gender but we are keeping it a surprise until birth this time :)

Hello all,

Please could you put me down for the 9th.

This is my first pregnancy, so quite nervous/ anxious/ excited about what to expect! Keeping everything crossed :-)

Hope you're all feeling well today

P.s how do you have these early scans? I've not heard of this before but am quite clueless ATM!

Welcome ladies and congrats.

imo, I'm due the 9th too. I don't know about the other ladies, but I've been having early scans due to previous miscarriages xx

Welcome ladies! Lovely to have a few more join us. :)

I know what you mean Lulu, I really don't feel pregnant today. No crampiness or nausea. Just really sore boobs. It freaks me out! When the nausea is here I want it gone and when it's gone, I want it to come back!! I'll be 5 weeks tomorrow and the midwife is calling me to arrange my booking in appt.

If I have an early scan imo, it'll be private (unless there are any issues that arise) so it would be at a private scan place and cost £45. My friend had a few early NHS scans with her baby but this was due to heavy bleeding (thankfully baby was ok).

Maria- we kept gender a surprise with my little girl, but we may find out this time. If we do find out then we will keep it a secret (got to try not to let it slip). Does anyone have any preferences for gender? I really wanted a girl first time and we had a girl. Feel quite happy as I'd really like 2 girls, but would also be really happy with one of each!

I've had no nausea just tiredness and hungry all the time, also been having really vivid dreams which I had last time too but I don't like that.

I really want a girl as we're only planning on 2 kids so one of each would be nice. Im terribly afraid that if I find out it'll be a boy that I'll be disappointed or upset, I'm sure I wouldn't be but I'm worried I would be then I'd feel guilty. I know a couple of people who've had gender disappointment and they didn't even know they had a preference until they found out, don't fret me wrong they were thankful that it was a healthy baby. I think I'm over worrying because I watched them struggle with it if you know what I mean. we had a 16 week gender scan last time and told the world but this time I think we will find out and not tell anyone.

Does anyone do slimming world? I'm thinking about rejoining to keep weight gain under control

Thank you ladies!

I feel a little clueless with it all.

I didn't know you could get scans privately so will look into that :-)

No preference with gender :-)

Hope you're all feeling well! I feel so tired today!

We have no preference when it comes to gender. I see myself having another boy, but I'd be over the moon with either. We won't be finding out xx

The private scans vary in cost depending on where you live, they are about £90 where I am :( I'm going to wait another week before calling the epu to see if they'll scan me at around 6 weeks or if I'll have to pay privately.

I've got no preference on gender other than the fact that I find girls names easier to think of! I don't think we will find out beforehand, would like a surprise.

Joey, we're the complete opposite, I don't think we'd ever agree on a girls name. We've had our boys name picked for ages xx

Haha! Fingers crossed for a boy for you then! One of my friends had a girl a few weeks ago who remained nameless for ages as they just couldn't agree. There are 2 girls names I like but they are so similar that we couldn't use them both so we'd struggle if we had 2!

I have so many girl names that I love but my fiancé hates. I wanted my son to be Delilah if he was a girl. My OH thinks it's the ugliest name on the planet. Our son is Luca but is referred to as Luca Blair (Blair being his middle name), as he's usually always being told off for something xx

I find girls nanes easier than boys. My little one is Elin Sofia. We seem to be agreeing on some ideas if this one is a girl! Who knows if it's a boy! I like the name Luca. :)

MumBear- I get the gender disappointment. I know if I'd had a boy first time, I'd really want a girl this time as we're definitely not having more than 2! I know ultimately I'd be over the moon either way with a healthy baby, but I know a few friends who have had 2 boys and would have quite liked a girl. I was surprised to find my husband wants another girl. I think he's quite enjoyed tutus and tea parties, though she does also love dinosaurs, castles and trains.

I've got loads of girl names but no boy names.

I've got stomach cramps :(

Mumbear, cramping is really common in the beginning. Try to not worry xx

It's so hard not to worry about everything at this stage. Cramps are really common though so try not to stress x

Updated to here

Welcome newcomers!! :dust:

Feeling so numb today :( would of been well into my 5/6th week if it wasn't for that chemical..still blaming myself constantly..just hope next cycle will be our turn :(

So sorry to hear that sebbiesmum.

Big hugs, fingers crossed for BFP x

Sorry to hear your news sebbiesmum. I'm sure you know this but it's highly unlikely that it was your fault. You are meant to be very fertile after a miscarriage (i got my bpf without having a period after my chemical) but obviously you need to feel emotionally ready too. Big hugs, it really sucks
