Aww Gemma *big hugs*
People just don't realise what they're saying do they, and as for timing, well that couldn't have been worse
Not anywhere near yours on the emotional Richter scale but the day before yesterday I was out with some friends when one guy announced they were expecting in October, and then the conversation immediately turned to what everyone thought of babies and how they were the best thing ever (these were all blokes, too!) and someone started grilling me on whether me & my husband wanted babies and when we were planning to have them. The day before my IVF op! (not that they knew obviously but talk about timing/unwanted conversation)
And Gemma - yep I went under general anaesthetic & was given intravenous painkiller as well as a suppository one too (which I initially didn't take as the leaflet with it said "this medicine can stop you getting pregnant"!) I'm glad I didn't get valium!!
Fortunately the pain is almost nothing today but I still need to be careful about how I sit down I think!
TMI warning: I was warned about 'spotting' but there's quite a bit of brown staining every time I go to the loo at the moment, anyone know if this is ok?
