~***September Mummies***~

Yeah it is a bit of a mixed bag Tigger! But yeah I am feeling quite positive at the moment, not sure how long it will last hehe! But I think I've got it in my head that as I only went a couple of days over with DS that I'll probably have this one roughly on time too and if that's the case I really haven't got long to wait which is very exciting! But on the other hand if I'm wrong and I go over I'm going to find that really hard and disappointing!

Sunshine_state my DS starts primary school next week and I'm really nervous about that too, especially as its so close to my due date, so I understand some of your stress. Hopefully both our boys will be just fine xxx

I had my first "any signs?!" Text yesterday too! I replied 'no, I'm not even sure what the signs are until they start' haha.

I'm going into school today (I'm a teacher) but I refuse to do anything! Just joining everyone for lunch. I have to go in next Monday for the INSET day as apparently you have to go in on the day your maternity leave commences?! So technically my maternity leave hasn't started yet! Luckily my 40 week midwife appointment is in the afternoon so I don't have to stay all day.

Hope this weather begins to cool down again. Don't want to be in hospital in this!

Have a lovely day everyone :) xx

I'm a teacher too but I'm going back all of next week because I'm not due till 17th so thought I'd be fine. The thought of it is now making me feel sick!! We have inset Monday and Tuesday and I'm just helping out on Wednesday-Friday, listening to children read etc so I'll have an easy week. Just hope it goes quickly or baby decides to make an appearance before then!

My Daughter is also starting reception on 9th September, so close to the due date. I'm not sure what I'd prefer, bump to come early so I can take him with me on the first day or to hang on a bit whilst she gets settled in. She's been at nursery for the past year at the same school with the same children so should be fine but its a momentous thing for her, don't want it over shadowed by bumps arrival in the playground or something!

Tigger i haven't thought of it like that, only a few more days of August and then its the month to have our babies, never thought this point would come xxx

Fingers crossed for your results sunshine, hope they're positive.

That is quite a mixed bunch for you Ammdaz but hopefully a nice chilled day will help you feel better, I'm same with the school year thing. I really want her to be the oldest as I was but that means no earlier than the 2nd ( I thought it was 1st but I've been corrected) but even that is only 6 days away so not long at all really :-).

I've spoken to mw this morning as I keep getting awful back ache for a few hours at a time and she says that means labour isn't far behind???? I'm not getting my hopes up though cause I had those pains a couple of weeks ago and nothing came of it, she'll come when she's ready but keeps hinting at what's to come I think haha.

I've just finished watching gossip girl Kim, I've watched all of it since coming on Maternity :-) I'm on breaking bad now. Netflix has been worth every penny for me these last few months.

Hope all of you with kiddies starting school soon manage to get them off smoothly without too much disruption, I have to say I take my hat off too you, I can't imagine going through this kind of pregnancy with a lo to look after too.

Xx

Haylian I'm almost 100% sure that its 1st September as the cut off. I know kids at school that were born on 1st September are the oldest in the year. Think some people get confused because the new term doesn't officially start till the 2nd this year but the cut off date is still the same. Could be different in different counties but I know in Durham where I am that's the case x

I'm having exactly the same dilemma about the school thing Amy! DS has also been at the nursery with the same kids for over a year but he's quite a shy little thing and I'm a bit worried about how he'll settle in a new environment. I think I'd prefer baby to come a little bit early otherwise I risk missing taking him or picking him up on one of his first days :-(

I thought the cut off was the 1st as well Hayley although I could be wrong! I hope it is the first though because I've kind of decided Sunday would be a good day for my little lady to arrive because then she'll be a September baby but I'll have a few days to recover before DS starts school! Not that I really have any say in the matter!

Ooh I wonder if your backache is a sign Hayley? It's funny how we analyse every little ache and pain at this stage! I can't wait to see who the next sept mummy is. I'm sure it won't be long until we're popping all over the place! Xxx

I'm only going on what I've been told my women I work with, I'm in Sheffield and a woman I work with had her daughter on 1st Sep and ended up in the year below? I have no experience tho so I really don't have a clue and I'm really only going on what I've heard from other people. It makes sense to me that its the 1st tho.

I don't even know what signs to look out for haha I've been having these pains in my back for a while now and nothing has ever come of it. Makes hubby dead nervous when it happens :-) its really quite sweet xx

Haha my husband gets nervous with every twinge bless him. It must be weird for them. I told my husband from today I wouldn't call him at work unless I was in labour and he had to answer (he's often in meetings with clients and can't answer) but I'm finding it so weird not calling him or texting a million times haha.

Just did a massive food shop, bought loads to do some cooking tomorrow to put in the freezer for once baby is born and made sure I have plenty tea, coffee, biscuits etc for when people come to see the baby. Then just stocked up on toothpaste, washing powder etc so we're good to go!! Waters didn't break either...I have a massive phobia that they'll break in tesco when I'm on my own haha x

It must be strange for them as they literally have no idea what it feels like etc and it must be difficult for them to just be waiting. I've told him that when labour starts I just need him to sit and be quiet and I'll let him know if I need him haha sounds harsh but I like to be left to my own devices etc especially when in pain as I need to concentrate. He's fine with it though, I think he'd prefer it in all honesty :-)

I'd be so embarrassed if my waters broke in tesco, although I'd probably just skip out the store as it meant baby is coming. I've heard you get free stuff in some stores if your waters break so there's a silver lining xx

I just would die haha. I was wide awake at 3am the other morning debating what Id do. Would I leave the waters all over the floor and find someone to help, would I just stand there and cry, would I ask someone passing to help haha I still have no idea what I'd do! Think I might only go to Tesco with my husband from now on!

Hahaha, I love this fear! I was advised to put something down on the mattress from 38 weeks "just in case" still haven't, cuz I don't honestly think anything will happen, at least not any time soon.... Naive?!

On the plus side, if your waters go in a public place, your obviously pregnant and a nice little old last will see you and come look after you (maybe with a story of how the same happened to her, haha!) xx

I'm changing the sheets tomorrow and I think I may put a towel under the fitted sheet on my side. Not sure if this will work or just constantly bunch up and be uncomfortable though? Anyone tried it?

I have one of those waterproof mats to put under the sheet on my side, but it's horrid and makes me feel sweaty! I don't think that many people have their waters breaking out in the street/shop etc. I think it would be hilarious! I'd be so excited I wouldn't care :-D

Meanwhile I'm obsessed with my boobs. I love having bigger ones. hahaha Just thought I'd share. Hubby is pretty obsessed too. Nice there's one decent symptom!

x

Only 10% of women's waters break before labour starts apparently so the chances are it won't happen :-)

My boobs haven't grown 1 bit :-( quite disappointing really x

my boobs never grow either...tho the size theya re already im kinda glad

They will Haylian! wait til the milk comes in! Mine aren't big by some standards but they are big to me :-)

oooh I don't know...people who have 3 hour labours must have pretty massive contractions straight away!! unusual though.

Haha, constantstar, my cousin said she thought it was total bull the way they go into labour on soaps, doesn't happen like that in real life etc... And then on her 2nd, it started exactly like that :-D

Omg lol! Would quite like a little warning before the bad boy ones!! X
