Ladies who aren't breast feeding, do you just let your supply dry up or do you need to express as not to cause any problems? Just curious x

I just stopped n let it dry up it was horrible for s few days m then just uncomfortable for s few more days m then slowly started to dry up. After two weeks I think I've finally stopped leaking!!
