With my son we only told a couple of people I was in labour at the start of the day. We told OH mum a few hours before. What annoys me Is when you tell some family you've had your baby then they go on bloody facebook and tag you before you've had a chance to tell everyone. So people end up finding out from somebody before we tell them! X

Kelly - my brother in law announced our pregnancy on facebook before we did!!! I was so bloody angry. We were spending the day visiting/phoning close friends and family to tell them the news before we did a general facebook announcement. I get that family are excited too but some people just have no bloody sense or respect. He is now the last to know anything!

I hate people making announcements before you do. I txt one of my good work mates that I had Ruby and said don't tell anyone as I want to tell people myself and then she went and told my boss who I hated and my boss sent an email to 1000 work colleagues on a generic mailing list! I was downright angry! Some people are so stupid! X

Ah I'm dreading the whole Facebook thing I don't want my grandparents finding out that way as my Grandma loves her facebook. I'm happy for hubby to put something on after we've called and text all close family. Dreading the visitor thing too really don't want father in law and his two young kids etc here. They're so hyper and it'll stress me out so much. Really hoping she appears once the kids are back at school and everyone is back to work. Health visitor just said to be firm, but in a right pease pudding and hubby is too soft.

Kelly in getting headaches especially in the morning feel quite rough at the moment like I've got a bug or something. Just in time for other half going on his holiday x

EeeK so exciting that there's lots going on on the August Mummies thread!! - to think that will be us this time next month!!
I noticed on their front page quite a few of their bumps have names - how are we all getting on on the naming front? are there any September bumps with definite names?? ...

These contractions are getting out of control for me, really thought they were going to turn into something last night, they were making me want to throw up lol. Definitely last baby for me I think, not sure I want to put my body through all this again! haha x

Oh god it sounds like Facebook is evil in all of this and it's also like you get no peace once baby arrives!

I drink a lot, I always have done. But now I drink even more. I literally guzzle a bottle water and then could easily have another straight away!

Our bump I'm pretty sure will be a Megan Amelia or the other way! Lol

Had an odd morning. Driving to work and the car in front of my hits a pigeon and feathers were flying everywhere and then I seen like a head or something when I passed rolling away from the feather pile! 5 minutes later I get to work and witness a guy falling backwards onto the metal part of an escalator! He went straight down onto his head with such a crash. Blood everywhere! So then had to call paramedics and wait for an ambulance for 30 minutes. Then at work, my mood was everywhere, I yelled at a cleaner who I clearly upset in the process, was lovely to people I can't stand!
Home now and ready for some much needed breakfast! Xx

They basically said I am going to get contractions regularly for the rest of my pregnancy but to go in if my waters break, they become regular intervals etc so not a lot I can do but never mind

Realised my scan is actually Tuesday too not Monday! OMG baby brain is ridiculous, good job I realised now rather than when arriving at hospital on the wrong day LOL.

Random this, but what are braxton hicks like?
My belly just went really tight at the top but no lower than my belly button.. It was super painful... not sure what the hell it was but pain was shocking! But I've also heard bh don't hurt!? Apparently I did have them last time but I just couldn't feel them! X

I lOVE Danny
And Megan and Amelia have always been in my top girls names - but one of my cousins named their daughter Megan / another named their daughter Amelia. That's the trouble when you are one of the youngest of 11 cousins! I'm one of the last to start having babies!

We're not 'officially' naming our little man until he's born (because I don't want to share with family/friends yet) but seeing as we're all anonymous on here - we're pretty certain our little man is going to be called Logan George
And just between us - I may have already bought a blanket with his name embroidered on it ......

What's causing such strong contractions H??

Gosh hectic day Kelly!! Hope you've got your feet up now. I've had a couple of braxton hicks - my whole tummy goes really solid and kind of pointy. I've only had 1 episode (last week) where it made me worry because I had 4 in an hour and they were verging on painful like period cramps. I drank a big bottle of water and lay down, we decided if they continued for another hour we'd call triage, but they went away so I didn't.

Oh god yes, all your chosen names get snapped up first lol.
I like logan my bump buddy named her little boy Logan when she had him a week before I had my son and that is still the only Logan I've ever heard of!

Maybe mine wasn't BH then. I dont think my belly changed Shape. Whatever happened, my little girl decided she didn't like it and she went on a major fidget afterwards. I have a feeling she may not be head down yet! I don't remember when they like baby to be head down by!? X

Summer - I have got what they call an irritable uterus which means I get very painful contractions regularly and although the come and go like braxton hicks my body doesn't recognises when one fades and another starts so the pain never eases off it stays constant. I ended up in hospital as I had one continuous painful contraction for an hour and a half and thats when they told me I had an irritable uterus x

Oh poor you! How did I miss this? I remember you being worried about waters leaking ... Does an irritable uterus have an impact on birth/labour?

Our lo is either a George Leonard or a summer joy can't wait to find out.

It can sometimes cause preterm labour but not always, some ladies go full term with it fine so could go either way I guess. Yeah had a few leaking water concerns too but they couldn't find any sign of a leak when I got checked. Will mention it again at scan Tuesday though x
