*~*~* September 2015 Mummies *~*~*

Gillyboos, rant away. I know how frustrating it is not being able to express it to anyone else! With the whole nap thing, that's absolutely ridiculous. If he didn't need to nap for longer then surely he would be awake and getting up! Doh!

2/5 engaged already! Hopefully she doesn't move out again. My son was free up until about 38 weeks but he never did engage before then.
I think at the stages of feeling for baby to see if they are engaged, it really is exciting. In fact, after finishing work is all so exciting! I have 12 shifts to go now Woohoo!

I was thinking about my hospital bag yesterday. Going to start packing it this week :-) xx

I hope she doesn't move out again, knowing my luck she will haha!

I didn't know if it was a good or bad thing when midwife told me at first I thought it meant I was going in to labour haha!

16 shifts left for me too Kelly! We're almost there babe :) x x

Lol! I thought this with my first. I thought as soon as they were engaged they were due to arrive very soon haha xx

Rant away Gilly - I'm a FTM but I totally sympathise as I feel 'the writings very much on the wall' for me to be in a similar situation. I'm sick of being the one that comes across as uptight but sometimes you just have to stand your ground and make it clear to parents/inlaws that they had their turn to raise a family - now it's yours.

Bunny - glad your appointment went well. My friend was 4/5ths engaged at 34weeks and the little monkey still arrived 9 days late!! At least you know that's what the pressure feeling is now? :)

Eeek I have 1 and a half days left of work!!! :pompom:I'll be keeping busy though - it's our baby shower on Saturday so just rushing to make final arrangements for that. Fingers crossed weather looks like it's going to be lovely. My husband picked up the keys for his new office this morning - it's 5 minutes from our house overlooking a beautiful park and river, so Baby and I will be able to go for walks and then pop in to see daddy!! :) My brother is moving down to work full time for my husbands business so Im helping him with apartment hunting over the next few weeks (he's only 19 and first time living away from home) so busy busy - but hopefully will make the time go quicker. 8 (ish)weeks to go!! Need to finish my hospital bags too! xxx

Just popping on to say hi! Have been away for weekend with in laws in caravan. Lovely time but also very glad to be home. Bed was tiny and sleep was not easy.... A warm bath is sorting me right out followed by an early night I think!

Gillyboos I don't think I would cope with your mil at all, can't stand being told how to raise your own kids! Sounds like you just need to be firm with her, as you already are. Hopefully soon the message might sink in.

Bunny fab that you are partly engaged, looking forward to my next midwife app wednesday week.

Summer that all sounds very exciting, can't believe you break up so soon, what good luck!! I have just bought my mat leave forward to 14th August from 28th, feeling a lot better about the lead up now, was beginning to panic a bit about how I would cope! X

It is nice to have those weeks before baby arrives where you have no worry of work, you are able to clean the house and organise ready for baby :-)

Last time I enjoyed 6 weeks annual leave before my due date and it was lovely to have those last week's to myself. I will never ever regret leaving work that early. This time im leaving at 35 weeks with 4 weeks annual leave and looking forward to spending the time with my son :-)

I cant wait to finish now and enjoy some me time with harry at nursery and then some time with him bless him before his whole world changes!! 8 more shifts to go!!

Feel really uncomfy today think baby is up high and down low at the same time, pressing on my bladder and making me short of breath. I must admit I will b pleased to give birth and have done with pg but I bet I will miss my bump and the movements only I feel when its gone.

I have got all the newborn and 0-3 clothes out the loft and was loving looking through them n remembering harry wearing them, feels like yesterday. Cant wait to wash them.

Oh n finally started to pack my bag!! Made hubby buy me a nice new one seeing as I have to go in to hospital, its flowery and has wheels but isn't massive as I found I didn't use half the stuff last time so will be trvelling light and packing a second bag for hubby to grab if I really need to stay in to long. Fx I will b out quick tho.

Michelle. x

Ladies I would massively appreciate if you could share pictures of your bags your taking to hospital, I'm worried mine could be too big or too small haha!

I'm quite uncomfortable today too Hayes, baby is so heavy on my bladder also. Thinking long hot bath tonight when I get home from work! :) x x

Gilly - Your MIL sounds just like mine! Very annoying, I sympathise!

Bunny - wow that is great that baby engaged already but not so great for your bladder and the pressure lol.

Mary - lovely to have a break away but your own bed is always nice to come home to isn't it?!

Sounds like everyone is getting things sorted slowly which is great :D

I have almost finished my hospital bag now - I don't know why it has taken me so long this time round as with my daughter is was completely packed by 20 weeks! I am just missing breast pads and I won't put my clothes in for coming home until nearer due date. I find out in 2 weeks if I am having a c section too so atleast I will know what I am doing rather than feeling like I am playing the waiting game! Makes it awkward for OH as well as he can't book paternity leave as he doesn't know when to book it for!

Quick question - as my daughter was born during a cold November I packed a dressing gown for hospital and made good use out of it but I have no idea if I should pack one this time round as we all know Septembers can be fairly hot still. Is everyone else taking one or are you not bothering?

I'm not bothering hun, didn't need it last time my hospital is so warm.

My hospital bag is the size of a cabin bag of that helps that u can take on a plane. Will take my fairly big handbag too.

Mine was a small suitcase last time but this time I think that's too big so maybe slightly smaller this time.

I had a nap this afternoon and had a dream that my baby had been born and was a few weeks old before I actually fed her for the first time. My OH had been feeding her and I had been forgetting about her and she never woke in the night either :-S.

I won't pack a dressing gown. Last time I had my son August so wouldn't need one, but having only stayed in 4 hours, I wouldn't have needed it anyway and it was very warm.
I may have to make a 'back up bag' this time so that if I end up having to stay in, it can be easily collected x

Bunny - I am taking the same hospital bag I used with my daughter - I will attach some pics below but to give you an idea of size I could fit 4 laptops in it very easily! That is just for my stuff. All the babies stuff will be in my pink lining twins changing bag which TBH doesn't even fit everything I need in it so I will probably have to move a few of his bits to my bag! I think I am packing more than a lot of people though as I ended up staying in hospital for 4.5 days last time due to a PPH so I am expecting another and packing for another 4 day visit lol.

Thanks for the advice on dressing gowns ladies. I won't bother then but may just leave it in a carrier bag in the stairs closet so OH can grab it easily if needed :) x

The thought of staying in hospital that long upsets me :(
I can't imagine being away for more than 1 night.
I keep getting excited randomly as I think it will be here so soon but then remember that I still have 9 weeks! doh! X

Haha I know what you mean I said to a nurse this week oh I might only have 7 weeks left if he comes early and she screamed woohoo lol x

Thanks for making me not feel like a cow, girls.

I know what you mean about not wanting to be away Kelly, I'm dreading being away from my little boy. :( Think it's going to be inevitable though sadly.

I need to sort my hospital bag out, got clothes, breast and maternity pads but need to get pjs and toiletries. Think I'm going to do it next weekend when I've finished work!! X

Hi ladies, hope you and babies are all doing ok. I need to have a catch up and see what I've missed! The nursery is now ready and hospital bags are packed for me and baby so I'm nearly ready for him! His movements are getting stronger and he's wiggling for longer which is amazing. I feel like it's a special secret and he's just letting me know he's ok, so lovely x

My hospital bag is an iron fist zombie bag lol its just an overnight hold all. Then have my changing bag packed with babies bits so far, going to have one of hubbys back packs in the car with back up things too xx

At hospital again ladies! Started bleeding bright red blood so just waiting to find out why! Wish me luck - can't see this baby staying in until full term! X
