*~*~* September 2015 Mummies *~*~*

It was quick but that's why they didn't give me any pain relief, they didn't think I was in established labour ha! x

I'm 35 weeks tomorrow so is it advised I start drinking it tomorrow? And by building it up how do you mean? Just one cup and day and then up it till what and when? Xxxx

I drank loads of the stuff from 37 weeks, built up from one cup a day and then by 38 weeks I was squeezing 4 teabags into one drink! I did tear, but then also had a ventouse delivery so it may not have happened had she been born naturally ~ who knows! Also, as we know, had a very quick labour!

Have got a bit sentimental the last few days about my final weeks with just Belle, so even though I can't wait to meet this baby I feel no need to get her out early.... Although all that may change!! Defo would like to make it to sept to have her home for an extra year rather than her being one of the youngest in the school year so my 'operation evict baby' won't start until beginning of sept at least!

Michelle I am so glad the scan went well and baby is such a good weight! Can't wait to do your labour thread at the beginning of sept!

Bunny glad you had such a lovely day! X

Bunny from what I have read you need to increase the amount so by 37 weeks you are drinking 4 cups a day and then after 37 weeks you drink it as much as you like as if it were normal tea. So probably 1 cup a day for a week then 2 cups a day for a week etc. I am going to start at 34 weeks on minimal dose x

I'll pop the shop and get some tomorrow then, can you get it from anywhere?

Thanks Tessa. Awwww didn't think of it like that about the schools and things! Xxxx

Random question but does anyone's baby have hiccups all the time? Little miss seems to have them 4 times a day! Xxxx

If you want the tea bags I think you can get them anywhere - Holland and Barrett definitely do them though and they are less than £2 :)

Think it's the teacher in me bunny!! Saw their difference in August/september children (although mainly boys) and as we don't have to pay for childcare anyway I would rather have her home for an extra year than start school when she is just 4.

Also, this baby hasn't had the hiccups yet but belle used to get them loads and did when she was born still xx

My little boy has only ever had them once that I have been awake for but my daughter used to get them literally ALL THE TIME. Got quite annoying in the end as I would be sat at work trying to type and her hiccups made me keep bumping the desk lol x

My thoughts are the same as yours Tess - much as I want little man here, I'm a TA in a boys school and the difference in reception is massive in terms of emotional maturity - I really want him here September so he has an extra year at home and is one of the oldest in his class. At my baby shower some bugger predicted he'd be born 31st August @ 11:50pm  think I'd be refusing to push!!
That's interesting about the raspberry leaf tea - I don't really know anything about it. Anyone got experience with the capsules/tablets as opposed to the tea (I'm really not a hot drink drinker)

Xxx

Happy last day bunny!!! Officially on maternity leave now
Yea my boy has hiccups several times a day - hubby keeps being mean and saying 'c'mon bean have you not got this breathing/swallowing thing down yet??'
Xxx

I had raspberry leaf from 32 weeks last time and had my son at 40+1 and didn't tear. Also didn't have to push too long x

Bunny Yippee for maternity. Enjoy your rest before tour beautiful bundle arrives :-) xx

I've resigned myself to having August babies now, the consultant was having none of it when I mentioned the 1st September. I do see a mixed bag though at secondary, we definitely have plenty of bright July/August children. I will consider holding the girls back if I feel they are physically at a disadvantage, I feel confident that I could cover the learning side of things for reception and then let them join Y1. X

Well I hadn't even thought about the raspberry tea, if you can get capsules I will def take them in that form (can't stomach hot drinks before I was even pregnant) . Daughters labour on paper was only recorded as 1hr 30mins because they didn't think I was in labour but I did only have about 15/20 mins of pushing a dry birth (no waters) so I did tear, so hoping not to tear again this time! Well scary to think those of us due in the earlier half of September (and hopefully all of us really) will have our babies if not this month, def next!
There were only 2 people at my baby shower predicted I will actually last until September and that was both grandmas and still thought 8 days early so we shall see. Other half things he will be early too! Xx

Happy Birthday today Kelly - enjoy your day x

Great weight from scan Hayes xx

Happy birthday Kelly!! Hope you have a fab day and your boys spoil you rotten!!! Xx

Happy Birthday Kelly!

Gilly have you got an official induction/section date set now? x

No not yet, not until the 12th. But they won't let me go past 38 weeks which is the 26th Aug. If the girls are a decent weight on the 12th it will be nearer the 37 week mark. X
