Kelly, congrats on finding out it's a boy! You haven't missed much from me, if you don't get round to reading back.
Applecrumble, I haven't had the pleasure of that yet, though I did worry when I had my bad cough and I coughed while starting to sit on the toilet and weed before I sat down. I thought it was the start of my Tena days, but fortunately it's held off. I think it can be hereditary as one of my friends is terrible for it since giving birth, her and her sisters and her mum all suffer from weak bladders after having children. Keep going with the pelvic floors - they can only help in the long run, even if they don't stop the problem entirely they're going to make post-birth recovery easier.
Gemma, welcome! Is this your first baby?
Kaa, my cousin's girlfriend recently had a baby, she's breastfeeding and went home the same day so perhaps it depends on the hospital, this was up in the North East. I don't mind staying over too much, but I'd prefer not to. I'm definitely going to try breastfeeding, hope I can manage it.
Instead of buying practical things, I've spent the evening Watch Listing cute babygrows and sleeping bags on ebay!
Is it really nerdy to want to make a spreadsheet of everything I need, including quantities and projected costs? I contemplated doing that this evening before getting onto ebay. My wife would have really taken the piss, she took the piss when I made a spreadsheet to compare egg-sharing IVF costs at different clinics. Apparently it is a really 'teacherish' thing to do!
