*** November 2014 Mummies! ***

Kaa, my other half is a bit like that with sex. Not moaning as such but keeps saying I don't fancy her any more. I really just don't feel like it. Even when I feel better, my headache is always threatening and it's the kind that triggers if I move my head quickly or jerk upright from lying - so I imagine many sex movements will also trigger it.

I like kathryn's suggestion, lol!

Speaking of headaches, I had a couple of clear days but it's back again, mildly yesterday, stronger today. I had to go to town to buy shoes and food desperately, so had to suffer through it. Not looking forward to going back to work with it.

Mellie, you can always blame stuff like that on pregnancy! Vomiting is always a good one - if they ask why you aren't vomming at work too you can just say it's infrequent now and usually first thing only.

Kathryn haha haha great idea!!! Not sire he'd go for it though damn!! Haha.

He's stopped moaning now but I get the u don't fancy me anymore all the time. And it does my head in. I do but I just don't get turned on all the time by the Fucking breeze!!! Argh!

Anyway. Off out today so hopefully he will leave me alone for a bit n if and when I fancy it I will let him know ha.

Thanks girls!! Xxx

Threw up yesterday morning and still suffering from sickness...my oh is not getting any bedroom action till propabably next year!

Nicejuiceypear obvious i know, but are you drinking enough? Also i find fresh air really helps with morning sickness

Oh Apple that's rubbish hun. I'm not tending to feel as sick anymore but that's just because it was substituted with dizzy spells and headaches :( found that if I feel off if I have like a pint of juice/water it does help so maybe I do just need to drink more even though I drink loads anyway or at least thought I did. Worth a try NJP.

I'm drinking so much I'm barely off the toilet! I've been making my drinks in 500ml bottles to keep track of them and am drinking about 3L of water or very weak juice a day. I take one to bed and drink it through the night.

Apple, sorry to hear you're still being sick. Hope it goes soon. All these apps that tell us that the 2nd tri is when you blossom need to f*ck off, right? :D

Kaa, hope things are a bit better with your husband today! A day out sounds like a good idea.

Yeh they're fine hun thanks.
Ah so ur good for drinks then haha. I take a drink to bed every night too always have done though.

I said all these ppl who say u glow in tri 2 are bullshitting. They only say it to make u think there's some hope at the end of a shitty tri 1 haha xx

Haha I agree, I got an email from some baby thing yday that said "you're now officially blooming, with plump cheeks and glowing skin."
My face is currently spottier than when I was a teenager! I look in the mirror and think urghhh! Haha oh and I'm still throwing up religiously every morning! Think the only reason its eased during the day is due to the anti sickness tablets im on.

Yeah, I don't believe in this tri 2 thing now! On a good day, I just feel like I can tolerate things, I never feel fantastic.

I'm trying to find some maternity trousers, so bloody hard. I've tried H&M, New Look, ASOS and Mothercare. I want some overbump black trousers that can pass for work or wearing outside of work, e.g. black linen or similar. But at this rate, I'm going to end up in leggings forever. I found a pair in Mothercare, but not in my size. They're all either leggings, joggers or formal workwear (usually horrible polyester things too).

Have you tried somewhere like Asda or eBay for trousers Nicejuicypear?

Ive had to order the few maternity items I've brought online. Everywhere seems to only sell them online which is annoying. Planning on getting a pair of asda maternity jeans soon as I'll have to wear them for work soon my trousers only just fit!

I'm looking online but the choice is quite limited. I'm only working for another 7 weeks so I don't want to spend a fortune on work clothes. I'm quite a picky clothes shopper anyway. It annoys me that it's all online - you don't know what fits and looks right in maternity clothes, so not being able to try on is no good.

I hadn't thought to try Asda - will try Tesco too!

They're normally all pretty easy to return though so if you don't like its no big deal. Plus most are normally free postage if you get it delivered to the store.

Just ordered my jeans from asda, hope they're alright.

You're only working for another 7 weeks? Are you not going back after the summer hols then? Ive got another 4 months left :(

Made a decision yesterday not to allow OH's brother & his girlfriend access to the baby. He's a violent angry man and she is the type to do subtle and sometimes not so subtle put downs of me and I've decided my baby doesn't need to grow up seeing that. Feel a lot better for it but know there is going to be repercussions for my decision.

I ended up going to the big new look to try on what they had. It was worth the trip - I didn't buy anything but I tried on loads of stuff and now know what styles and sizes to order online.

I've been made redundant, so I don't have a job after the summer, Mellie. So I won't need work clothes after that. So trying to limit my spending!

Babyphoenix, I think you've made the right decision, you don't need people like that in your life.

Even the big new looks by me dont have maternity, I made a trip into town especially!
Oh thats rubbish, do you still get maternity pay though? I've got to try and find a new job post baby. Not looking forward to that at all.

Babyphoenix, you've definitely made the right choice. He'd just be a bad influence on the baby and the last thing you need with a little one is someone trying to put you down. Hope all your OHs family understand the decision.

Yeah, I had to go to the city one and even then the stock was limited. It really annoys me, especially when places like mamas & papas don't stock maternity wear, I mean it's a shop devoted to having babies!

I get my maternity pay & my redundancy money is just going to have to spread thin to cover the rest of the academic year. I'll just have to shop even more carefully than before! How come you'll be looking for a new job after maternity leave?

Im trying to spend more carefully now so I have a pot to dip into once the baby is here. Hopefully my partner will have a slight promotion by the time the baby arrives too (fingers crossed anyway.)
I work 12 hour shifts, 4 days a week. Its far too much with a baby, would mean asking my mom to have baby for 13 hours a day. Meaning I'd hardly see the child. My work so far has denied everyone's requests for flexible working hours due to children. They say it disrupts the business too much. Plus once they do it for one parent they'll have to do it for everyone else.

So hopefully going to try and find a job for 2 or 3 days a week somewhere. Im a qualified teacher (just never actually completed my NQT year) so I'm hoping I can find some sort of job in a school but we'll have to see.

I haven't completed NQT either, I got some of it done but haven't taught for a while, I do interventions now but on a strange admin contract. Suits me though - pay is poor but it's a lot less hassle than full teaching. I don't think I'll ever go back to full teaching, it's awful - not the kids etc but the paperwork and politics.

I get what you mean about the shifts, my partner does 12 hour shifts like that and it would be impossible for childcare. And if your work isn't offering flexible working, it would be difficult to manage. I don't know what your shifts are like but hers are different every week, which is really frustrating when you want to book a weekend away somewhere and the rota isn't out.

I reckon you'll pick something up - TA hours or something like that, they usually bite your hand off if you have a PGCE. Although I want to get out, I'm going to have to stay in education for few years yet to get the school holidays, but once it's a bit older I'm thinking of retraining.

Yea my shifts are the same, all over the place Iincluding weekends plus my partners shifts are all over the place too, so would be a nightmare.
I'm not looking into going into full teaching either, takes up far too much time. Marking, planning etc. Not what you want to have to do with a baby.
Oh that's good news, was worried they'd want me to have some sort of TA qualification too. That's why I'm looking into getting into schools, the holidays will be useful.
