**** November 2012 Mummies **** (everyone welcome)

Morning ladies!

Those photo's in the bath are so sweet.

I had James in with me last night but he didn't like it??? He likes the whole bath to himself LOL!!

CD1 means cycle day 1 (when I was TTC I'd keep track of my cycle so I'd know when to have sex!!)

James went down like a little Angel last night and the second I got into bed he decided he wanted to play. It took me 90 minutes to settle the little monster.

He slept from 11-5am in the end but he had a very unsettled sleep. Lots of arms flailing, thrashing about and grunting! We had a feed about 5am and I managed to get him back down for a few hours but we were up at 8am.

I feel very unrested and tired. I must have got a good few hours but I don't feel like it. Period touch wood isn't too bad yet?

I have no idea when they come back for ladies that BF? My friend has only had one period and her boy is one now (so he's been on solids for a good few months!!)

May pop to my SIL's after his next feed and see how she is getting on! She has a 20 month old and a one month old

You had similar night to us carnat! He kept me up whilst he slept with his whimpers and flailing arms and legs.

That's what Cathy usually does, but my mum said she didn't notice anything!

Just had HV round, Cathy is now 10lbs 2oz the little fatty :) HV was pleased with her weight gain so that's good, in between 50th and 75th centiles for weight and height. She asked me if I'd had any low mood etc I told her about shouting at OH and the return of the panic attacks, she said make an appt with the gp as it sounds like PND and he will most likely prescribe antidepressants, but I don't want them! Xx

I might try and swaddle him tonight!

He lets his granny swaddle him but moans if me or OH try?

xxxxxx

If I swaddled M you would hear his screams where you are!

Sallybee I was offered happy pills and I just said no thank you to which I was told I was being silly.....grrrrr. I'm struggling but not enough to have pills. What I need is extra hands....

They are so quick to prescribe pills :(

Cathy is trying to smile - I've spent about an hour singing nursery rhymes with finger puppets and she is cooing and kinda smiling xx

i nearly showed a DPD delivery man my boob!!

I am mortified! I had to slam the door on him as when I unmatched the door and opening it I noticed my top was up and boob out from bf Massan, he fell asleep on me and in a rush to answer door I put him down (thus waking him up) I forgot about boobage. So I squeeled slammed the door shut and fumbled around getting the stray milk boob away, and boastfully opened the door again and feebly apologised hating my long surname as I signed. He looked amused...I don't think he saw anything. I hope not...for his sake. God...when did I lose all ability to maintain dignity? Oh yes...labour!

Sally omg Cathys hair is gorgeous!!
Kelly your little man.is do cute!! I can't upload pics from my mob for some reason will do it at some point on the PC.

Yeah my thinking about putting him in his own room is that he'll sleep better my oh cannot be quiet no matter how hard he tries and he snores so loudly it sometimes wakes Taylor.

I remember getting offered antidepressants when I was 17 by my gp. Which I refused! Turned out to be the pill I was on!! Xx

I'm going to have so much fun playing with her hair when she's older lol :D

Kelly - how cute is Massan! LOL at your boob story something similar just happened to me I was expressing and the buzzer rang so I jumped up and milk leaked everywhere, turned out to be someone had rung it by accident I was fuming! Xx

lol Kelly! That did make me laugh! I'm surprised I haven't done that yet. I forget I wind her after her booby feed and forget to put them away! What a cutie Massan is xx

Sally..Cathy has an amazing head of hair! Definitely looks like the starts of a smile won't be long till you get them fully I reckon x

I've been worried I'm getting PND :( I have days when I feel down others where I'm fine, maybe I am thinking about it too much and should just chill out. I have no family down here it's really hard to fill my day which is why I've been keen to get to groups, none of my friends have children and they all work so it can be pretty lonely. See how I go and will speak to GP on Monday at my postnatal check.

I'm lucky as I have a wonderful family but all my friends work and with being quite young none of them are interested in babies :( so I know how you feel. Im looking to get in touch with some of my old friends from school who have LOs but nothing so far. So I know how you feel mrswoody xx

Awwww big hugs ladies!

I am lucky that I have 2 very good friends with young children. My sister also has two little boys and both SIL's have little one's [both thier youngest are less than a year] so I have a ready made support network. Even with them and both sets of parents nearby it is still tough. So I can only imagine how hard it is for those of you that live far away from family and don't have friends with kids.

I've had a few days when I've felt like crap but on the whole I have taken to the demands of motherhood quite well. Don't get me wrong when James is going through a tough time I can be in tears several times a day but I am coping just fine with having no sleep and no time for myself. I got used to being tired whilst preggers and I have always been low maintanence when it comes to hair / makeup / clothes etc... As long I have time tobrush my teeth and stick on clean leggings I am all set

Basically as long as James is relatively OK then I feel just great!

Today is a good day though, catch me tomorrow and it could be a different story!

Hi all. These LO's are seriously cute. Keep trying to get on here but everytime I try to post I get halfway thru and then something pops up. Getting a wee bit tired. T still doesn't sleep through and last night he was up an hour earlier then usual. But he does make my day. He now smiles at me and oh plus the other morning at about 5am he giggles in his sleep. The cutest thing I've ever herd.
Mrs woody I hope you start feeling better soon. Has your HV dropped any local baby group stuff off. I'm yet to go to any as I'm still getting a hang of how mine and T's days go at the mo.

Xx

Does your LO burp whilst feeding?

I have noticed recently that M does manly burps whilst on boob, so loud they shock me! It's quite funny really.

It is normal though isn't it?

I think today I am feeling really sorry for myself, oh has to stay over at work tonight so not looking forward to being on my own, I'm a little homesick after having been at home for 8 days over the holidays so maybe it's just a case of settling back down properly? I do hope so.
I can't even grumble and say it's because I don't get to sleep etc as Madison sleeps so well at night from around midnight to 7am and she is really a happy contented baby! That said she has been very clingy to me today, she either senses Daddy isn't home tonight or we are starting the 2nd leap, going by the wonder weeks book.

sazz..I have started at 2 groups this week, Baby Sensory and a Baby group that runs for 4 weeks, I'm hoping to get to know more mummies in the next few weeks.

Gosh I sound like a loner! lol I have friends I promise! It just sucks being 400 miles from our amazing family and friends!! I need to have a word with myself! In the mean time I'm watching Gary Barlow and friends on sky+ so this should help :)

Even though I slept 11-8 and only got up for half an hour to express I'm totally exhausted and have an awful headache :( hope I'm not coming down with something! Xx
