May 2018 Mummies....Tri 2

Ha Claire my ass seems to have got huge too

ohhhh yeah. My Behind had gotten huge. It seems to be growing alongside bump at the minute!

I'm always hungry though nothing fills me

chloe i only had gas and air my last 2. To be honest i'm not sure if it even does anything!! But when i look at side effects of other pain relief methods it puts me off. Like the stronger painkillers have an effect on the baby, or mean you forget the birth itself. and epidural has its own risks plus more likely to need forceps and stuff when you cant feel anything. there's no good option really is there?!!

That's why I stick to the gas and air. I think it did help but you need to be taking it quite a bit for it to build up enough. It's not enough to only take during contractions. I was told if I only started taking it at the start of contractions then it would do nothing. I'm doing a home birth this time so only really have gas and air as an option anyway!

The midwife told me during labour last time, only take it at the peak of the contractions else it wont be as effective. I was like, "You must be joking" as i sucked on it the whole time ha ha

Mine is going nuts at the minute too lol. Scary how big their movements are already but I only know from experience they get worse lol. My son used to really hurt me as he got bigger. I'm enjoying the gentle movements for now before I have to physically hold in feet and head/bum.

oh i am TOTALLY grateful for the gentle movement i have with this one. My little boy was so so painful even by this point . it was honestly awful i was in tears with it. It felt like he was ripping through my skin all the time. This little lady feels like gentle far inside clunks which dont disturb me at all. Placenta is posterior like last time so i have ni idea why one so painful and another not at all!

I think willow wants to be a footballer either that or kick boxer ha

Maybe your son wants to be a footballer when he grows up liz lol

he never stops moving thats for sure. even when he is taking a bottle or 'chilling' watching In the Night Garden his little hands and feet are still fidgeting away......!

That's silly as it has to build up haha. Funny how different advice is based on where you are. I'm delivering in Canada this time so we will see what happens here!

That's why I think this one is a girl as with my daughter she was very gentle and my son basically bruised my insides!

hi lovely ladies, i feel so bad!! im buying lots 2nd hand because of cost currently but i also had a couple tiny sips of partner alchoal weekend just the one sip every now ad again, mainly when i cant be arsed to get a drink and he eating!! could cry when i think back on it!

oh dear lucy! Now i'm not going to encourage you but i'm sure a few sips here and there wont do any harm at all. I've had the odd sip of wine for communion. I remember in my last pregnancy in 3rd tri having a small glass of wine because it really is pretty safe to do so as a one-off by that point, but i felt so guilty after!!!
