May 2018 Mummies....Tri 2

Had my 20 scan today, although I’m nearly 21 weeks now. Was so lovely to see baby moving about and really reassuring, they seemed to do a really thorough job of checking everything was as it should be. We turned our heads when they told us to look away and we didn’t accidentally see anything, so we’re staying team yellow, but it was very tempting to look. It’s still fun to guess though, does anyone want to have a guess? x

What a beautiful scan! I’ll guess boy. No reason...just a guess haha xx

That's a really clean scan sparrow, I guess boy just because maybe she told you to look away as you might see boy bits ?

Glad all went well in your scan Sparrow! I have mine on Monday.

I agree with Claire I'm going to guess boy too for that reason too (totes rubbish with skull and nub theory) such a beautiful scan and look at baby's little nose sooo cute, mines on Tuesday can't wait, not sure wether to make out I know sex or not I'm actually terrified they will turn round now and say it's a boy when we are so excited of having Willow and have her pram ect xx

if you want them to confirm it make sure you ask at the start . My last pregnancy i was like "Is it still a boy?" lol. I would tell them you've had a private gender scan but would they mind confirming it.

Thanks Hun I know the hospital we are at ask if we want to know as they did with my cousin it's just a friend told me they got told they was having a girl and it was a boy so made me paranoid, I've been more paranoid than anything about things since being pregnant xx

at mine they have a very strict notice saying they are busy checking important things and taking measurements so dont even waste their time asking the gender as this is not what they are looking at medically...however surely they must check that everything is ok down there- it's an important organ after all?

You'd think so wouldn't you? But surely they can see if it's a boy or a girl when checking there legs are developing nicely

We told them we didn’t want to know but I got the impression that they wouldn’t have said if we’d asked, they do check down there though because they told us when to look away, I think hey just don’t like to say in case they’re wrong.

Interesting you’ve all said boy, my friends have guessed boy too.

How is everyone this weekend? I finally seem to be getting a bit of a baby bump. I'm at the bored stage now because its a long way to go and all the exciting bits are done! Now I'm just frustrated cos i cant think of any names I like. Plus a husband and daughter who are just as picky with names. Agh!

Hey Liz. Picking names is so challenging. My hubby is slowly going off our name choice and likes another so we'll see what happens. My 20 week scan is a week on Friday, so still a bit is a wait! Is everyone ready for Christmas?

I've been quiet had the in laws round for the weekend putting more chains on door till we can move out hopefully next month once we have found a place and I've had nothing but abuse of them yesterday calling me retribusha (the massive lady on the film norbit who Eddie murphie plays) and fatty and look at her woddle... I'm going to get it even worse next weekend as the in laws are picking us up to drive to Birmingham (I refuse to drive 2-2.5 hours) to spend day with lanes grandparents- then spending Christmas Day in Grimsby with the in laws ( I don't mind driving the hour journey there) still being sick once or twice a day and still suffering with head aches! Have our scan tomorrow can't wait to see her again :-) xx

Had my 20 week scan this afternoon (altho 21 weeks tomorrow) . All was fine apart from snuggly baby who wouldnt move and let the sonographer take measurements . i had to go the loo, move about etc and she was just about to get me to rebook but fortunately managed to get there at the last minute. Although they wont tell gender i was having a good look while she was focussing between the legs trying to check the cord and i definitley didnt see any boy bits so presume she's still a girl ha ha although of course its really not easy to tell unless they take a still and point it out!

Pleased your scan went well liz and little lady behaved in the end. Do you have any pics ?

This prengnacy I'm finding this baby is nearly always on my bladder, I can even feel it when I'm sat or led down. I wasn't like it with Emily at all, not even towards the end .
Sickness has stayed away only because I'm avoiding going in a cars. I'm all up together with the christmas stuff just need to do the turkey and veg shop at the end of the week and wait for my lot to come on Christmas eve. I have a very excited little girl this year, she won't keep still and keeps saying she's excited for Christmas. She is going to sleep later too as she's getting herself wound up , good job she's not in nursery untill after Christmas lol

My pregnancy with my little boy i needed the toilet ALL the time, this time I'm luckier, I'm only needing to go once in the night and thats because i've been woken up by him anyway. He's 14 months this week and just starting to take a few steps even though he has been cruising like an expert since the day he turned 7 months! We are both getting a bit worn down by his waking at 5am , wanting to be out of his cot but then tossing and turning and dozing for another 2 hours more....might have to get tough on him with some controlled crying but at 5 in the morning you just think...ahh, I expect he wil go back to sleep if i just cuddle with him......wrong move!

I did get a profile pic at my scan but its not a brilliant one i'll get it scanned in to the laptop at some point i just cant be bothered right now ha ha.

I got a couple of bags of newborn girly clothes off freecycle yesterday, they are really nice and completely free so thats me sorted!
