May 2018 Mummies....Tri 2

Wow two girls, you both must be so excited! Holli, your OH wanted a girl right? He must be chuffed! I have a feeling we’re having a boy, I don’t know why really but we won’t know until it’s born x

Yes he got very emotional when she announced it was a girl we are so happy, the in laws are too as there's no girls what so ever in their side I was looking through out the scan to see if I could tell I kinda figured it out when she zoomed in between her legs but wasn't 100% sure, what makes you think boy? Xx

Not really sure, just the more I picture having the baby I see it being a boy, I can’t seem to picture having a girl, but I could be completely wrong. My OH says he doesn’t mind what we have but I think he would slightly prefer a boy, although we want more than one so hopefully we can have one of each one day. So sweet that your OH got emotional, I think mine will cry at the birth x

I have a feeling I'm having a girl but won't know until it's born. In my last mummies group on here took guesses on this scan and 13 said girl and 4 said boy. And this scan does look similar to my daughters. So we shall see x

Lovely news ladies two girls ! Week it’s making me tempted to find out ! But also loved being team yellow last time!

Congratulations ladies!! 2 little girls and the photos are amazing!!

It's all starting to become real now, 9 days till our scan, can't wait!

Thankyou :-) it's very real now and it's great to know baby is a she and not an it, I've felt like I've bonded with her so much more today knowing that she's my little girl now even though I feel so poorly still nothing has wiped the smile of my face today xx

Aw two girls! Congratulations! I feel emotional having read all the posts since I was last on.

Very exciting! Hubby has decided he wants to know the sex after all but we won’t find out until January x

That’s exciting CJ! Is it possible to tell if they identical or fraternal from the scans? If they’re fraternal you could have a boy and girl in there. I don’t suppose you have any preference at this stage? My OH is a twin and I think he was secretly a bit disappointed when we had our first scan and there was only one in there x

CJ I've heard that when you find the twins genders the first time it's not always right they can get it wrong so don't go ahead and buy the gender coloured stuff straight away x

Ahhh cj that's lovely like a belated Christmas present :-) xx

This is what we were told by our consultant...Our twins have their own placenta (which we saw) but that doesn’t mean they’re not identical as they could have ‘split up’ before implantation. The only way to know for sure before birth is if they are sexed differently. Otherwise it’ll be after birth (they said It can take a while to tell without DNA testing).

We have no massive preference to be honest. I feel pretty chilled out about their sex and combination. Just still amazed we have two!

I’ve heard telling can be harder with twins Claire Louise, so it’ll be taken with caution. But we get so many scans after January for growth monitoring that we will get it checked again. Plus, the twins are lying perpendicular to each other so hopefully the sonographer will get a good look st their ‘areas’ haha.

So happy we are all in the second trimester. It’s amazing! Xx

I know what you mean cj I never thought I'd ever be pregnant let alone be in the second trimester such an amazing over whelming feeling isn't it? Xx

It is! I can’t stop smiling and touching my little bump. Even the rubbish symptoms are amazing. When you think that each one of our bodies has grown cells into tiny humans in 12 weeks, it’s just amazing.

Love the name choice! Willow is on our list for girls names with Poppy. We seem to like flower / plant names haha x

CJ , poppy is our favourite at the moment. But oh is worried that it sounds lovely for a child but not for a adult . It's so hard this time around thinking of a girls name x

And here are the scans from Thursday. They’re not hugely clear but they ones on Wednesday should be better x

We thought the same, as did my sister when she named my niece Rosie. But it works for her so we feel less worried now xx

We also love Lily but we can't have it as it's too similar to my little monster Emily

Awww wow those scans are lovely :-)
Very good name choice is Willow we said Willow from before even before we fell pregnant but we couldn't fully decide on a boys name we kept going from Jackson to Chester to Beau, my friend kept saying it must me a girl with us been set on a girls name ha- think it was wishful thinking that came true :-) I love the name poppy too my 8 year old cousin is called Poppy Ann xx

If we have a girl I expect her middle name will be grace. I like 1 syllable middle names if they have more than 1 in there first name. Emilys is Mae.
