Onion can I ask why your having a c section? I'm hoping to have one but will need to put my case across to the consultant first.

Hi I have a brain condition which when I had my son who is now 9 years they told me there wasn’t enough research as to what could happen under labour conditions with it & it could rupture 😮!!! So I chose the safest option of a section ( of course!) This time round the consultant has said there is evidence that it is safe under labour conditions but if I requested a section I could have one. I chose to have one as it would still make me anxious if I had to go through labour what could happen!! Sounds very dramatic doesn’t it!!

Hi he’s said they can’t book it yet and they usually wait until around 34 weeks to give you a date but as this has been agreed early on they may be able to book it in sooner! Xx🤞🏻

Onion, how is your son with the news of becoming a big brother?! My daughter is 9, she had wanted a sibling forever, I had a little boy last oct and she has been such a help! I smugly thought I had got the age gap thing completely the best , felt sorry for people with two young ones at once, then found out i was expecting again so that taught me not to be so smug haha!

He seems ok with it at the moment but people keep congratulating him and he’s getting a bit sick of it now but it’s not real to him yet I’m only 14 weeks! He loves babies and toddlers, would rather play with them than kids his own age but not sure if that will still be the case when it’s here! Glad to hear you found the age gap a good thing as I was doubting it!

Oh, yeah it's brilliant! She is old enough to understand that he can't help needing attention, old enough to watch him so i can get a shower, brilliant at entertaining him!

Hi all. Finally able to hop over to second trimester. We had our dating scan yesterday but that didn’t really help as one twin measured 12w5 (as expected) and one 12w2. On that basis, and the fact I won’t likely go full term they didn’t give me a date. So I’ll stay at 27th May 2018 until told otherwise haha.

The twins are ok. One chilled baby and one wriggler.

Need to go to another hospital in another county to have the screening tests as apparently twins need a different scanner than available at our main hospital. So a bit of longer wait to find out risks.

Can’t stop smiling. So happy to be here. Excited to catch up on posts here today xx

Aww lovely CJ... have you got a lovely bump with you having twins?

I'm still being mardy.. sick of being poorly sick of tasting honey now even though it soothes my throat (I've never been a big fan of it) so another day in bed for me trying to rest keep warm and drink lots, going to watch some Christmas movies I think and snuggle- chest is in bits but think it may be losening now as when I cough I feel stuff move but doesn't half hurt, my back kills feels like some one is still sat on my chest and I wana rip my head off as everything hurts on it, coughed that much last night made myself sick trying to keep positive for tomorrow when finding out if we are pink or blue- the in laws are coming so that will be nice they can't wait (haven't spoken to my parents in a few years) hope your all feeling better than me xx

Yes; I’ve a decent bump on my. Already given in to maternity clothes haha. I’m gonna be a walking blimp by the time I’m ready to give birth.

Sorry you’re so poorly. Sounds like you’re having a rotten time of it. At least you have your gender scan to look forward to. Hope it goes well and can’t wait to hear what colour you are! Xx

Thankyou I'm very mardy too when I'm poorly so I probably don't help myself haha, scans at 11:30 but GBliz is before me at 9:30 so there's 2 of us finding out tomorrow xx

I’ve had loads of cramp like pains today and a proper feeling of something going on in my belly but not sure if it’s baby moving or my stomach is a bit off. I feel fine though just worried me a bit some of the cramps are quite sudden and sharp. Anyone else had anything similar? I’m 14 weeks

is it dull like bad period cramps or sharper like pulling twinges particularly when you move or sneeze?

A bit of both. Not had many but the are uncomfortable when they happen.

Yea I get it quite a lot onion, can be quite painful if I get up to quick or sneeze or cough and I have cramps and twinges a fair bit, I'm not too worried though as I've had them quite a few weeks and last scan I had was fine xxx

yes the sharp twinges can get worse and worse as your belly grows! Also your uterus will be moving upwards just about now so you may well feel like something is going on
