May 2018 Mummies....Tri 2

This will be my second my daughter was 3 last month. Hopefully you will be better stargirl and nothing will come of it.
With my last pregnancy I worked with raw meat and raw fish I really don't know how I managed it.

 I think the smell of raw fish would have done me in!

I really don't know how I managed it as I had bad sickness unill 18 weeks.

Thanks ladies no fun having a viral infection but they did say I'd be much worse if I hadn't of had my flu jab and could of turned into pneumonia so I'm glad I had it now as I hummed and arrred over it

This is our first baby after trying for 18 months and as much as I feel crappy I know it will be more than worth it when little one is laid in my arms really can't wait for Saturday though to see if we are pink or blue :-) xx

Has anyone bought any baby bits yet? I haven't really got alot to get as we bought neutral for my first pregnancy.

Last time I think I got a mixed of newborn and up to 1 month in clothes I did start picking up 0-3 towards the end too. I don't know about nappies as I really liked asda nappies until they changed them and now they are crap it was a good job it was towards the end of my daughter being in them . She also had pampers when I couldn't get asda but I'm not really a big fan of them either.
I bought a packet of each from different shops and decided that way.

Are you finding out the gender or staying team yellow?

We have our gender scan in 15days and then I'll start buying things I think. The mother and mother in law have bought an outfit each but that's it so far. I'm just focusing on sorting the house out ATM while I have the energy to do so lol.

We are trying to sort out an extension on our house at the moment. We got planning permission a few weeks ago. It's all bad timing lol

I haven’t bought anything yet, we need to wait until Xmas is over and then I’ll make a list and do my research, I love a list! We’ve been given a Moses basket though and my Mum has knitted some hideous outfits, I keep telling her the baby won’t want much knitted when it’s newborn as it’ll be the start or summer, but she won’t listen!

I don’t know about anyone else but I’ve only just started to feel some proper attachment to the baby, this is my first and up until recently it all just felt surreal and like I couldn’t actually believe there was a baby in there. I’m only now starting to feel excited about meeting the baby, and I’m starting to feel a bit protective. Is that normal?

Aww sparrow I was like that with my daughter but this time around I have terrible guilt . We told her last week when I got the all clear that she's going to be a big sister and she really didn't take it well at first. She was scared of me and said "she doesn't want to cuddle mummy ever again " it broke my heart I went out of the room and cried my eyes out. I will never forget what she said.
She's okay now and says she wants the baby to be a girl lol

Aww thats a shame claire_louise. My daughter (9)is the opposite- she cried her eyes out with shock/joy because she could hardly believe it could be true. She waited "her whole life" for a sibling who finally came last year when she was 8. so to have another on the way when we have only just got used to being a family of 4 is a bit surreal. She is really anxious about everything being ok as i had 2 miscarriages a few years back so she keeps instructing me "dont have cramps ok?" . It doesnt seem at all real to me especially now my sickness has gone and i have absolutely no bump so it feels like i'm not pregnant. Hard to believe there is anything hiding in there as i am quite skinny round the middle. Hoping it feels a bit more real after the gender scan but it'll probably still feel like i've walked into some kind of film set where everyone is acting like i'm pregnant lol

I feel like I’m in a weird in between stage of the pregnancy, a lot of my symptoms have subsided and I can’t feel any proper movement yet so it’s like there’s no evidence that I’m pregnant, can’t wait to feel proper movements that I’m more sure about.

Claire, I can only imagine how upset you must have been when your daughter said that, I’m glad she’s come around and I’ve no doubt she’ll be very excited when baby is born x

She sounds like a caring big sister liz. X my daughter is only 3 so she really doesn't understand. I started showing from 8 weeks I've been living in hoodies so nobody knew untill after my scan. My mum did suspect though but never said anything lol

Aww bless you Claire I'm glad she's ok now though must hurt to hear your baby say that even if she didn't mean it
I still hardly believe I'm pregnant it's only cos of my sickness and my growing belly that I see I'm pregnant I still get paranoid that something is going to happen so I think that's one of reasons I'm not 100% attached to baby which makes me feel so guilty as it's so much wanted I think after gender scan and when I can feel baby kicking it will feel more real but then again I don't think it will feel real for me till baby is in my arms xx
