**** June & July 2013 Mummies and Babies ****

Ooh Ive got a swing like this that my neighbour gave us. Thought r wouldnt be able to go in it till he could hold his head up. I might just give it a try!

Definitely do! I've only got the swing going on a delicate setting as I was a bit worried about his head too - although I reckon he is about 90% there now.

Best thing is I got it from eBay for £8.50! Bargain!

Well done - I'm currently trying to buy some bits off eBay as duplicates to leave at grandparents houses - including a swing. Keep missing the end of the auctions tho!

He's finished feeding he just won't settle and is snorting like a pig in his cot - I'm trying to ignore him but its so loud. Think it'll turn into a cry anytime now.

I just wish he'd go down peacefully after a feed!

Oh god I hate that when you're laying there silently praying they'll stop snorting and when just fall asleep!! I do that every night too and don't even want to risk moving or looking at him in case he takes it as a sign to wake up! Hope he settles soon. My boy feeds for at least an hour every night.. Just hitting the hour mark now actually and he's still feeding.. Wish me luck! Xxxx

Harrison takes forever to feed too Claire. Even the health visitor commented on what a slow feeder he was lol x

Hi everyone.

Not posted on here for a while. Nice to see that all babies are doing well.

I'm feeling crap today its either mastitis again or a virus, and I have both kids at home. Think I'll have to top up on paracetamol and take them out somewhere.

So upsetting about the death of a 6 week old in Cardiff, how can people do that I will never know. There have been so many disturbing cases recently of young children being abused etc. Sad stuff. :-(

Hope everyone else is well. xx

Its terrible isnt it! :(

Aww noo hope its not mastitis hun. That killed me! Worst week of my life when i had that in both boobs! Xxx

I've had it once already but so far haven't actually got any redness on my boob so it could be something else. Just feel crap though!

I just want to share my funny experience last night:

Harrison starts crying for a feed..
Me "Alex, are you getting up with me?"
Alex "Yep, ill just find this first"
Me "find what?"
Alex "I can't explain it"
Me "you can't explain what you can't find"
Alex "no, I can't explain it"
Me "Alex are you properly awake?"
Alex "look I'm just going to input this data, then ill find it okay"
Me "what?!"
Alex "just give me a second to find it!"
Me "FIND WHAT?!"
Alex then sits up in bed, rubs his face.. "the babies crying"

Hahaha! Once he had woken up properly I asked him about it & he had no idea what I was talking about. But said he was dreaming about this new component he had been working on in work so that must of been what it was LOL!

Lolol haha my stepson was having a full blown conversation in his sleep the other day haha

But uhm I'd check because our little man wasn't weighed yesterday while he had his 6-8 week check on friday wasn;t weighed either by the drs she said they'll do it and measure him before his jabs n they didn't I actually said to them you're not even weighing him and walked out quite peed off because it wasn't 'baby clinic' !!

Hi ladies havent posted on here in a while. My lo is growing up too fast!! Absolutely loving being on maternity leave - sooooo dont EVER want to go back to work! lol x

Lmaaooooo Sara! Mikes done things similar lol!

Minivoid i bloody hope they weigh him, apprently baby clinic gets proper busy by me!! :/ id rther them do it 2mz at check up or jabs day!

Colourmeblue im the same hun! I reallllyy could stay at home forever lol! I hate my job and dnt wanna go bk :( but i hve to cos i get full company pay for 18wks before smp that id have to pay back :/ xx

I'd check baby clinic is a joke! When I went at 5 weeks he were sleeping the entire time think it took a good hour to be seen.. It's nice to have a little chat with the other mums but it can be a little awkward and he can't play yet or anything so think it's a ballache waiting!

Babyclinic by me is always really busy too. But they always fit you in no matter what. I quite like going because I get to see my midwife there, she's also a hv, and its nice that she looked after me all pregnancy & now gets to see him grow x
