**June 2019 Testing Thread**

@SugaryIris I’m sorry. I hope something works out and your ivf plans can happen a lot sooner.

Is there still any chance you could conceive naturally?

Thank you hun.

I have conceived 3 times but all ended in chemicals, no reason that they can find might just be pcos. So there is a possibility. I’m hoping with ivf they can pick the best embryo to give us a fighting chance at sticking.

They don’t do ivf on the nhs in my area, it’s a postcode lottery x

Really is sugar aint right at all. Regarding testing nhs on us have just gone dead. Havent heard anything no clinic visit/referral nothing. Some places say no ivf some say after 3 years etc etc! Crazy & Unfair

That’s terrible :-( I didn’t realise there were areas were you don’t get any tries. Near me one CCG does 3 tries and another is 1. It just doesn’t make sense x

My area is 1 ivf after investigations after 12mths. If investigations anything to go by i have no hope ever so extremely unlikely to do ivf thru nhs. 10 miles away its 1 cycle ivf after 3 years trying. Madness.
I honestly thought my doctors were doing great at start testing was fast, but then i noticed compared to someone else back in March, we hadnt yet seen a fertility clinic etc and alarm bells started ringing. none of my tests are being done where i live. Hospital scan is being done 10-15miles away for example. I have tried contacting doctor to ask why i i havent yet been referred to a clinic and get no response. My husbands urology appointment - heard nothing - they said to us if you havent heard anything by June to contact so we did and got told they will contact us etc..again a hospital that isnt our own one, 20 miles away this one. Makes no sense. But britain is a built up place now with lots of people. Sorry 4 Rage

11dpo pink spotting once when I wiped. Thinking AF is on her way. It's due Thursday/Friday ish I say that cuz that would be a 28 day cycle but I mean i know sometimes it can be a little off.

I’m sorry sophie

Some areas just have less patients to deal with so it is less waiting time for some, it does suck I know

If they say they’re going to call you back but don’t then call again, sometimes the only way is to keep at them

My hospital where I had my tests and fertility appointments was 20miles away and where I had ivf (with nhs) was 60miles away. The hospital closer that also does ivf on nhs was far too busy which is why they sent us further away. So it may be why your tests are further away if you have somewhere closer.

Yes i agree. we are more lucky as we probably can afford to do the tests privately but at same time we are not loaded. people who have no money no savings would have the crappest time ever living here!
We have enough for 1 round ivf, maybe 2 if do multicycle but does really depend havent got talking finances with any clinic yet so cant be certain if we do have enough-

So, the spotting is officially an anomaly. Nothing last night and nothing this morning but creamy cm. Colour me confused.

I’m trying not to get my hopes up. I’m 90% sure this is just my body finding a new way to trick me :/

AF was due today according to my app.

As I've said many times, our NHS experience wasn't great but that was purely down to the consultant we saw. Referral times really weren't bad in my opinion.

From my experience, bloods for her and sperm analysis for him are done by GP. Repeated by GP if needed then refer to NHS fertility once all results back. Some GPs can organise ultrasound for her but other areas do this after referral to fertility. These criteria are set by the fertility clinic in your area so if the GP doesn't provide all they need, they will just reject the referral. Your GP should refer you through the choose and book system. You will get a password so you can book the appointment yourself. I was given a choice of hospital so could see waiting times at each. More specialised tests like HSG won't be arranged until you are seen at the hospital. I hope that helps.

I get 3 full rounds on NHS as long as bmi under 30, you or your parter don't have any children and you both don't smoke and are under 40 years old. I know I am very lucky! We had to be trying 2 years, then took about 1 year to get through all the Investigations so we told a white lie after 1 year and got refered!

As I’m waiting for af and thinking about the month ahead will people share their changes in diets when ttc if any, what supplements are you all taking if any? Did anyone do anything differently the month they fell pregnant. Just want to get peoples views as I feel like I’m doing everything but it’s not enough. Thanks ladies!

The only time I got pregnant (sadly miscarried) we didn’t do anything differently really but I might have been a little more relaxed as we weren’t really trying as was waiting for a frozen embryo transfer. I had cut back on most vitamins and supplements I was taking before (there was a lot!) and I think I was only taking pregnacare and coq10 at the time.

I’m currently taking pregnacare, maca, extra vitamin D, coq10, inositol.

I took epo and cough syrup before ovulation to try help with cm.

And after ovulation I started taking baby aspirin and using progesterone cream.

Desperate for it to be our cycle but not feeling that hopeful :(

Feeling pretty shocked right now & in disbelief. I want to go & buy some more expensive tests as I just keep thinking "this can't be positive".

Congrats @Everdreamer thats a BFP! How many DPO are you, it’s a dark line for a cheapie x

Thank you. I'm so shocked! I've been to Boots for a branded test too as I overthink everything. I think I'm about 16dpo.

I still keep feeling like AF is coming. Slight cramping & my boobs hurt. Sore boobs are a PMT symptom for me so a + test was so unexpected.

This was also the first cycle since we started TTC in Dec that I didn't use any OPKs.
