*** June 2015 Mummies ***

Cramps have totally stopped now thankfully. God knows how I will cope with contractions if I found those uncomfortable :-( :-(

Haha so there is in Tri 1. Wowsa! Time is flying. Is May on Friday and then we are up girls :-). We already have our first baby so who is next!! Hope Emma is doing well!

Is anyones breasts suddenly got painful? I dont know if that means my milk is coming in or what but their really sore and achey, not sure how to get relief?

Up at silly o clock with a sleepless toddler :( hope this sleep regression is a quick phase, its even less fun when 8 months pregnant, sore and exhausted zzzz

Apparently toddlers do go through a sleep regression when there about 2. DD has been waking much earlier than usual. It is a phase though, like most things. The advice is to try and stick with your normal routine.

Problem I'm having is big painful kicks. I'm starting to wonder if the steroid injections they gave have made this baby super strong  never hurt this much with DD.

That sounds possible buggy.

I just realised that I'll need to tell my midwife tomorrow about my dogs infection encase I need to take something too?

Does anyone know if the feeding workshop is for mums or couples? I thought that partners should go but it's during the day so that affects work x

Belfa is for woman only (mines is in a few weeks 10am-12). That's what we were told at our ante natal class - and we are under the same health board.

Yeah buggy my baby kicks have become super strong recently and kinda hurts now. Have to hold my stomach sometimes to stop the jabs becoming worse! Dunno if my baby is taking protein shakes in there!! xx

Buggy - Love the idea that you've got a wee hulk in your tummy :) Apparently they feel stronger now as there is less fluid around them to cushion the blows.

Belfa - Glad Harvey Moon is going to be ok (fab name btw!)@

Had our antenatal class last night, was informative and helped OH understand the birthing process and what to expect in labour. He's more looking forwards to the breast feeding, washing and nappy changing talks next week though.

Have my 34week MW appointment today, should be getting my GTT results back (had it 6weeks ago!). See her every two weeks from now on - Time is going to fly by ladies!

xx

DD was born big and strong, she could support her own head from day one! Just worried about what this one will be like being even bigger and stronger! :o/

Wow! That must have been handy :)

Just had a proper look at my changing bag - The boots free one - and realised that it is TINY.

Was planning on using it as LO hospital bag but it wouldn't be any use, nor would it fit much in for regular use either.

I'm now on the look out for a reasonably prices (below £40) changing bag that looks good too. They are all just so expensive though!

x

I joined the boots baby club pismo but haven't seen anything about the bag! My work colleague said she just saw it next to the nappies and took it to the till to claim it - what did you do? I'll have a look out for changing bags for you, I don't have mine yet and DH has since decided that he doesn't like the one I chose after I spent HOURS looking for something I liked!

Coletteypie I thought as much but I like taking DH as I need him to give me a lift from work lol! x

Belfa - I did just what your friend did. It was beside the nappies and I think I had to buy a packet of pampers to get the bag free. Boots have been doing this promo for years, the one I got when I had my son was fab but they don't seem to be as spacious anymore. I guess you cant expect much if it comes free so I shouldnt really complain.

I bought this changing bag- http://www.mothercare.com/Mothercare-Quilted-Tote-Changing-Bag/450945,default,pd.html (paid full price for it though annoyingly as it went down a couple of days later.) Is really roomy but looks like an oversize handbag. I think it looks really good as I am not a girly girl and therefore didn't want one of the expensive designer patterned ones. Has a pink lining though. Possibly not so good for the men but then my OH has a plain black satchel changing bag that I bought him for Xmas for him to use.

My BH are uncomfortable but not painful as such. Unless I have been standing up or walking around for a long while and then they seems to get a little painful at the bottom of my bump. My biggest irritation at the minute is that baby seems to like sticking his/her bum out at the top fo my bump which gets a bit sore and makes bump a funny shape. Luckily with a little bit of prodding and rubbing they wiggle back into position again. x

Mine have never been painful before :(. Was like period cramp at the lower part of my bump...but really hard to ignore. Wasn't really coming in waves or anything - just kinda sat there annoying me for 10 mins whilst baby jiggled like a mad person! I tried changing positions but didn't stop it - so maybe wasn't BH. But once it did stop it didn't come back again....phew. Might just be my body getting into gear for what is to come eeek!

Lovely changing bag btw. I got the Stokke one that matches my pram - but was fairly expensive. But it clips to pram etc, hence how i justified the price to myself lol!

My BH (well, that's what I'm calling it) was the same. It made baby go mental and I genuinely thought I was going in to early labour  - drama queen ;) x

I've not had any bh! Don't think I've felt even a twinge this entire pregnancy! X

Having BH daily here - Normally when bladder is super full or when I make a quick movement that involves my stomach (bending over it, standing up straight etc.).

Lovely bag Scotcher but not what I'm looking for sadly, although at that price I was tempted. Maybe I'm just really picky :(

Midwife was great, measuring almost spot on dates. Heart rate was normal and baby is head down and facing left. Had my final lot of bloods taken and urine sample was fine (last one had protein and ketones in it but I had been poorly for a few days).

On another note I realised I have a potential issue with my mat pay and trying to get that sorted all day. Took me three hours just to be able to actually speak to a person in HR - then sent a lengthy email and waiting for a reply now. Basically I have realised that I should be entitled to the full amount of Mat pay whereas they would be totally happy just paying SMP (the difference is almost £4000 over the whole of mat leave - Not something I want to miss out on!)

Hope everyone had a nice day, been feeling ok although dinner keeps repeating on me. Really annoying as making me feel sick. Got midwife tomo, 34 week appointment, I can't believe baby technically cooked in 3 weeks and 6 weeks until DD. Wonder who will be next?? I'll see MW every 2 weeks now too.
Looking forward to our antenatal class on sat, it's all day. Hubby looking forward to it too. Does anyone's OH's want a man bag changing bag? Mine does lol.. Though he found one that cost twice as much as mine, haha... He can get an expensive one when I'm back at work if he still needs one...

Haha that is funny Lucy - what a diva ;-)! My hubby likes the Stokke one we got - so think we will be happy to share :-)!

Wow pismo, that is a crazy difference in pay. How did your HR dept get it so wrong? You're a nurse aren't you (presume Nhs)?? Unless maybe you work at a private hospital, so surely they have decent procedures!? Terrible.

I don't have a 34 week appt, had one at 32 weeks. Got my 36 week next week!!

Evening ladies :-) Had a delivery of raspberry leaf tea and evening primrose oil capsules arrive today. It's a few weeks until I'll start taking them but used both last time and had a short, relatively easy labour so hoping for the same again this time - fingers crossed!

I've started bouncing on my gym ball this week, much to dd's amusement! She decided she was joining in earlier and was bouncing on a balloon - very cute!! :-)

Im getting loads of braxton hicks, sometimes I get several an hour then none for a few hours. But a lot throughout the day. They dont hurt but they are uncomfortable.

I had my 31 week appt today at 31+5 and measuring 28cm. They dont seem concerned though. Anyone else measuring small?

Cant believe some of you are having 34/36 week appts...eeeeeek!

Well I've had a pretty bad day! My bump has dropped!! I can breath, I no longer have feet in my ribs, but I do have pretty bad pressure behind my pubic bone. I could literally feel his head pushing against it today. Had tightenings from 1pm until 5pm every 5-10 minutes, like Braxton hicks but far too much!! Came back around 8pm tonight. Phoned hospital and they have said I can go in if I want. OH is asleep on the couch but on standby in case I decide I need to go! Fingers crossed baby Hayden is staying out but I don't think it's gonna be much longer xx
