*** June 2015 Mummies ***

Welcome Vickyclare, I'm Midlands too ;)

DD seems to have a UTI, ended up taking her to hospital last night, didn't get back til gone 11pm and then another fairly rough night with her coughing :( She has anti-biotics for the UTI and lots of ibuprofen/paracetamol to get her fever down so hopefully she'll improve today.

My pelvis hurts soooo bad!

Hi Vicky :-)!

Aww pismo. Don't be beating yourself up. Can't totally understand why you are stressing. He will of course miss his wee friends but kids at that age are sooo sociable and make new friends constantly. You guys are doing what is best for the family, so keep that in mind.

I had horrible palpitations in bed last night. Had it a few nights in a row now. Only seem to notice when in bed. Am sure I've read palpitations are normal cos of increased blood flow but didn't feel nice.

Weather for the weekend is pretty gross up here :-(

Oh and buggy what a horrible night :-(!!! Hope your wee family is better today! Hopefully the antibiotics kick in soon!

I cant sleep and my mind wont rest. Thoughts for tonight - parental guilt :(

We are moving house in July hopefully (once our contract is finished here) somewhere 50miles away - Closer to OH work. We have moved house roughly once a year since 2010 (due to different reason) but have luckily only changed DS school once (between year 1 and 2 - He is now in year 3).

The immense guilt I feel for moving house yet again is currently so overwhelming that I am sat here in tears ;( I know this move is the best thing for the family long term (closer to OH work, cheaper rent - meaning I wont have to work, cheaper buying prices, larger town ect) but I just cant get over the way my DS may feel.

He is so grown up (almost too grown up for his age) and i feel to blame for him missing out on childhood. I know he is sad about moving and leaving his friends behind - OH is less sympathetic but I get it and I just want to make it easier for him.

Sorry about the rant but just didnt know where else to vent at this ridiculous hour. It feels like the guilt is literally eating me up...

x

Oh Pismo! Your son is not missing out on his childhood. He's so young it will soon become a distant memory and they do make friends more easily at that age. It's best you are all in the right place, it sounds like you are moving for the right reasons.

I'm sure you will/do anyway but just make sure you involve him in the process as much as you can so he feels included in the decision. Maybe decorate his new room or treat him to a new piece of furniture or something for him to play with in the garden? Give him something to get excited about. He's bound to be a bit anxious but just be positive.

Your just doing the mum thing, we all feel guilty about lots of things nearly all the time! It doesn't mean that you aren't doing what's best for him though.

Colettypie the palpitations aren't nice, I was laying in last night and was convinced I could hear my heartbeat..it was kinda freaky, I moved position and it went away.

Buggy.. Hope the antibiotics kick in soon.

We've just done loads of work on the nursery, all the paint and touch ups are done, it's now for the real stuff... Building more furniture tomorrow, today I built 3 shelf units. Worn out now... But we are getting takeaway tonight x

I wish I could sort out the baby stuff! Our room and the spare room is a tip! Still got to paint and wallpaper in our room, before we can move on to the spare which DD will move in to. The wardrobe hasn't been built so I have nowhere to put the clothes. We don't even have room for all our stuff at the moment, there's a cupboard on the landing we're planning on using for extra storage but it needs painting and shelves putting in! The walls in the spare room are awful too, will need a lot more scraping and then sanding and filling before it's ready to decorate. I don't see how it's going to get done on time when I'm supposed to be resting and OH is a bit slow, bless him, plus he has a full time job...

Thought I'd had a breakthrough with my nursery furniture - a set I like was available for reservation in my local argos. Got my uncle to get a pickup from his work this morning, on route to collect and pay for it, get a phonecall from them to say a "part is missing".

Getting fed up and antsy - just want the room sorted!

Urghh think baby is having a growth spurt. Feeling stretched to the limit tonight and having some random pains. 7-10 more weeks of this...think im gona end up hugeeeee!! Anyone else feeling the stretch?? X

Here's hoping, do you go through stages of tightness then bump growing? That's how it feels I'm going, but I don't know if it's in my head.

Yeah bubba sempt to go through a growth spurt the other day, felt massive and tight on my belly settled down though now

Well I am pooped! Been at my mums wedding all day! I'm finally home, swollen feet and achy legs! Tucked up ready for work at 7am!!! Argh!!! Lose an hours sleep to because the clocks change.

I get days when my bump aches and I think it's when little man is having a growth spurt! His bum has been up by my rib cage all day and night, you could actually see it sticking out my bump, he did not want to move it no matter what I did! Not very comfy, little monkey! Xx

Thanks girls, I did feel better once I managed to get some sleep. Must admit that mum guilt is becoming quite common along with all of these hormones flying around.

Buggy - Your poor LO, hope she starts to feel better soon!

Charlie - Had to giggle at the idea of a tiny bum being visable :)

Apparently this little one is head down, i'm not sure but I keep getting something stuck under the table which he/she isnt too please with me for.

x

Yeah girls think thats what it is, think I read theres a growth spurt at this time. Had the worst night sleep ever, my bump feels ridiculously tight and uncomfortable with little random pains in places. Was up a few times in night as I felt short of breath and as if there was a weight on my chest, felt I wasnt able to take a full breath properly which makes sense if ive had a growth spurt. Still feel shitty and tired today :( Seems so long until ive another hosp or midwife appt, im wondering how the growth is going, was told last time by consultant at scan that lo was now measuring big and had went up the growth centile on the chart thingy. Dont know what to make of that as dont really understand those charts! Hope everyone else is sleeping better! You must be exhausted charlie, hope you have a quiet day in work! Xx

I've been getting a lot of pains, including really low down, I feel like I've been kicked in the vagina by a donkey!

I think it's baby moving down, and probably getting bigger too. I'm not looking forward to the next 10 weeks, I think it will only get worse :(

DD is still sick but not quite as bad as she was.

Oh dear buggy. Not the best weekend for you with both you and DD not feeling your best. Hopefully you will feel better for the long weekend next weekend.
We put up our cot today as the box in our living room was driving me barmy. Thats all LO's furniture sorted. Just got to sort out our room so I can take all our stuff out of their wardrobe and start hanging baby things up.

Can't believe it is April next week. Where has all the time gone for us June mummies. Babies will be here before we know it. X

OH has spent all day upstairs doing painting, he's got a lot done bless him. Just need to paper one wall in our room and it is finished whoop

I'm feeling absolutely huge now, defo had a growth spurt too. My bump has changed the past few days and had some serious movements, sure I had a bum today keep poking out lol.. We've put all the furniture up in the nursery apart from the cot which hubby still needs to paint. But not important as baby going into snuzpod first. Gonna put our accessories out in 3/4 weeks time. Something else to look forward to. Bubba actually has so much stuff lol.. Knackered now, feeling the hour lost definitely and up for work early... Bed soon me thinks, x

Aw I am feeling big too. Was over at Mother in laws for dinner as is my Hubby's bday tomorrow. She was telling me I was looking neat, which was echoed by hubby's aunt and grandma - so they were making me feel a bit better!

We have made some good progress on clearing out rubbish being stored in nursery! Hubby and his dad are wallpapering and painting on Friday. Can't wait for it to begin looking like a proper baby room! Eeeek with it being April in a few days, we are officially on the home stretch!!!

Hiya ladies, I'm sneaking in a day early - 27 weeks tomorrow :-) I've been lurking for ages though ;-)

My bump seems to have gotten really big this week, I don't particularly feel much bigger but caught sight of myself in a full length mirror earlier and was really shocked at how big I look! We were at the antenatal assessment unit on Weds as I'd been having pains and reduced movement. Bubs is fine but midwife did say I was measuring 2 weeks ahead. Next midwife is in a week and a half so will see how I'm measuring then... DD was only 6lb 7oz, the idea of having a big baby terrifies me!

Have finally started getting things done this weekend having felt very unprepared up until now! Sorted through all DD's newborn clothes yesterday (can't believe she was ever that teeny!). We were team yellow with her so most of her stuff is neutral so we don't actually need to buy any clothes which is great...but I might have to buy a few bits anyway ;-) We got a few bits from Sainsbury's yesterday using their double nectar points offer, so got nappies, wipes and a few bits for DD and just used our points so didn't cost us anything. Got a few bits done around the house today too. Don't know if I'm 'nesting' or if it's just that I've got so much more energy than usual because DD has actually slept through the past few nights (she's usually pretty terrible at night), just hope it continues!

Anyway, I'll stop wittering on...! X

Welcome over Nomad!

I'm feeling big too, and some of the kicks are getting quite painful!

Furniture ordered and assembled last week, here's part pic of the cot bed. Our crib is due tomorrow woop!!

Just love your nursery Karen! It looks so girly and fresh.

Nomad, great to see you, tri 2 suddenly got dull didn't it?!

Buggy, how is your DD doing now?

Sorry to bring the tone of this thread down again ladies but, is anyone still having sex? We hadn't BD since our BFP as I didn't want to in tri 1 and DH wasn't keen in tri 2 as he was freaked out by a baby being in there etc. Anyway, I was very brave yesterday and wafted some beard trimmers down there  which seemed to make things much more attractive to DH (how embarrassing :oooo:). We did manage to dtd, just! I'm not sure what I thought I was missing, I couldn't get comfortable at all! Needless to say I won't be doing that again for a while!! I know some couples are active right through pregnancy and I have no idea how they do it (literally) x
