***July 2019 Mummies***

Had my whooping cough jab today, I had to check she'd actually done it as I didn't feel a thing. (I hate needles)
To say I didn't feel it Iv got a blooming sore arm haha

I keep meaning to make my appointment to get this! I didn't bother with flu jab, but whooping cough one is for baby so I want to get it.

I’m still not feeling proper movements and it’s so frustrating!! I feel little bubbles but that’s all really. I wonder if it’s bevause I am so fat

My placenta is anterior so I presume it will take awhile to feel movement.

We went to the baby show today in Manchester and got our isofix base & play gym. Our list to buy now is mainly toiletries so I’m happy. Just have to finish paying for the pram and then we are done. Glad I could be done so early because MAT leave is definitely going to take its toll on my bank balance!

Hello,
How is everyone getting on?
I have my first growth scan and consultant appt tomorrow and I'm so excited to see an estimated weight. See who's bigger etc.
My bump has gone through the biggest growth spurt in the last 2 weeks. I have people commenting on the size of it which I am struggling to know how to respond as it can be quite hurtful.
I'm not sure why people think that just because you are pregnant they can comment on your size!
But hey ho. Big bump = growing baby!

Is anyone going for a 3d/4d scan?

I really want a 4D scan but hubby is dead against it because he thinks they make babies look like little aliens

My husband says the same. We had 4d for free with my other 2 but not this one.
Iv got my growth scan in 2 weeks hoping theyl let me take my eldest in with me. She's a sensible kid so will sit nicely, but I know they don't like kids in the room.

We had a peek in 4D at our gender scan and it was amazing. I really want it and I’m working on him

I don't think I'll get a 4d scan even though my husband wants one, I think they look like aliens as well!

We just got back from 4 days in London last night, and I am exhausted! I'm glad I managed to enjoy myself while there, and managed to keep up with everyone, and up and down the stairs for the tube and staying up late etc... but I am really just looking forward to a cosy evening in with a cup of tea after work today, and an early night up to bed!

We have a 4d scan with my son and we loved it. I think we will have another one so my son can come and get a bit more involved.
My growth scan went really well. Both following their centile lines perfectly and we even got more scan pictures!!

Booked in with my new NHS Trust today. Still no scan date but got to hear the wriggler's heartbeat (they kept moving around as always!).

Slightly worried after I got weighed. I've gained a stone since my 8 week booking appointment. Kinda struggling with that as I spent so long (and was still in the middle of) dieting when I fell pregnant. I'm hoping I don't gain too much more!

Now impatiently waiting for 20 week scan letter to arrive!

Try not to worry so much about weight (I need to tell myself that too...), I've gained over a stone and a half since my pre-pregnancy weight already.

I was reading an article yesterday about how the weight gain isn't usually consistent throughout pregnancy. Apparently it's more normal to have a sudden jump in weight gain during second trimester, and slow down or plateau in the third. That's what I'm hoping will happen anyway as I've put on a ridiculous amount already! Also, most of the second trimester weight gain is apparently water weight which we will lose quickly after the baby is born hopefully!

So I think I’m feeling baby. It feels like something rolling over in my belly...possibly could be wind

This is my first pregnancy and I'm nearly 23 weeks. I am sometimes seeing bumps appearing in my belly when baby moves around now. Mainly my belly feels like a popcorn machine. At 14 weeks I had these little buzzing vibration feelings that turned into flutters around 16 or 17 weeks. Now it is tap tap tap, pop pop pop and the occasional massive kick! Had a few swirls which are weird cos your belly goes tighter in one bit and then u feel baby turn around. Lovely even if a bit creepy haha

I saw my belly with like a wave underneath the skin yesterday, guessing someone was turning - it was weird! Kicks are a bit stronger now too although I can't tell who is kicking me and you can see the jump from outside as well sometimes. Hubby has felt a few kicks which he loves.

Been off with spd pain this week so resting a lot and it has improved hugely. I did a bit of tidying a couple of days ago and the pain came back with a vengeance so I think I over did it. Just wanting to get the house in order sooner rather than later. We've been given tons of stuff, literally tons! So many clothes, blankets, bathing stuff, next to me crib, plus breast pump (what a contraption that looks like) and we've got a couple of cots coming too. Literally having to chuck so much stuff out to make way for the baby stuff! And having to get someone in to decorate as I'm too tired and dh is so busy at work.wish I could just open my eyes and it all be done! Can't really afford it but we will have to.

Best thing this week is I had 4 keepsake bears made. Sent off two of my mums jumpers that I kept to a lady who makes them. She sent them back this week and I honestly cried my eyes out. They are beautiful. So one for each of my girls when they come and one each for my niece and nephew to remember grandma. I'm going to send some more material and get one for me otherwise I can't stand to give them away, lol. They are lush ❤️

Sorry you've been in pain. I find if I do too much all my lower back just gives way. Or if I walk round the shops too long it does it as well. So annoying. We are literally just about to get rid of even more rubbish. Like you, we are trying to get rid of as much as possible. Being ruthless! Need to decorate the nursery in a couple of weeks so it's important to get any old tut out of the house now!

My movements have ramped up too and my belly looks contorted from the outside. No idea who is doing what though!
Such a beautiful idea with your mums clothes!! What a special gift for your girls.
I have given up trying to get house jobs done myself as painting the downstairs toilet crippled me.
The house we bought is pretty immaculate but I want our own stamp on it so have the decorators coming in April to repaint the whole house.
We have just bought a next to me crib! Just waiting for our new bed to arrive so we can try it up! When is your first growth scan?

Movements for me have been getting a lot stronger recently, and I can actually see kicks from the outside now! Managed to even capture a big kick on video too, although my husband is pretty creeped out by it!

I can feel baby a lot more now and where he is, which is nice. But I've not been enjoying him pressing down on my bladder, especially in the middle of the night and making me have to get up! I never used to be one to wake up to go to the bathroom at night at all, recently I've been getting up once or twice a night...

I still haven't actually had the courage to buy anything yet... but I probably should start soon with only 3 and a half months to go. I don't know why I still feel like it's ages away and too early to be buying.

My friend gave birth at 36 weeks so was glad she had bought stuff in time. Best to be prepared to an extent!

We’re pretty much completely ready. Furniture and pram etc have been ordered to be delivered in June. With my diabetes I wanted to be prepared for anything just in case he decides he must make an early entrance!

One of my friends just gave birth at 33 weeks! So I really should learn from her experience and get a move on.. I have the day off tomorrow and going into Belfast for some shopping, so will hopefully get the ball rolling then!

Whooping cough jab today and then got my 20 week scan (I'm now 22 +3) this afternoon! I called screening today after waiting a week from booking in. Glad I did as they had nothing planned for me (despite it being in my notes I needed a scan ASAP!). They gave me a rushed emergency appointment as after 23 weeks the scans not as accurate. Excited to check little squidge is healthy and to find out the sex. Knowing my luck they'll have their legs crossed! :rotfl:
