I'm a little chunky. (managed to be classed as overweight by the time I was pregnant from morbidly obese a year prior.) On my 12 week scan report lots of things say visible limited. They didn't give a reason but it was because the baby was crazy active. My pictures aren't overly clear because the baby was so jumpy.
The least experienced of the two sonographers in the room got grumpy at me for bursting out laughing. I couldn't help it though as they would line up to picture the heart ect and my little squidge would buck itself in the air over and over again. Luckily the other one in the room could see the funny side of it. My scan took a good hour and they were close to doing an internal one because the baby was just so active.
I think a combination of them being two guys who were research fellows and the fact it's a crazy overstretched hospital compared to many other trusts played a role in the grumpy guys attitude too. Sadly many NHS workers are so overstretched it must be hard to enjoy what they do anymore.
