*July 2018 Mummies*

Yeah, my dates I'm due on the 2nd July. So would be 35+1 but am 34+3. So am expecting baby to arrive around the 18th which would be same as dd by my own date. It's fathers day on the 17th, how cute would that be! I'd be 37 on my dads bday so that would be nice if he came then to. As long as i would be 37 by my dates Im happy for him to come lol.
I saw the lady measure the head an I knew it was huge from pic but nothing like that. DD had a large head on scans but not that bad, her tummy was larger though, of the scales. His tummy is at the top end apparently. He's in the middle of 50th and 90th centile

Are they going to induce you early if he is not born at 37 weeks? Or will they let you go to full term? x

ATM they're letting me go to full term.. But i have consultant on Monday to discuss everything, I think its quite worrying if they let me go full term, because the tearing is what made me bleed out last time, so his head being so big omg I don't even wanna know what he's going to do to my lady bits :(

A chunk PB! What weight was your DD when she was born? Glad he's moving more for you now.

that does sound like you'll have a big baby PB, good luck haha. although I guess if he comes nearer 37 weeks he'll just be average

feel like I've loads to catch up on but I've forgotten already

husband and I were nervous baby was going to come yesterday. I got up with DD at 630 and in between then and 8 when I woke husband up I had 11BH, big ones. they kept coming all morning. between 10 and 11 I had horrendous diarrhea and the BH were constant. ideas adament I was still going to the county show so did but by the time we got there husband was super worried about me. I knew deep down it wasn't labour but had constant BH until 2ish. after that they calmed down but I'm still getting a lot of them. pretty sure baby is still breech. still managed a lovely day out with DD she loves agricultural shows

36+1 today and hoping baby stays put for 2 more weeks at least

I would ring up triage Shep, just make sure it isn't the real thing 36+1 is very close to a term baby!! If your having them that strong I don't think she is waiting around even if it isn't labour... Ooooooo how exciting. Could have the first July thread baby next week :o

Dd was 8lbs 7oz. She would have been 10+lbs if i went full term though because I had uncontrolled GD.

Check everyone with BH contractions. These babies are right round the corner! Eek! Maybe worth a phone call to triage Shep.

Shep, my bh started to change about 3 weeks ago I think. I went to ask as was in thr hospital getting bloods done. I am almost in a bh 50% of the time and super string as well. Midwife just said I'm unlucky and only to worry if I get leaking fluids, mucus plug pain or bleeding. I swear, they can go on for up to 3 hours at a time. Really fucking annoying. Have got used to it now apart from the frustration of trying to wipe after a wee when in the middle of one, lol.

PB. I'm right with you with a chunky baby. It's why I had to go for the gtt today. Measured 37 weeks average when I was 34+1 last Thursday. So, at 34+1, weight of baby was 6lbs 4oz. Every midwife and nurse this morning thought I was 38/39 weeks by my size, lol. Luckily, already being c section it makes no difference but for the fact that they keep telling me to watch for early labour signs and I have a sticker attached to my notes that birth is to be c section only, lol.

Got to be honest, baby feels fucking huge. One of the pin holes from bloods this morning has bruised because through a doubled over pillow it kicked so fucking hard nurse jumped, hahaa.

Maybe you wil go early with this one...how exciting. Dan was 8lb15 at 3 weeks early and his dad was 10lb 2 at 39 weeks. My dad was 9lb at 39 weeks. We'll see I guess...I don't have the worry of tearing so size isn't worrying to me xx

Wow sounds exciting ladies. I've been signed off from work, yay, didn't realise how much I was holding my breath, and I think in the next day or so I'll feel totally more relaxed. Only downer was the the doctor over the phone sounded suspicious and as though I was making it all up, didn't want to give me a sick note to begin with but Sibelius changed his mind when he realised I was finishing next Friday anyway. But it made my guilt even worse. :( Never mind, need to put that behind me now.

So now I have a long wait ahead of me. Only been getting BH very rarely when I've been pushing my body too hard and then my uterus tenses up into a hard ball until I relax. However, a new development the last few days is what I can only guess is my baby hiccuping. This constant, rhythmic jerking that's quite gentle but very noticeable. In the middle of the night last night and then today. It's cute if that's what it is.

Had my midwife appointment today. She measured me (even though last midwife said they wouldn't measure me cuz I'd probably come out large and unreliable cuz of my weight). This one did (seeing different people every time... And I'm measuring 31 weeks at 31 +6. So can't complain. Baby's still head down in my pelvis. I'm relieved.

My sister's due 30th June and freaking out cuz at get growth scan a week ago, baby was already estimated 6.5lbs (at 34 weeks) and measuring 2 wks ahead. She's terrified! I don't know what to think cuz my sister's slim and I'm not so it kinda seems the wrong way around but I'm not complaining! Hopefully she'll just deliver a bit earlier...
Can't wait to read about some of these babies arriving soon!

So thinking positive today helped it seems I can claim off work for hitting the post in my car which has been a huge relief!!

Just had an amazing shower after a long day at work until I look down and see the dreaded swollen ankles !! Have said the past few days my body’s aching and telling me it’s time to rest so I’m taking this as a sign of I will be resting from now on!! (They are so unattractive ha ha)

I'm not worrying too much about the size of baby and nor should your sister...I think the guestimations can be out by up to 2lbs. With me it's been based on the measurements, some being 4 weeks ahead and those are scan measurements not fundal height.

I'm so glad you've been signed off work and please don't feel guilty. You could not carry on as you were. X

Janeyjan I'm so pleased for you to be signed off work, you will notice such a difference! And I promise the feeling guilty will wear off.

GG thank god you're not giving birth vaginally lol, you got a lovely chunky baby coming your way :) I love big babies with their little rolls everywhere lol.

So I'm not panicking about my own symptoms, but since OH has got home today he's been running round in a panic getting the bedroom rearranged, moses basket set up and getting the car seat in the car. I asked him why the panic and he said he is convinced baby is coming really soon. Haha okay mate carry on!

Janey, great news! You can put your feet up now and get as much rest as possible before baby comes x

Jem, let him hahaha. Maybe push some baby clothes for wash his direction too :D x

Dear heartburn,

Fuck off and die.

Yours hatefully,

Cheryl.

Midwife today, seeing social care midwife this morning about breast feeding and after care then regular midwife this afternoon andother busy day a head.

Jan great news. Hopefully can get some much needed rest and try and help your back.

Lmao jem, he's probably had one of those realisation thoughts and now gone mad. Me and hubby are pretty relaxed, it my mom going crazy heh.

GG, I'm there with you. Even eating just a sandwich for dinner last night gave me painful heartburn. Milk is meant to help :)

Well, something has biten my arse cheek.. Literally! Haha I cant sit down properly, it's so sore, the bite is massive, that's the last time i sit near the flower bed FFS.
Nightmares have decided to make an appearance to. All night constantly waking up ughhh

Yay Janey, so glad you got signed off. Now it's time to relax before baby arrives.

Sorry you're suffering with heartburn GG. Not sure if you've said before you're taking anything for it but I found ranitidine really helped me when I had heartburn in trimester 2.

I'm still having nosebleeds. They seem to come at the most annoying times. Yesterday it was when I decided I was going to bed as I was shattered but ended up awake for another half an hour trying to stop it. I keep telling myself the finish line is in sight but starting to feel like these last few weeks are dragging.

It seems like the last few weeks are not going to be easy for anyone...

I am getting a bit nervous about starting maternity leave on Wednesday. I may no longer be going to work but I will be left alone with a bouncy, never stopping 2.5 year old!! OH starts full time on Wednesday and for him being a chef it means he leaves the house around 9am and we don't see him again until after 10pm! He will have 2 days off and one evening off but it is still a lot of time when I am home alone with DD and soon also with a baby. I am a bit worried how I may cope! x

Happy 35 weeks Shan. Shit...4 weeks today we'll be meeting baby!!! :)

KH, yeah, that bad. Ended up trying to sleep all propped up but was still getting acid and sick in my throat and having to swallow it back down. Burned like hell.

PB, I'm sorry the nightmares are back. I've luckily only had a few. Milk does help but really short term and at night, kind of makes me feel sick.

Amy, good luck with midwife this afternoon.

Mala, I think I do have some ranitidine here actually so might try for night time. Thank you. Your nosebleeds probably won't go until baby is here now and the stormy weather we're due isn't going to help. I feel so sorry for you as they are such a pain in the arse.

KH, you will absolutely cope. You'll just find a new "normal" for yourself. My mum was alone for anything from two weeks to three months at a time with my dad only getting a weekend or the odd week at home between business trips. Lived an hour away from family and didn't drive, so was totally isolated. You just manage because there's no other option.

We have the valuer here today for the big house. As soon as he's gone, we can start getting it sorted. So exciting.
