*July 2018 Mummies*

Oh Jem hope all carries on being ok.

Went to midwife today and Jesus feels like she’s bruised my stomach and went to take bloods and failed so a trip to the hospital to get bloods done tomorrow!!!!!

She seems to think baby will be here in next 2 weeks but I’m not counting on what she says, I could sit and cry with how my stomach now feels.

His heart rate was all over the place mainly around 143 but dropping to 120 at times x

That's good Jem that you could go home and he is OK x

Shan we got a cream without asking but I am also washing her eyes with some herbal tea that is meant to be helping. My eyes feel a bit funny today so I fully expect to wake up with it tomorrow!!!

Gaaah I feel like a mess. It's 35 fucking degrees and my feet have ballooned in the heat. Anything I can do to help the swelling? I can't exactly lie down during the day as I'm working. Roll on maternity leave and baby arriving.

Mala just getting off your feet I think hun, and getting them up when you're home. Not really helpful for work. Sorry it's so hot oh my that's crazy temperatures for 3rd tri. Thankfully it's cooled here this week, I hope you get a break from the heat soon xx

Jem if you're not happy with that give them a phone. Theyve sent you home they must be happy enough. 143 is great. Baby's was down to 135, and 130 at my last 2 appointments, midwife said seeing the baseline be from 120 is fine. Can be so unnerving seeing that number change so much! Fx the rest of the night is uneventful for you xx

Don't we always get it all though  It's a hard one not to get especially with how much they touch, cuddle and kiss us, then touching their faces. Definitely get something for yourself if you do, I swear pregnancy makes anything I get 100x worse. I hope dds clears asap xx

Jem, here are mine from my last reduced movement monitoring. You can see a period with zero movement/spikes and instances where baby went down to 101bpm and 110/115.

You absolutely did the right thing going in and they've done the right thing sending you home to self monitor but try not to worry too much and just go straight back in if you're not happy. I had gone from 11am one day to 7am the next day before I really felt baby...I think sometimes they may just get comfy and chill out a big too long. Important thing is to keep getting checked when you noticed movement has dropped off.

Jem, they wouldn't send you home if they was worried, but if your worried or just have a bad feeling go in and get checked x

Happy 37 weeks shan and GG.

My baby is a week old!! How fast has that gone. He doesn't have mouth thrush but some sort of cyst type thing need to keep an eye on it. He only lost 1.5% body weight so they were pleased with him. Still trying to find a routine.. Bought an electric pump today hoping be easier on night times.
Muscles around my hips and pelvis are still super sore, can't walk for long, think thats caused by the spd and things going back.

Hope everyone's OK, it's hard to keep up now, don't get much time to come on xx

PB glad to hear Lucas is doing well! Hardly lost any weight which is amazing. I hope the cyst absorbs soon too. I don't blame you for not having time to catch up. Hopefully after more babies are here we can open a Facebook secret group, that should make catching up way easier and let's be honest we will definitely not have time to post so much haha x

No I'm not worried. I'm glad I went in, kind of wish they gave me a reason for his heart rate but just one of those things I guess. If I'm still not happy I'll go back in but I have felt him a few times since. She said to me she knows it's a long way for me to the hospital but it is really important I go back in. I'm really really happy with the care I got today and they were so lovely x

PB glad to hear lucas is doing well :)

Mala wish I had some tips about swollen feet but tbh I can't do a thing to help mine! X

Sorry Jem, that couldn't have been fun to go through today. Glad he's picked up though and hopefully doesn't give you any more scares!
Sounds like everyone's having difficulty sleeping. It is warm and I'm feeling the need to drink a lot more than usual and not actually peeing as much as I should be.

Went out with a friend today- out in nature for 4 hours and I felt wasted at the end of it. It's getting to be hard work dragging my body around at this stage. Let's get these babies out!

PB can't believe Lucas is already a week old. 1.5% is amazing, especially for his size and being a little early, well done. Glad you're both doing well, hopefully your hips don't take too long to settle down. Hope dd doing well and getting used to sharing you! Xx

I'm glad they've been so thorough with you JemRose and glad baby is okay

PB you must have a good little eater there that's great he's doing so well

Argh I can't remember what else I was going to reply to

Malagueta what do you do work wise? If you're at a desk I'd be sitting my feet in some cold water or using migrane strips on them

Lovely day with dd today in the sunshine. Tired now, I've taken my omeprazole but made a delicious curry tonight and think I may suffer for it tonight

Sorry to hear people have been struggling to sleep! It’s been really warm hasn’t it... the acid reflux sounds tough GG, hope you are seeing the back of it soon..

Jem good to hear the positive outcome of your visit to the hospital, and good you felt you were well looked after.
I feel very lucky on the symptoms front. The most I’ve had is back pain and recently swollen fingers, I think that’s because of the heat in some part! I’ve got 7 days left at work and I’m definitely ready to finish!

Would be very happy if she arrived in week 38 but knowing my luck I’ll go way over!

37 weeks tomorrow and I will admit I am freaking out a little about labour. I was induced with DD so I really wonder if I start naturally this time and when that may happen / how it is going to feel like. I think about it everyday, several times a day even! Anybody else obsessing?

Also not related to pregnancy but I got a new phone and that makes me very happy. Had to share this lol xx

Yes! Me. I'm absolutely obsessing and it makes me feel ridiculous. I've done it before for goodness sake. But I'm worried about another tear mostly

Also found out today my pool isn't available anymore and can't find another in time. So won't be getting my homebirth. Gutted and I feel like I have to replan everything. Freaking out a little about my labour being quicker than last time, now I'm going to the hospital. With Ivy my total labour was 6 hours, 2hours pushing. If only we could know exactly when it will happen! xx

OH Shan that sucks about the homebirth being unavailable now. What a shitty thing to find out this close to due date. :(

I've taken another ranitidine an hour ago so fingers crossed I get some decent sleep in between bathroom trips tonight.

All baby laundry done, ironed and put away or added to hospital bag. Dan slightly freaked out watching me do it all and then got ridiculously excited bless him. He also found a really nice nursery set of cot bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers for £100 So really hoping they're available still for him to collect tomorrow.

I have played with our £10 tommee yippee perfect prep machine tonight and I love it. Tried it with a few different make bottles, all work perfectly. It's so easy and we used our meat thermometers to test the final temp and it's bang on perfect every time. Ordered new filters for it and the tray which has a little piece missing off one catch so it doesn't quite sit straight...Dan went on their Facebook page to ask where to buy a replacement and they messaged him to say, "fear not, send us your address and we'll hook you up". Amazing.

Jem, I'm so glad you were happy with the care received today. Hopefully that will help you when you think about labour and being in hospital...sounds like they are worlds apart from your shitty midwife.

PB, a week old already. That's crazy, but it sounds like Lucas is doing brilliantly.

That's a shame about the homebirth Shanivy, I hope you're not too disappointed

Hope your reflux settled GG and you got some sleep. Same for everyone who was struggling hope you slept better last night

I had a good sleep but husband got up at 430 and the strong winds here meant I haven't got back to sleep.

Has everyone got there name choices locked in? I picked mine ages ago but had a second choice still hovering around but I'm definitely sorted now.

DD has nursery this morning so I'm going to make my lactation cookies and freeze them and give the house a tidy. My next to me crib is currently full of my washing. It's so windy here I don't think I'll have a walk today.

Anyone getting their babies baptised? We will be, but I've been lying here for however long thinking about how I can't actually be bothered to this time... every time we have some sort of celebration my mum gets huffed and upset as husband has a huge family (who I love) and we don't and she gets all miffed that it's "all about them" and will complain for weeks on end. Even if I say well tough there's nothing I can do and no point in mentioning it she'll still moan. She begged me not to invite his cousins to our wedding as "it would look bad that there's 5 tables of his family and 1 of ours" when actually it's not anyone's fault there's more of them. Urgh sorry to moan and rant, a christening is very important to me but I'm just anticipating so much earache...the joys of being awake so early with my own thoughts haha

Oh Shan so sorry about the pool :( You could still use one in maternity unit if available right? x

GG did you sleep better?
Perfect prep machine is amazing but you will end up wasting a lot of formula first month as it makes a min of what 30ml? Baby won't drink that much for a while. And wow re the price of furniture, hope Dan gets it today! Oh and well done on organising baby clothes.

Shep how about not inviting your mum to babtism lol? Just ignore her, she is being unreasonable! We will babtise DD2 just like we did DD1. My family lives abroad so we will have my mum only and maybe one of my aunts at the party. The rest is hubby's family and nobody of mine ever complained.

What the hell are lactation cookies?! Haha

Oh yeah... I have conjunctivitis now... DDs eyes are looking much better so happy about that x
