Well no heartbeat today. A bit gutted. OH came and sat outside just incase and it didn't get done and with all the other stuff I forgot.
I met my other midwife today and she's lovely. She's from Belfast too so that was weird. Literally knew all the same places I did lol. She's the one into the homebirths so we discussed it a bit today. I'm so tempted with the pool at home seriously. She doesn't think I'll move from the green pathway so wants to come out when I'm a bit further on to go through it all and see what I think
BP was good. She's not concerned about my weight at all. Which is good because they were the two things I was worried about. But said my sugars in the last bloods were a bit high for my weight so she wants me to do the gtt on 6 Feb I think:/
Also got booked in for whooping cough for wed? Anyone else?
Mentioned the tightening and she said it could be my uterus still moving out of my pelvis. And that it's probably nothing. But if it happens another 3 times today to phone triage and get checked because it's a bit too early for Braxton hicks? I don't know what to think about that
I nearly had a heart attack when you said no heartbeat! omg!! It took me a moment to realise that you meant they didn't let you listen to it! I'm surprised because they let us hear it at our 12 week scan thumping away! I am sure you will get to hear it soon tho hehe
I was just reading over the whooping cough and flu jab stuff last night. need to get those organised.
My mum has found a place in Belfast for a private scan at 16 weeks to find out gender! since my nhs 20 week scan is actually taking place at 22weeks due to no availability of appointments I think Im going to ring the place on monday and see what we can get!!
xxx
Oh ffs I didn't even notice how that looks. I'd edit it but I've been told stop editing my posts haha! We heard it at my private scan but I thought they'd do it at the 16 week appointment which apparently isn't done as standard anymore like it was with dd
I'm using babybond and theyre fab. The woman doing my last scan was the same woman from the hospital so I trust them. Plus they gave me a free 4d and 3d pics because baby was being awkward. They're doing a sale on prices for belfast just so you know hun. Ultrasound direct. Just my personal opinion but id go at 18 weeks instead of 16 Xx
I've literally just booked in with babybond, my gp practice recommended them for private scans! I literally booked in for Wed 7th then came on here and read this post.
We are so super excited to only wait a few weeks rather than til week 22 at the end of March but we will still have the NHS one which will be great and reassuring and hopefully they'll both say the same gender.
My friend had a private one and they said boy, the NHS said girl and then later on they got another one and they said boy haha they were like welll....which is it haha. They basically didn't know who to trust so had to wait until the baby was born to find out it was a boy! Haha xx
