I agree with the other ladies. The most important thing is you gave it a go and Noah got 5 days of breastmilk which will have given him a really good start, especially having the colostrum. The mw will probably try and convince you to stick with it, but at the end of the day it's your choice. A happy mommy means a happy baby so do what is right for you xx

Well I'm 39 weeks today Had lots of tightenings and period cramps again a couple of evenings ago, but they never fall into a pattern and they just fizzle out- so annoying !!! Can't see me being early and think I will be joining the rest of you overdue mommies soon. In the meantime I will keep bouncing on the ball and may even be tempted to dtd xx

I'm trying to be positive today but I'm really hot n grumpy. I'd planned to go to cinema today as Tuesdays are half price at my local one but because the film I wanted to see is in a special screen this week its not discounted. Mum offered to pay for me as a treat but its still the principal I don't like of paying more. I'm hot n stroppy n dont know how to shift my mood. I was also looking at sky box office movies but all thefilms iI fort I might like have been given rubbish reviews so again I feel wud b wasted money pointless ramble I suppose because most of my friends have gone off to the beach today or swimming etc (we work shifts and today wouldv been our set of four in a row off) but I can't travel so far n I feel fat n hot also hubby has friends coming over to build a shed this evening so its gunna mean being pleasent n feeding the three of them involving me cooking. Blergh. Rant over.

Where I live sweeps only get done at 41 weeks (if you agree to it) what time frame is normal in rhe uk?

First baby is usually 40+1 in the booklet I read but I could be wrong? It also depends on what else is going on with you bp etc I honestly think every mw is different x

Thanks girls.. Im cirrently laying topless with rock solid boobs leaking into a towel.. Off to drs tomorrow cos MW thinks i hve an onfected boob its red and inflammed.. Both nipples ate terrible!! And i could give katie price a run for her money!! The pain of these boobs!!! and i cant express cos itll keep producing milk. Guna take a while to dry up xx

aww dani, at least you tried and the first few days are the most important for babbas, i think im more nervous about breastfeeding then i am actual labour!! I know how hard it can be! Xxx

At what point do they do an internal exam? I'm 39+1 tommo and have an appointment with the consultant mw team just antenatal I never got my gp one at 38weeks so last time I was seen was 36 +4 I think. Just wondering what to expect from tommo obv will do urine n bp and measure bump but will they check cervix etc?

i had what u have listed above at 38 wk appt plus mw booked for a sweep at 40 + 2 as i requested it.
no checking of cervix was doine on me xx

sorry to hear about your boobies dani, it is the the first 3 days that is most importsant, sounds painful for you tho xxx

They may not do them anymore dani but my mil has mentioned a few times to me that she had tablets to dry her milk up so may be worth asking xxx

Morning ladies!! how we all doing today? so chuffed laura has had her little lady, wonder who will be next?!!!

I had a really good night last night, as I think you all know I have had diarrhoea since Monday night not constantly but 3-4 times a day and don't think I have been drinking enough so I felt rough!!!! So I decided at 7pm last night to give up and go to bed I had to get up for the normal wee stops but other than that I slept soooo well woke about 5am and was awake until about 6:30 and then fell asleep again until 9am

Going to have another day of relaxing today as think it really help my back yesterday but feel good enough to go into labour xxx

morning tilly, I've woken up this morning with a bunged up nose and a really sore throat, so that's just great!! How have i managed to get a cold in this weather haha! I think i would have slept forever but henrys movements woke me at about 9 lol!! Glad your feeling better! Lets hope these babies get a move on, doubt it haha xx

Glad u slept better tilly hope that that as u feel well enough today is the day! I'm just having a cup of rlt and getting ready to go to antenatal appointment. Such back ache and cramping this morning I genuinly thought ohhhhh maybe this is it from 5am thru to about 7.30 and was thinking wow here we go....then I had a very bad case of diarriahh and my pains cleared.. .gutted lol x
