** January 2020 Mummies **

Huge congrats @Zara96! She looks beautiful! I love her name btw!
You were lucky it went so fast after losing your plug, hope you had gotten some rest before the birth. Enjoy cuddling your little miss!

@vampysgirl I actually called the midwife about this since I was so curious and she says it can be indeed helpful for when you have had a complicated pregnancy in the past or when this one is. I went to check for a rental breast pump but they didn't have one in reserve. But the day I need it, I can just call and it will be available 2 hours later. I think I will wait until birth for the colustrum, but I do understand that you want to give the baby at least the best part of the breast milk in case it doesn't work out like last time. X

Thanks all I got to the hospital 5cm at 6.00am then i went 9cm straight away then had Kyria-May at 8.02 this morning. She weighs 6lbs 9pz. Xx
Congratulations! I'm so happy for you! She looks absolutely adorable <3 I hope you have an easy recovery and time to rest and enjoy this time!

I just had my bloody show! Or at least I think it was! I wear liners all day now and usually lose clear or whitish mucus but just a few moments ago it was light brown mucus. I'm not a 100% sure since I had an examination by the midwife on friday so could it still have been from that almost 3 days later?

I wouldn't think it would take 3 days... sounds promising. Fingers crossed lovely. You might be next

@Kitana So exciting! I had quite a lot of blood/mucus when I had the two attempted sweeps so no idea if anything got dislodged then but as nothing has happened since, I doubt it!

Feeling very strange that all my work colleagues are back at work tomorrow and I won’t be...

I think my hormones keep ramping up at night time, had a super hot face last night and had to find my chillow in the middle of the night (although definitely packing that in the hospital bag now!). I also keep thinking “this is it!” and nothing, wish I could just relax and enjoy these last few days!

Exciting, that sounds like a show! My midwife said in most cases it's brownish. Mine was like that too, not much either but I had more again today after doing the hip circles on the ball.

@Darielle - I feel the same way, about my colleagues going back to work tomorrow AND about the "oh, maybe this is it" weird pains and discomforts that then quickly pass...

My OH is also getting hopeful now and we dtd a few time today! Haven't gotten so much action since my 2nd trimester so that was nice but so far no effect on labor... We have a plan to go for a nice walk tomorrow morning, maybe that helps baby descend even further...

Can't be long now, just have to take it day by day!

Just lost my mucus plug I think was about the size of a £5 note and looked like snot with brown streaks all getting ready and exciting now! Xx
Oooh so exciting, these babies will all come on the same day lol!

I've had some contractions during the day but were all about an hour apart.
It kicked the OH in gear though, he's just finished installing the baby bed. I've finished putting the last laundry basket in the washkng machine. Sorted our DD's closet in outfits so the OH won't have to pick any clothes, he dresses her horribly lol
Aside from dinner, I think we're ready for this baby!x

@Kitana Sounds like it might all kick off for you tonight!

I’ve also been trying to do some last minute sorting out, moved the changing table into the main bedroom, done some laundry and some washing up, shopping and got some tinned goods in.

I wonder who will be next! :cheer:

The contractions have stopped for 4 hours already... ugh such a long waiting game!
But my DD will go to kindergarten for the first time tomorrow so now I'm hoping her little sister stays where she is so I can at least be there for her! I'm relieved she will go to school now, 3 weeks with a toddler in the winter whilst heavily pregnant isn't a ride in the park!

Am curious to see if anyone will give birth this night?!:cheer:

I think my little one is enjoying teasing me at the moment :) Had niggly back pain that started in the middle of the night and lasted a couple of hours before I got to sleep. I think he’s just going to give me a new symptom each night to keep me entertained :rotfl:

Are you back home now @Zara96 ?

Is it just me that comes here now every day to check if any more January babies made an appearance?
Haha no me too!
I just had some more spotting, pink this time and told the midwife; she told me to come over and will hook me up tl the monitor to see if all is still ok with the baby and whether I've dilated a bit more. Exciting!x
