***January 2017 mummies!*** 3rd Trimester

You guys are soooo close! Hope you get your natural birth experience, Kate. If not, I'm sure you won't care much once baby is here, but I know what you mean about wanting that excitement of it happening on its own.

Girls have slept like all day today, only waking every couple of hours to feed and then straight back to sleep. Dreading tonight as I bet they'll be reluctant to sleep!

Oh those texts got me sooo wound up!! I was so anxious about her movements and just wanted her here and everyone kept texting 'any sign' etc grrr! Xx

The worst thing is its people who have had babies fairly recently so they must know how annoying they are! I ignore some of them then get another asking if I'm in labour as they haven't heard from me haha!!

I ignored a few as well as I was getting so annoyed lol. They should know better seeing as they've had babies recently!! Xx

Hi Jan mums! Im a feb mum but my little girl was born yesterday so made it to January. She had become quiet over the past few weeks and a routine trace yesterday morning looked a bit bonkers so the doctor scheduled a semi emergency section that day. She was just under 3 weeks early but weighed a healthy 7lbs 7oz and is doing great....even did her first poo whilst they were weighing her.
Good luck to the January mums still waiting for their bundles, Im.a bit jealous as I was hoping to get to 39 weeks and I miss my bump already!!x

Congratulations Babybee!

I know what you mean CLF88 people were starting to get on my nerves too! As if I wasn't anxious enough, they were making me more anxious when they would keep asking me if anything happened yet. And after the false alarms I kept getting, I waited till T.J. was born before I told everyone. :) Those false alarms was making it worse! LOL

Due date!! Haven't been able to sleep the last few nights, truly am like a kid at Christmas!

Ahh congratulations babybee!! Hope you're all doing well.. Let us know when you have a name :)

Hahah CLF I second all of that.. especially Google taking a bashing. Oh the texts.. It's as if they're not going to find out unless they contact you directly, every day.. that made me laugh about you not responding and then them thinking you're in labour

Aw due date yesterday Kate! How you feeling?

We're good thanks papermoon. Taking Imogen to doctors this morning as she has a red and gunky eye..keeps oozing etc. I think it's just a blocked tear duct so been cleaning with cooled boiled water and also I still am leaking so I put some breast milk on which is meant to help.. but still want it looked st just in case.

How are you xx

Aww poor Imogen, could she have conjunctivitis? That's super contagious but not serious.

Anything Kate? Literally just days left now and you'll have your little one. Have they given you an induction date for if you don't go naturally?

I've been up for a little while with two unwell babies :( all three of us caught OH's cold and have been feeling a bit sorry for ourselves since yesterday. Poor things. xx

Oh poor Imogen :( Pops also had this and her eyes were almost glued shut for a few days! You're right it's probably her tear ducts but definitely get her checked..

Oh guys i'm fed up! Officially in the overdue club again  So thought it was it last night - nausea, loose stools, so fidgety, tightenings getting uncomfortable and then nothing! Midwife tomorrow Laura so i'm hoping to get an actual timeline in place as I find things much easier to deal with when there's a plan.. Not sure they'll do a sweep but i'm going to beg her to examine me just so I can see whether these BH have done anything productive at all..

Expecting to be a Feb Mummy now but I hope you guys don't mind if I just sit tight here?! Feels like I know you all now!

Oh and I hope you and the girls get better soon Laura! Nothing worse than them being poorly when they're that teeny :( I'm sure you know all the tricks but I found the calpol (or vicks?) plug in vaporisers really helpful and i'm fairly sure they're safe from 0...

How's Imogen's eye Millie? Arthur has a blocked tear duct so I have to bathe his eye most days, I think they say as they get bigger it will resolve ?

How are the girls Laura must be horrid when they are unwell this little ?

I'm dreading their injections next week as they are supposed to give them a fever :-(

Kate there's still time ;-) hopefully bubba will take you by surprise and come today or tomorrow. X

I hope they can give you a sweep, Kate. Is there any reason why they wouldn't? I'm not sure what the "criteria" is for a sweep.

Thanks, yeah, it's rubbish that they've got their first cold at only a month old. Bit annoyed with OH for not looking after himself a bit better.. he comes to bed far too late, and then of course gets very broken sleep when he does actually come to bed. We did give them 1.2ml of calpol last night, not sure if it helped. Health visitor coming this morning, joy of joys xxx

Ooooh the injections - forgot about those! I was definitely more upset than she was! Hope they don't suffer afterwards Sarah, you might be one of the lucky ones who gets no after effects!

I think they just don't like to bother with sweeps until you're a week or so over as generally if you haven't popped yet your cervix is probably closed and hard and a sweep would just aggravate things unnecessarily.. I'm not so bothered about that but I do really want to be examined as i'm so curious as to what's going on! I could get a sweep if I kicked up a fuss but if my cervix is still high and closed there really is no point :(

How are you today Thumbs?

The doctor said that it looks like clogged tear ducts but has done swab to check it's not conjunctivitis. Both are like it now bless her. Her original eye it was on is a little better than yesterday though!

I had a few sweeps Kate and ended up going from something like 1cm to 3cm xx

Health visitor was here for like an hour and a half! She just sat there.. she made me feel kind of bad by saying that she's seen a baby roll over at 11 days and most smile at 2 weeks. This is after I told her that mine haven't smiled or rolled over yet. They're not even 5 weeks old and they were early ffs. She also kept going on about breastfeeding, well, I'm expressing 75% of their milk and the rest formula. I was in tears last time she was here because they weren't latching and now I'm much happier expressing so I wish she'd just leave it! Gahh! She doesn't have children herself..

Sorry to moan. xxx

Oh no Laura that sounds horrible, I'm sorry :(
I didn't know babies even rolled by a month lol friends babies have seemed to roll at like 2 months!

And maybe the smiles shed seen so early were wind? Imogen does smiles when she has wind but she's not actually smiling lol!

Plus as you say your girls were early! I'm sure they're doing great.

Urgh. I spoke to my health visitor on the phone and she asked how feeding was going and I told her how I was doing formula now and she was like oh right..I see. Lol!! Midwife says I'm doing the right thing though so just gonna ignore if she says anything about expressing xx
