***January 2017 mummies!*** 3rd Trimester

Yikes, that sounds like a Charley horse! Those are the worst, I hate them.

Just googled Charley Horse! Ouch!

Charley horse is a popular colloquial term in Canada and the United States for painful involuntary spasms or cramps in the leg muscles, typically lasting anywhere from a few seconds to about a day. It is less likely to refer to a bruise on an arm or leg and a bruising of the quadriceps muscle of the anterior or lateral thigh, or contusion of the femur, that commonly results in a haematoma and sometimes several weeks of pain and disability.

LOL Blueflower its amazing how we use different words and terms for things. :D Yup, what you had happening in your leg is what we call a Charley horse. I don't know how it came to have that name though hahaha!:D

Nice bumps ladies! :D

Oh Rhiandell you poor thing that sounds so crazy. I hope you are still able to get away from there. But yay for the wedding! :D

Maybe it was named by a famous racehorse owner whose wife got bad cramps in pregnancy?! It did make me kick like a horse!! (I have a vivid imagination! ;) )

I am on a food happy high. I just had roast lamb and potatoes, parsnips, carrots, stuffing, red cabbage, cheesy leeks, yorkshire puddings, redcurrant and mint sauce and gravy mmmmm. So happy and full.

As today is the 30th, it marks the start of the 2 month countdown before my babies come out! I'll not be going past 30th December. I spent this morning sorting all their clothes out into colours, whites, lights etc so I can get cracking on washing them tomorrow I think. There's quite a bit to get through and I ended up donating 3 bags of clothes to charity shop because people have just given me too many hand-me-downs! They all said to get rid of anything I didn't want, so I won't get into trouble for it lol xxx

Hope you had a lovely wedding day Lisa ❤️❤️❤️

Ooo Laura proper count down!! I haven't attacked a few of the big bags of baby clothes I've been given, dreading it haha. I have had a very good day of nesting today. Tidied our bedroom to clear space for my nursing chair, then cleared our spare room so daddy squiggle can use it as his 'game room' and we can also finally cater for visitors. Tempted to swap the single bed in there for a sofa bed ...

Now absolutely shattered waiting for oh to come home from his second job. He's been so good to us recently and I get all emotional everytime her comes home as I'm so grateful.

Impatient for baby to be here now!! How is everyone today? Xxxxx

Hi ladies! Everything's good with me. Been pretty busy getting ready for T.J. We are almost there ladies. :D OH's birthday was yesterday so we were out most of the day. :) He's like a couple of months older than me. :)

Feeling a bit sorry for myself today ! Had a rough night last night felt so ill! not sure if twinnies have moved and were squashing a few organs but any way I tried to lay made me feel so sick & faint! Then had achy stomach more tummy than. Anymore if that makes sense. Then today I'm a little sleep depreived and emotional & just wish I could be at home, I really miss my house now and really want it to be finished as I just want to go back, have my own space & start getting ready for the babies & I know it's moving as fast as it can, just today feels like it's not moving fast enough & im just feeling all tearful! lol I'm sure I'll buck up in a bit, just can't really rant to hubby as he's under enough pressure with work & the house x

Oh sorry you're feeling blue, must be stressful not being at home. When is the work likely to finish?

When do you think you can go home? Totally understand feeling like you want your own space. Unfortunately we'll be living with my parents until at least the Spring, and it's frustrating not being able to have everything my way (hormones and I'm a bit OCD about decor but my mum is opposite and keeps trying to put stuff in baby room that doesn't go. Grrr). xxx

My in laws are amazing but it's not the same is it !
Thinking we could move back in 6ish weeks so it's going to be tight & im going to have to prepare for babies being here I think x
It's hard isn't it Laura ! Have babies got their own room at your mums ? X

Your home will be lovely when you go back and you'll really appreciate it. That's what I keep telling myself and OH when my mum drives us mad sometimes!

We have use of two fairly small double bedrooms, one is ground floor and one first floor. They don't want the babies sleeping in the first floor one as it's next to my parent's room. We can't physically fit all of us into one of the rooms to share. So babies have their own room on the ground floor, but I'm going to put a small futon or something in there on the floor for the first few months or something like that. Not ideal, but I am making their room lovely for them! xx

That's true Hun and it's all worth it isn't it x

That sounds like a good plan, would your parents not swap so you can have both first floor rooms ;-) futon sounds like a great idea and you can make it all lovely too which is nice x
In laws have spare room other than ours but it's got a double bed already set up in it so I'll have the Moses baskets in with me & I'll have to take over the other room with all our bits and bobs x

Can I be added to this thread please? :)
Haven't been on pf properly in nearly a year but due 26th Jan and team pink. Xx

Congrats Millielaura! Welcome.

Haha I wish my parents would give up their room so we could have the two. There's no chance though and I'd feel really cheeky! xxx

Ah Sarah i'm sorry hun :( Hope you feel better soon - it all gets on top of you sometimes. I completely understand you needing your own space, you're a saint, i'd go mad living with my in laws (makes me shudder just thinking about it!) We lived with my parents for a short while a couple of years ago and although it's not necessarily bad you're right it's just not the same.. Lucky you having a shiny new house to move back into though :)

Hope you had the most wonderful Wedding Day Lisa! Congratulations to you and your partner xx

Welcome Millielaura- i'm team pink too and a few days behind you (29th Jan)

Hope everyone else is well xx

Laura & Sarah, I don't know how you do it! I lived with the in laws about 2 years ago and they have a pretty big house but I still felt confined to the bedroom for personal space. I'm sure it will be worth it in the end though when you have a beautiful fresh house to go to and Laura you never know, mum & dad might see how mad it is babies beinjg on a different floor to you that they give you their room ;) I just couldn't imagine prepping for baby and having to deal with in laws or my parents every single day too haha.

Welcome Millie Laura, a day before me!

Right, worry wart is coming out again and i need some advice... I feel quite lightheaded this afternoon and the past hour i have been struggling to focus in my right eye, its like its glazed over and i feel the need to keep blinking it away but its not working... Is this a midwife phone call or a doctors phone call or a stfu worrying about nothing situation lol.

My anxiety calmed down in 2nd tri but it's creeping back up again and when I'm at work like I am now I struggle to control it where as at home I can focus on things like refolding baby clothes, or cleaning. :(

xxxxx
