***January 2017 mummies!*** 3rd Trimester

Yeah they never did say how Janet Jackson conceived them, I was wondering if she did. So yup, she might have used donor eggs. :)

I'm daunted enoOhh by that so can't imagine how you feel blue! Maybe start 'weaning' yourself off his help during the day?

Good idea! I have got him to show me how to use the bottle prep machine and steriliser so hope to be independent before he goes back. Just might take ages! Can get mum on lunch and nappy duties but not every day!

She might have been lucky like you but I doubt it! ;)

On my ball today lol officially 37 weeks! Got scan tomorrow to see how her growth and blood flow is doing and finalising induction etc. Had some more mucus plug yesterday..really hoping for a show lol want to beat induction as ideally want to avoid having to have the drip. Xx

How have movements been Millie? Will they still induce even if everything looks good? I'm not holding out for an early arrival - i'm getting all the niggles but really don't want to get my hopes up! xx

They've been ok. She was quiet on Monday so I was in again and they arranged monitoring for Tuesday where she was ok. She was active yesterday. Today not felt so much yet but if she picks up she should be fine.. some days she will have a silent day lol. She was okay this morning at like 4am though. Yeah I think so unless this growth scan is perfect and her movements are okay and I feel happy waiting. I think they like to be on the safe side as can't be 100% sure she is okay and going to be ok. I'm finding it hard to track her movements really. Especially if I don't sit and focus on them. I never know sort of when to make the call? Some days she can be non stop for about 9 hours constant movement. Some days she has a couple active times. Some days she has a few different active times. Some days she will do the odd kick every couple hours. Then some days silence the entire day and night. Very confusing lol xxx

Ahh bless you :( I agree it's very confusing, I find it really hard to track movements too and I am an anxious person by nature so that exacerbates things! I think you'll be much happier when she's out and you can see with your own eyes that she's perfect :) It is horrid having that constant niggle wondering if everything is ok in there.. Hope all goes ok for you both tomorrow, let us know xx

Yeah me too I get anxious easily as well, defo agree I'll find it easier when she is here and I can see how she is with my own eyes lol. It's horrible not being able to know 100% they are okay in there isn't it!
Got a call from hosp as they were calling with scan time for tomorrow but they can't fit it in till Saturday morning now so having it then and got to monitor movements until then. Xx

Sounds a worry Millie but they seem to be keeping an eye on you. Its very exciting that the January babies are on their way! Its our official due date tomorrow!

Health visit went well! Robert is now back to his birth weight of 6lb 8 & Jacob has gone up to 6lb 4, 3 ounces more than his birth weight!! All the extra feeding has paid off! She doesn't need to see us till they are 6 weeks old now! She was very nice and asked how I was too. :cheer:

Aw that's great about weights :). Glad your HV is nice too. I met mine the other day, she was lovely. My cat started chewing on her shoes though!! Was so embarrassed. Naughty kitty lol!!

Typing one handed. Blueflower I feel the same re feeds, I worry about oh going back to work as no one to hand babies to me etc. We sometimes tandem feed but it's tricky. It;s so exhausting feeding one at a time around the clock as they take a long time and I'm having to fit in pumping every few hours too. It's def taking a toll, although I love feeding them and the closeness. We are trying to gradually reduce formula top ups but it's tough.

How much sleep are people with babies born managing? H&H sleep about 3 hours at a time, but we aren't napping with them in the day time. I guess we manage 4 hours per 24 usually around pumping and whatever else. Actually I've no idea where the time goes, does anyone else feel like that? I forget to eat, but I don't really know what I'm doing all day but I seem to be on my feet all the time unless feeding.

Abi sorry to hear your little one has been in hospital again. How is he now?

Oh my goodness, I just heard the biggest rumbling fart ever from the moses basket !!!!

Ok I'm rambling and tired. I hope everyone is well. I'm reading all the updates and looking forward to the next babies. Sorry you're all in such discomfort, it's so tough at the end and I hope your babies all come sooner rather than later so you can enjoy them. I'm going to catch a nap now xxx

My midwife has told me to pump each boob 8 times a day ,... That's every 1.5 hours!!!! Is she actually off her rocker????? We have been discharged today to go home :D but his blood is fighting against him which is why they think his jaundice is coming back continuously. So we are being monitored hay community midwives and taking each day as it comes. Majorly stressing out!

We probably average the same amount of sleep tbh Laura! How we are still functioning I have no idea! Ideal if you can sleep when baby sleeps during the day but then who does the house work. Cleans the bottles, cooks the dinner etc??? :(

Millie I hope the scan goes well! You're so close < 3 xxxxxx

I think it's every 3 hours, Abi (day and night). Night important as more tends to come out then.. something about hormones levels. I've been doing it. It's a bit gruelling, but cut holes in your bra so you can go hands free and use an electric pump (if you decide to do it) with battery so you can still walk around and do things.

I don't know much about Jaundice, but they totally thought mine had it because their skin has a yellow hue. The midwife was a bit embarrassed when I pointed out my Chinese heritage :D

Wow so you pump every 3 hours day and night? That's gonna be interesting. I plan on breastfeeding too. :) How long does it take to pump each session? About a half an hour?

Wow you ladies with twins are like super mums!! I know women that constantly moan and they are only breastfeeding one! Hats off to you ladies!

Millie how you getting on? I had an unscheduled visit to the hospital yesterday i had an hour on wednesday night where i didnt feel like i needed the loo but i felt a bit moist in there so would go and sit in the loo and clear non smelling liquid would come out..but without the effort if you get my meaning i slept on it as i wasnt in pain but i hadnt drunk enough water to have clear urine and the next morning i woke up and my urine was norm so i rung in incase it was my waters..

They had a look and said they didnt think so my cervix is high and closed and started asking about baby so.i explained it is moving but not as often and they suddenly upgraded me back to high risk and gave me a stretch and sweep :-( gutted.. they want me to call in today and if movements havent gone back to normal they want to do a daily CTG

Hope all is okay Robbda
.That's good they are keeping a close eye on you :) how are movements now?

Imogens movements been ok. I spent all of yesterday on ball and dancing lol!! Feel exhausted today and also got a cold booo. Loads of pressure in my back and feels like I'm on a horrid period..no tightnings though just period pains. Not sure if that means something or nothing lol. Going for a meal tonight with friends..think I'm going to have to get taxi to just outside the place lol!!

How is everyone else?

Xxx
