***January 2017 mummies!*** 3rd Trimester

Same here blue! We are watching the BBC coverage in the hosp room and my OH has bought us a mini prosecco bottle to have at midnight! Baby is also due a feed at 12am which is the perfect excuse for a family cuddle. xxxxx

Yup, it's a new year! :) 2 more days to full term for me. I'm ready for T.J. to come now. :)

Eeeek not long!!!
So exciting isn't it. Can't believe we are so almost full term already :)

Anyone else's sleep awful? I get like 1 hour a day as a nap at a random time sometimes during the night but sometimes nothing at night and it just being in the day:(. Mostly because I get woken up by pains. I get them really strong and sore usually around every ten mins and then nothing comes of them after a few hours xxx

This is it girls!! Jan!!! EEEEEEKKK felt stupidly emotional last night 12 weeks from now last year i was told i couldnt have my own child as id hit prem menopause and yet there i was toasting the new year in with my OH with bean wriggling away... amazing what happens in a year...

Massive congratulations Laura..induction doesnt sound great.. think i may need to do some research

Abi sorry to hear your still in hospital i bet your chomping at the bit to get home.., guess on the flip side you can chill a bit?

Jess/millie... i had some funky things start boxing day.. saw the midwife thursday and she said she reckons i was in latent stage but its not consistent and sucks feel like she got.our hopes up..bean is only 2/5 palp so well engaged - im walking like i lost my horse! Took me 3 hours to walk half of lakeside yesterday - house of fraser to the food court and back..you start loosing the will to live on the way lol

ive been get backache, lightening crotch and very noticeable BH but the start about 5pm she said that they arent BH anymore at the stage but could.go on for a week which is confusing as everything i read said that latent is only 2-3 days?..im also getting waves of nausea, my bp has gone up from 120/60 to 130/80 and the swelling of my hands and feet has gone down..again she said thats another good sign.. the reflux has started again which i thought was not a sign of impending anything lol.. 7 days til EED and ive got from thinking it was gonna happen to wondering about if i will go over now and its just teasing me...have you had anymore twinges?? Xxxx

Oooh defo sounds like it could be something!
That's what I've been having but only 36+3 . I think it can go on weeks :(. But since you're closer to due date hopefully won't be much longer till it establishes for you!
I've had the pains all week but they seem to of gone today. Another 4 days till 37 weeks but then once I'm 37 weeks it would be nice to have her come seeing as I'll be induced 37+4 anyway. Xxx

What are your BH's like? I get my normal braxton hicks which I've had since 23 weeks but then I also get these other tightnings that build up and really hurt and feel it in my back and stomach and thighs xx

They start off like the belly just getting hard and uncomfortable and then same as you they hurt not a painful OMG hurt but enough that i got down from the dinning table and laid over my ball half way through dinner wednesday.. my back.has been killing me but i dunno if its the weight im carrying i can get 2 hand between my bra and the harder bit of my bump whereas thursday i could get one so bean has dropped again

I had sorry gals (TMI) diarreoah on tuesday and now struggle to go so textbooks say thats constipation isnt a sign
Im going to go for a walk later hopefully see if that helps x

Hello ladies! Poking my head in to say hi and good luck, I was due Christmas Day but will be having a January baby after all as it doesn't seem to want to join the festitivies and would rather stay inside where it's warm!

Hope everyone is well :-)

I've been getting the same thing Millie and Robbda! My back is still very sore, I have to sit down every 5 minutes when I walk. Wew! I keep waking up in the middle of the night. Last night before going to bed, from like around 6pm till 2 am I kept having regular Braxton Hicks coming every 10 minutes. Not painful, but enough to feel uncomfortable, it was tightening around my lower bump as well as higher. Last night I woke up coughing and threw up a little in my mouth twice! I felt nauseous when I got up to pee in the middle of the night. Now I just woke up an hour ago and everything has settled down. Still sore back but so far no Braxton Hicks. I feel some lightening crotch though. Oh and I keep alternating between diarrhea and constipation. So my body is getting ready. :)

Hi Madsticks welcome!

Hello strangers! I started off as a January mommy when I'd calculated my due date as 1st Jan but then scan put me at 29th Dec so I shifted over to the December group. Well surprise surprise he's not made an appearance yet! Hoping he isn't a whole 2 weeks late like his big brother was. X

Hi ladies, just had a quick read through everything I've missed! Abi, Robert is soo soo cute! Congratulations - you had a feeling he was going to be early for a few weeks now, you were right! How are things going with him now? Staying in the hospital is a right drag, you don't get much sleep do you, as someone seems to constantly come and wake you for observations the minute you try and rest.

Yeah OH has been doing everything really. I wasn't keeping any food or water down for a while after section, so I had to have a drip and catheter in which made it really hard to even hold babies and I just felt weak and barely able to actually look at them for the first few days.

We finally got home last night though! The girls are amazing, keeping us busy! Anyone else pumping? I was really struggling to get the milk out even though my boobs were really sore and hard, but as of an hour ago, I finally got 45ml as opposed to the usual abysmal dribble I manage. Turning up the pump setting helped :wall2

Back pain is still awful from carrying them, think I'm going to need physio or something as even just holding them hurts. It's very frustrating! Anyone else having the same issue?

Anyway, photos of Hazel and Heidi! They were going to be Isabel and Matilda, but did not suit at all :)

Thanks Laura!! We finally got home yesterday evening as his bilirubin levels dropped a lot luckily. We went to see my dad then charlies then home & I had a total meltdown. I felt awful but I'm still not really bonding with baby which makes me feel like the worst mother ever.

I love those names!!! Are you more mobile & able now? How is mum being? xxxxxxxx

Oh and yes I'm exclusive pumping as he just can't seem to stay awake on the boob. Managing about 100ml now each boobs but it's remembering To actually pump and finding the time I'm struggling with. And not to mention my sore nips! xxxxx

Oh the pictures didn't come up when I looked originally!!! How adorable are they! Xxxxx

Oh Laura they are absolutely gorgeous! Glad you're all home now.. Love that you went way off-piste with the names! I love what you chose.

Don't beat yourself up Abi I'm sure you're still getting over the massive shock of everything and the stress of being in hospital for so long. It doesn't always happen the way everyone describes, it's very natural to feel a bit distant from the baby. Be kind to yourself and give yourself time to adjust.. I certainly had some thoughts I wasn't proud of during Poppy's first few weeks, don't be afraid to open up to your midwife/health visitors as they've heard it all before! Sending you love as I know it feels horrible xxx
