***January 2017 mummies!*** 3rd Trimester

Owch, from your actual mum that is pretty brutal! I don't get why she can't even put on a bit of a fasle facade for you :( Must be hard for you. xxxxx

Oh Sarah they're beautiful! Just perfect little chaps.

It's definitely all happening for everyone on here! Seven weeks still to go for me and not finishing work until mid Jan. luckily a few days off for Christmas in between though.

Does anyone else have an incredibly sore patch at the top of the bump under boobs? Just in the middle, like a real stinging sensation? Is this just my skin stretching? Starting to feel very heavy now - not so good with all the stairs in the tube...

I don't have a sore patch but from time to time on my left leg only, below my knee, it feels like little bugs are crawling up and down my leg. Anyone else have that? It is a weird feeling. It isn't painful or uncomfortable, just weird feeling and distracting. And it's only on my left leg and always below my knee. It feels like tiny little ants crawling.

I get that but I have to move my legs lol you could have mild restless legs? Mine drives me crazy but iron tablets helped soo much xx

Oh okay thanks! Yeah the feeling stays for me till I touch my leg with my hand then it goes away for a while. I guess that could be like restless legs.

Ah thanks all, will keep an eye on it. It's so uncomfortable.

Sorry you're both having pants days girls :-(

I have a patch like that but just around my belly button. feels like it could rip open any second. Take it easy on that tube, have you got yourself one of those TFL baby on board badges? My life saver when we went down for a visit.

I've just had a little cry. Trying to organise some special Christmas presents for our parents, mainly mums! OH mum, my mum and also my step mum. So I've asked our siblings and dads what they think we should call them all to pop on these special personalized mugs from the baby. Well my mum and OH mum responses came back fine, but my step mum apparently just wants to be know as her name to the baby, because thats all i call her.... We haven't always had the best relationship but I don't get why she wouldn't want to be a grandma, nanna etc :( xxxxx

Never heard of those badges, what a good idea!
Well maybe that means you can decide what she will be called! You could put it then her name on the mug and then she will be stuck with it haha! Is she quite young? Some grandmothers don't want to be labelled as it makes them feel old! Or she could be Step-Grandma!

Sarah they are absolutely beautiful, you sound like you're getting on amazingly.

Last weekend baby-free for you Blue - you must be fit to burst with excitement..

My mum isn't young for a grandma. Feel a bit disappointed my parents have bought nothing for the babies at all and mum rolls her eyes everything anything arrives in the post for them. Today my Aunt sent some bits for them and it's like it really annoys her that her house is being taken over with their stuff. Although it's not, because everything is crammed into our room, you wouldn't know babies were on their way in the rest of the house. Feel like such an inconvenience when it was her that insisted we move in here and stay until Spring.

I vow to be a less difficult mother to mine! Famous last words? Haha xx

Blue what are you doing with your last baby free weekend? It dawned on us yesterday that it's ours too! We need to get something for them to sleep in! I think we'll go for a nice meal and just relax :) xx

Oh yes and for you Laura of course! I honestly don't know how you cope with your Mum, I know she's your Mum and i'm sure you love her to bits but she sounds like she's being truly awful to you. My Mum is a little dippy and can be very selfish (without meaning to be) but if she was actively disinterested in my children I would be mortified.. I hope she sees the error of her ways when your beautiful girls are here in the flesh. It'll be interesting to see how she behaves when you move out - perhaps she just enjoys being the martyr? She sounds like a very complex woman! Ps. Find it so funny how chatty we all are - compare the numbers of replies on all the group threads and we've almost doubled December's!

What about if you said to her next time she rolls her eyes "would you prefer it if we got our own place sooner rather than later?"

Having a nice lie in, had toast in bed, will get ready in a leisurely fashion, dad coming over with presents, DH doing final bits of shopping. I have dull things to do like filing and banking I won't have time for next week and I want to put a couple more posters up in case people have forgotten our cat is still missing. Also going through photos of her for a collage but that's ongoing. This evening we will go out for dinner for the last time as a couple haha! We will just drive somewhere as I can't walk into the village very easily now and DH is only having one drink just in case I go into labour! He had a works Christmas dinner last night and I told my sister his current one drink rule and she said don’t feel sorry for him, you haven't had a drink for 9 months!!

Sounds like a nice relaxing weekend is planned for you too, bar the paperworky bits. We've got some organising to do as well, I'd like everything to be where it's meant to be when we return from the hospital (whenever that is).

Ah yes my mum is quite complex! Never been able to figure her out. She definitely is excited, but I think she gets stressed and shows that by being seemingly disinterested and a bit mean. Just now, she grilled me about whether we have a date and then I told her and she seemed really excited, but her way of showing this was "that's a good date, not convenient for Christmas lunch though. Bloody hell! I'm not ready!" but she said it all with a smile. She's a funny one! xx

LOL Kate! I noticed that too! It's because December is where all the action is happening! And we got more babies arriving soon now. This is exciting.

Mum's eh? I had to tell mine again yesterday that DH will attempt to cook some sort of Christmas lunch just for the 2 of us and they could pop round in the afternoon but she said they would bring a starter! After lunch???? Maybe they are more concerned with routines and tradition?? Christmas won't be ruined by the arrival of our babies it will be even better!! She did admit that when her health visitor came round she had to tell my mum it was more important to bond with me than to have a clean floor haha!

I think I will just give her a name and she can deal with it haha. She is 46 so young in granny terms I suppose, maybe that's the just fear ?

Mothers ey, luckily my actual mum is very supportive and tbh has bought most of Squiggs stuff we needed so I am eternally grateful.

I've had my hair done today, gone more to my natural colour so it won't look awful if I can't get to the salon for months when baby arrives. Now going with mum to decorate the room we have hired for a family Xmas meal this evening as I'm not up to driving an hour to hers on Xmas day this year so we are going to Oh family instead. Quite excited but now need a good nap before the meal haha!

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend Xxxxx

Oh and we are massively chatty!!!! Some threads barely say a word other than hi.... Maybe we all have too much time on our hands hahaa xxxx

I definitely have had too much time on my hands with not working in so long! Driving me mad! I'll have a job and a half soon though lol xxx

Just thought I'd mention my colleague found a cat the other day took it to the vets and it was microchiped so they phoned the owner and it had been missing for nearly 4 months and actually lived 25miles away!!!! So I hope you have a similar success story!!

Have you seen the movie Homeward Bound? Aw man that movie would probably make us all weep with our hormones :brat:

Was your cat microchipped, Blue? xx

We are still hoping someone took her in and she can't get back. Yes she is microchipped so if she gets taken to the vet they will check. I heard that some people think cats are strays if they aren't wearing collars! She kept 'losing' hers and the last one was a pretty red reflective one with 'I am microchipped' on it but she had already slipped it by the afternoon the little minx.
