Was in hosp yesterday as the pain under rib/back got so so bad..been given Clexane and will have scan on Monday or Tues as they want to rule out a blood clot. Horrid scan it is too lol as breathe in stuff then lie under a claustraphobic thing then have some stuff in via IV line and do the same. Please keep fingers crossed for me it isn't one!

Lol I want to measure my bump now haha I haven't yet! Xx

Has anyone else not had any cravings lol? Sometimes theres something I reallyyyy fancy that I have to have and I have it but I've not had any cravings where I keep needing a certain food lol! I was looking forward to funny cravings and pigging out but I'm not sure I will get any now? Xx

Wishing you luck for that scan. I had the same last year it wasn't nice. Ask if you can hold the mask to your face yourself. It really freaked me out when he held the mask but when he let me do it it wasn't that bad at all. It doesn't feel as clustophobic as I first thought it would because my whole head wasn't covered and I had a blanket over me so i imagined the machine being a big warm duvet lol. (Maybe I'm just mad though lol) oh and my cravings are like yours really want something until I have to have it then I'm not fussed about it after a while lol.

Sounds awful Millie, hope you're ok.

I haven't had any major cravings, been trying to eat extra healthy food so haven't been getting too hungry. I think sometimes cravings are an excuse to pig out! Probably good you haven't had them! I do have chocolate or a pastry every afternoon but I did that before!!

I haven't had any cravings but has anyone else had their appetite kick into overdrive? I've been doing good the whole pregnancy and suddenly this month my appetite has kicked into overdrive! I wake up in the middle of the night needing to eat! I figure it's T.J. demanding more, gearing up for his debut into the world Or could be my body gearing up for labor? LOL

I hope you're okay Millie and that you don't have a blood clot.

Oh laura, I would feel the same as you tbh, I think the family are being a bit too low key about that!!

Millie Laura, sounds nasty, hope you and baby are ok though.

Lots of big babies being brewed here! Can't remembver if I mentioned squig is now est at 4.4lbs with a fat head now haha.

Cravings come and go with me, I still get a sharp need for vineagr based things like pickles and then I crave veg, mainly cucumber. xxxx

Mine was fine in the end. No clots but I did have an enlarged heart but that's a whole different story lol.
The room was effing freezing lol you do lie on your back but also have to tilt to each side they did one from above then the machine around you rotated to get different angles. The bed is weird it's like lying on a thin plank and it moves! It was a weird experience I remember staring at the name of the machine loads and thinking I'll never forget that word lol but I have!

Glad it was all ok Ery! Hoping mine will be too! They already did an ecg on me as my heart rate was 140 at one point and that was ok..I think its white coat syndrome when heart does that as after a bit of time there and OH being there it went down to 94..my lowest since being preg so they let me go home with Clexane instead.
The clexane stings so bad in my thigh where she said to do it. I know some people still do it in bump so I might switch. I had it earlier on in pregnancy and it didn't sting like this lol!

Got consultant appt tuesday morning for reduced movements so I'll get some regular monitoring sorted. If she keeps up like she is I wont be going much at all past term as its been twice a week she has quiet days atm . So could be just another 4 and a half weeks for me xxx

Yea my hb was arrhythmic tachycardic I kept adding in random odd beats. Varied between 90 and 180 occasionally higher but it was all OK eventually. The clexane can really hurt!. Just make sure you alternate legs/sides and don't itch or lie on it for a good hour after try to go longer if you can coz that makes it hurt more and bruise something rotten. I got a natural bruise resuction cream that worked wonders but I'm not sure if it's safe in pregnancy.

Oh I feel for you girls with the Clexane! I'm on Fragmin, but it's basically the same. I need to take it for six weeks and I hate it. It hurts so bad, some days I just want to stomp my feet and go "no! I'm not doing this anymore!". But I guess I just have to suck it up and persevere somehow lol.

I only tried my clexane in my thigh once and hated it! Was on it from beginning of treatment until 32 weeks, hubby did mine at the bottom of my bump and alternated sides x

Millielaura what kind of scan are they doing? I think it was start of Oct when I had an MRI scan for clots and it turned out fine thankfully but it's stressful. I had to have a shot of radioactive stuff but that was it and it was pretty straightforward otherwise. Wouldn't fancy lying on my back though anymore.

Everyone.. have you been stalking December's thread? Babies are popping out left and right, it's making me too excited! xxx

I think I'm going to switch to bump injections as thigh hurts so much lol!
It's a VQ scan I think it's called. Breathe in stuff and go under scanner and then have an IV line in and stuff put down that then go in. No I have tried lying down today to see and I can't lie flat it makes me so dizzy..I worry about blood flow to Imogen! I'll have to ask them tomorrow or Tues but I'll imagine theyl say a clot will be more dangerous for us both if not found. Think I'll be sent to triage after so I'll ask them to put me on monitor I think just to check she's ok.

Although it is looking like I def wont be going over as they like to induce around term if babies keep going quiet here and I have a feeling she will do. I hope not but I think she will. She isn't as active as usual today so I'll keep an eye on as know I'm in tomorrow or tues. I have been really anxious about this pain/clot situation and I think it s messing her movements up. If I get reallyy anxious she moves like mad! 4 weeks 4 days till term for me xx

How long will it take? My growth scans sometimes take 45 mins where I'm lying on my back and it's really uncomfy, but the babies have been fine in terms of blood supply. xx

I'm not sure on time but my scans have been ok as theres been either pillows or it's been raised slightly bit this may be totally flat on back xxx

I think I had a small pillow and it was like 45 mind or felt like it. And yes it is a vq scan x

Those that have been in for reduced movements, were you happy with the out come when they said the machine says its ok even though you hadn't felt baby and certainly not felt baby go back to normal?

I went in today for monitoring, wasn't happy when we were sent away after 10 mins being told the machine says all ok even though his heart rate was lower this time and i couldn't feel his few movements he did... They have told me to go straight back if it still isn't right which i don't think it is, hes being a little slug and barely felt a thing since yesterday which is so unlike him, tried all the tricks and just getting more worried... But feel like the hosp just fob me off again and again... xxxxx

The first time I went in she was doing movements I couldn't feel at all and I didn't feel a single thing but as they heard them they were happy and said it was her position. Also their heart rate is usually a little lower if they aren't moving loads, as long as his heart rate went up a little on the movements he did and wasn't a flat line? Did you take a pic of trace? If you're still worried I'd call tonight say you're worried and can you come on again. After 2nd time for us they refer for scan..how many times have you been in? Xxx
