Lol I agree with your mum. Only time I had braxton hicks was on a long car journey. I thought it was labour. I was lucky I only had a few contractions not in a bath/ birthing pool... but yea.... there's a difference lol.

But in water with gas and air they weren't that bad. Some even erm bordered on nice.

Bordered on nice?! You must be mad! I didn't have a water birth though, would love one this time.. I had this weird foot ritual when I got a contraction, i'd furiously rub my foot up and down the bed just as a distraction/something to do other than flailing about screaming! I must have looked completely bonkers... Glad things are settling Laura hope you have a lovely scan today..

I'll probably end up doing something like that, I have to hum during blood tests to distract me! I am going to request to start off in the pool but will have to come out for the births so we can be monitored properly.

Took another pic of me in pyjamas with my tummy out, looks too huge to post on this thread but it's in my journal haha!

I have bump envy of everyone elses bumps lol. Mine doesn't seem to go out very much just wide lol! I feel big more width ways than straight out! Xx

I've only had them a couple of times and hated them! Like severe cramps, I could hardly speak. Also had severe muscle pain when twisting. If contractions are worse I will be such a wimp and probably faint!

I don't think I'll cope well with labour haha just had to have 2 paracetemol because her foot is hurting my rib haha! Can't believe something sooo teeny can hurt so much!

Just back from my scan. Twin 1 is still head down and head is very low, twin 2 has moved to head down as well now! They seem to be whoppers, estimated at 4 pounds 13 ounces and 4 pounds 14 ounces!

Blue that's a lovely bump. Legs look great too!

Wow they are good weights! Last Tuesday Imogen was estimated 3lbs 3 lol.. I think you're a week ahead of me and plus the extra week because mine was last week and your scan today they are a couple weeks ahead of what Imogen was and I think theyd be more than what she'd put on in a couple weeks so they are such good weights for twinnies
Reassuring for if they do decide to make an early appearance! How have the BHs been? Xx

Yeah they are quite big at the moment, you never know though Imogen might surprise you, twin 1 has gained almost 1 and a half pounds since my scan a fortnight ago :O if she carries on like that for the last 4 weeks, they will both be 8 pounds when born at 37 weeks. I think they are likely to slow down a bit now though (else I'm going to have to invest in a second moses basket hahah).

BH have been less today! I did pop up to talk to a midwife after my scan and she just said call if they get regular again and really painful. Think OH was just getting a little over-excited about it all "sweetheart, we've got to call the midwife!" "uhh can't we just go to bed?" xx

Wow that would be amazing weights wouldn't it especially for twins! Glad they are growing so well

Glad they have been less it's horrid when they come so often lol!

Not sure how you twin mummies cope with 4 feet in ribs lol. Just had todays 2nd dose of paracetemol..she's hurting my rib so much! Xx

Aww Millie. I actually prefer them head down I think as I found two heads under the ribs a lot more uncomfortable than feet. I think mine are kicking backwards though and quite low so ribs aren't suffering. Is Imogen long? xx

She was head up for a few weeks but she never seemed to put her head right under luckily..was just enough to be uncomfy but not sore so I was really lucky. Bet two heads right in ribs is so uncomfy!

I'm not sure on her length they never mentioned it but midwife put yesterday she is 2/5th engaged and feet are still high in ribs so she is either long or its just my short torso haha! Xx

Oh wow! Did she look at your cervix then? I don't really know what the engaged thing means or how it works but it sounds like it would mean imminent arrival?
