***January 2017 mummies!*** 3rd Trimester

Awww that is amazing news. They are doing so well! Xxx

I think I have only had them for the past week or two really... But I'm pretty sure mine are actual contractions, I could time them last night and they were quite painful :( xxxx
Mine have got sore the last week or so whereas they never used to be so could just be that they are more painful in general further on? Fingers crossed. Are you on your feet a lot? Or dehydrated? If I do a lot or don't drink enough they come like every 5/10 mins for a few hours. Xxx

Wonderful news lisa! And for such prem little things, sounds like they are doing incredibly well. Must of had serious good incubating inside of mummy ;) can't wait to see them.

I sit most of the day tbh lol as a receptionist and a lazy house wife. They aren't awful all the time, i just get moments of it but last night was a good hour of it in from and back. xxxxx

M&S have sent me two 8-piece cotton newborn sets as an apology for the delivery rubbishness! Yay! All is forgiven haha. I'm so easily bought.

Ohhh that would win me over too Laura! How very kind, even if it was very inconvenient! xxx

Lisa it's so so good to hear from you and i'm so glad the boys are doing well! Cannot wait to see a photo :)

Don't worry Thumbs I didn't get a single one in my first pregnancy! I've been getting loads this pregnancy so I don't know if it's because my body's done it all before and is just reminding me?!

If anyone has littles to buy for this Christmas Mothercare/Early Learning Centre has a fantastic Black Friday sale on.. I got a pack away car playmate thing reduced from £40 to £16!

I think you can also sometimes get proper contractions but without dilating.. but if you're worried I'd call triage as they can then examine and confirm and stick you on monitors :)
I think real contractions spike higher than braxton hicks too on the chart thing xxx

Aww Lisa that's wonderful! How are you doing?

Just had my physio session for SPD, it was kind of odd, the guy was lovely but weirdly awkward so I sort of felt like I was talking to a teenager. He showed me a few exercises and gave me this tubey grip thing to wear over and under the bump, as he was looking for it/cutting it/handing it over he said about three times that it was the largest size they had and hopefully it would be big enough....mm hmm, I get it, I'm huge XD It is really comfy though, hoping it'll improve things!

hahah aw Sprout lol bless that guy, not very smooth of him! The midwives gave me tubey grip and it was "regular" size but I thought I was going to pass out when I put it on, so I had to make the embarrassing phone call to ask for the biggest they've got :hugs:

I almost died from shock when midwife called me slim yesterday though. It made a nice change from the usual comments these days

I still need to get round to a support band. I was going to order one but haven't yet. When I mentioned pain to midwife at 24 weeks she didn't really say anything about it lol. I read though spd hurts when moving your legs apart in your inner thighs. Mine isn't that it's my pelvis kinda at front and then my hips at the back and down my legs xxx

They gave us a picture with all the potential "pain spots" at the group physio class and it def includes where you're saying millielaura. I wonder if I can find a similar picture..

And I remember them asking if anyone felt it down their legs as well xx

Ooh yeah that's where it is apart from thigh ones. I might mention it again at my midwife appointment next week! I'm having physio for my shoulders and was going to mention it this week but I rearranged as I slept so bad the night before lol xxx

Just bought myself a weego twin carrier! I wasn't sure about getting one as they are really expensive and only get a few months of use, but I know OH would love one for Christmas and I have justified it because you can sell them again on ebay for like 80 quid so I'll hopefully get some of my money back!

Such a cute carrier! And good about M&S!

My feet are so puffy today, maybe I need a day mostly sitting?

Ahh that's great, I didn't know twin carriers were a thing!

Ah thanks Kate. Will just wait and see how I get on.

Wonderful to hear from you Lisa! I'm so pleased to hear the boys are doing well xx

Hi girls! I've missed so much! I went back and skimmed through it but I don't think I can comment on it all. Happy to see that everyone is doing well and the little scares are just temporary things.

The twins are progressing at an amazing pace. They only needed breathing assistance for two days and now they don't even get drip anymore. They still can't suckle, but it still counts as them eating in their own through the tube. My milk has come in so they get mostly that and some donor milk if it's not enough. Still trying to get the hang of pumping, so not producing enough yet, but soon.
Both boys are healthy and all tests so far are good. It's amazing how quickly it's going. Less than a week and they are almost free of tubes and wires. Only thing they have left is for monitoring. I'm so incredibly happy. The doctor is really impressed with their progress.

Oh that is such great news Lisa! I'm so happy to hear that! I know you are sooo happy! I can't wait to see their picture!

Aaawww that twin carrier is so cute! I didn't know they made those!

I have such a little monkey! Had reduced movements again and couldn't feel her all day so went in and she started going crazy on the monitors..typical! But she was moving so much that her heart rate was going reallyy high and then it was dipping up and down loads. Ended up on the monitor for a few hours in the end! Then she finally calmed down and we got a good trace and I could go. They found protein in my urine but they said is prob nothing and my blood pressure was ok but they have to send to lab anyway and would call if any problems xxx
