***** January 2015 Mummy's *****

Congrats to buzz and Katy too! Sorry you had a rough time buzz.

Very exciting few days :)

Thanks for all the well wishes...think I'm still in a bit of shock it all happened so quickly and I really thought I was just overreacting to the pain while I was at home!

We are just in the car on the way home(!) and very excited to settle into our new family (if a bit terrified!!)

Unfortunately calebs snowsuit is ginormous but he still looks quite cute in it lol! x

Awww so happy that my due date buddy is now my baby buddy ha. How weird.

Amazing news Laura. So happy for you. Beautiful name and excellent weight

X

Very weird Nat...and both deciding they were in a bit of a hurry!!

Congrats again as well xx

So pleased to hear all the baby news. The babies look so cute..congratulations to all.

More boy babies! How weird. Makes me think im bound to be having a girl. Someone has to build up the girl numbers

Congrats to Buzz as well. What a day for babies!

Do we have any news from Ronnie...not heard from her in a while

Another baby to add to today's list! Rowan Ian Coe was born at 3.26am today weighing 7lbs 2 by emergency section. He was back to back and after 22 hours of horrendously painful contractions in my back I only made it to 4cm so at that stage got an epidural and was started on the drip. However after 6 hours on the drip I hadn't prigressed any further, and the CTG wasn't great, so the decision was made to get on with a section.
We are absolutely besotted. I've not slept since 4am Monday and yet can't bare to put him down and go to sleep! I'm sure that'll change very soon!

I'll catch up properly soon. Congrats Buzz and Katy. And spallerina too..wowser what a day.

We've been home a few hours. So far so chaotic lol. Baby very mucousy which I know is normal but its horrible. She's feeding ok though and we've had wet nappies and 2 poos

My labour notes started at 5.25 when we got to birthing centre and baby arrived at 6.45. So I had an 80 minute labour. 4 hours from waters going to birth. Compared to 15 hours (51h from 1st pain to birth) with James.

Bit of a difference hey?

Beatrice is teeny as well. 6lbs 11oz. All of her clothes are massive.

Congratulations Spallerina! What has happened today. All babies eager to make an appearance!

More Babies. Congrats everyone!

Just lost my mucous plus, got me all excited although I don't think it means labour is imminent, especially with first baby. At least things are going in the right direction x

Fingers crossed for you princessp - I started contracting immediately after I started to lose my plug on Monday!

Just caught up properly! Wow, today was a busy one! Congrats Nat, Buzz and Katy! Obviously an EXCELLENTVday to have a baby!

I'm not feeling anything yet. Don't know if im nervous or scared. I know sometimes it can be another couple of weeks before labour starts so trying not to focus too much on it.

Congrats Spallerina!

Fx it moves quick for you princessp.

Still no sign for me, due date tomorrow... Sigh! x

Already had a meltdown.

Baby hadn't fed much since coming home and I couldn't find any contact numbers in my notes. Rang maternity to ask them to put me through to ward and this absolute bitch of a mw basically said I was overreacting. Said that not feeding for 4 hours is normal and they wouldn't re admit me. Urm..... its not normal to have a listless baby who doesn't want to feed. She'd fed a bit at home but I didn't actually tell mw this. She refused to put me through to ward.

This cow I spoke to then asked me why I had gone home so quickly if I had concerns. I didn't efffing discharge myself did I?

Cue tears and panic. Thankfully my lovely mil (nurse and mum of 6) came round and we've got a more lively baby who has had a few ozs. Had to do formula though but going back to boob.

I'm having a quick power nap with James whilst granny has cuddles.

What a day. I'm still in complete and utter shock.

X

congrats spallerina :)

hope things start for you soon princess.

big hugs nat. some midwives just seem to revel in being horrible...i came across a few when i had my son

25 hours after my plug my waters broke. Hopevthings move quickly and smoothly for you princess xxx

Aw Nat I hate some mws they are the reason I only be Tyler for 6 weeks pressuring me all the time. This time I'm doing a bit of both as Oisin is a hungry little Mr xx

Hugs Nat, sound horrid. I guess one of the benefits of a section is that they are in less of a rush to discharge you, and actually I've had huge amounts of help from the MWs here, we've been very lucky. Struggling a bit with feeds though, it's stressful. He has just been too sleepy and full of mucus to be all that interested, and it has been quite hard work to get him interested in the boob. However he just woke for his last feed and managed 15 mins (on and off) the boob so hoping now he's approaching 24 hours old he'll be that little bit more alert and it will start to get easier.

It's great you have your MIL for support, are there any community BF support workers or groups you could access? There seems to be loads in our area, although as I've boy yet tried to use any of the services no idea if they are any good!

Princesp - let us know how things progress with you. My plug came out on Sunday and I haven't felt anything much since.... Yawn!
