I don't know how to do a pic from my phone! He is a little beauty though who after not being that fussed about feeding for the first 24 hours of his life is now giving me my first night of not wanting to get off the boob!!!

At least it's some progress so fx it isn't too far away. It's my due date today, waiting for mw to come round and hoping she might get something cracking as I'm going mad! Pgp is horrendous today.

When will you see your mw now? X

I'm seeing the midwife on saturday for another sweep.

How about you?

I'm excited for something to happen but am also really scared. Having serious doubts about whether I'll be able to cope with the birth. I'm such a wimp!

I've only had tiny bits of plug go but yesterday and today I've felt sore around my whole bump, and bum too! I was in tesco yesterday and felt like baby might just fall out! No such luck

Baby has been super active today, was hoping that means something?!

Waiting for mw now, she hasn't said anything but guessing she might do a sweep as I'm 40wks?? Didn't know you'd had one already princess, is that what prompted you starting to lose plug?

I know taboo didn't lose hers til her water broke so clinging on to that fact as there's no sign of mine!

I never lost my plug the first time but then I had to be induced.

Oh my, I didn't get on yeterday so just catching up! What happened??! There were so many babies born yesterday! Must have been the buisiest day yet. Congrats to all the new mums!!

Sorry you had a hard time buzz, glad LO is here safe in the end. How many hrs did you end up in labour total?

Nat, wow what a difference from your last labour! Glad it was quicker for you. And your labour started with waters going too? So many of the January mums seem to have started with their waters going. I didn't think it was that common.

Yes, I had some spotting after sweep earlier this week but it was quite dry blood then yesterday it was definitely mucous plus because it was in a bug lump, sort of like the white of and egg tinged with blood. Sorry TMI!

Candy, did the Mw do a sweep for you? I haven't had any other signs. Really don't feel like anything is going to happen for me this week.

How frustrating for you. Hopefully I might get the same though as I just want some sign of progress!

Annoyingly she still hasn't come! She was supposed to arrive between 9-1 and then rang after 1 to say it wouldn't be til 4 (it's ten past and I'm still waiting!). This will probably be an anti climax as I bet she won't even do a sweep now I'm psyched up for it.

Are you doing the usual walks/ball bouncing?!

I'm still trying to just think at least I have a few more lazy days but frustration is overriding that now..

I'm not really doing walks or ball botching to be honest. I always plan to but my days seem to slip away from me.

That's so annoying that she hasn't turned up yet. I got so excited when they offered me and did a sweep, was curtain that it would gets things moving but nope.

I want things to happen but on the other hand I don't. Want the excitement of something starting but think I would seriously panic if it did. Maybe that's why I haven't been trying the walking and bouncing

Sorry that you ladies still waiting are feeling frustrated.

I know how fed up I was. Wish I'd bloody slept some more though. I've had 90 minutes in almost 48 hours.

Will be keeping an eye on this thread over the coming days... still a good few babies set to arrive.

Will update all the recent births when I get on lappy. And when my brain works lol

Yeah i keep thinking I should be sleeping more but the more I sleep in the day, the less I sleep in night.

Hope baby has settled a bit for u Nat and is feeding better. You will soon be in more of a routine I'm sure.

I can't keep up with all the new births! Will be difficult For you to update page. Don't worry about it, just do it when u have time x

Have given in and offered baby a few oz of formula as no wet nappy since this morning. Had mw here earlier and she said baby was taking my boob well but she can't be getting enough if no pee since this morning?

Don't beat yourself up about it Nat. Everyone I talk to seems to say that baby doesn't seem to get enough from breastfeeding in the first few days. It's so hard when you just want to do your best for the baby. You get some midwives who say not to give a baby a bottle as it will confuse them. I am dreading coming up against these issues! Really want to breastfeed but I know how difficult it can be, especially with the different advice given.

Hi all, I had a bit more plug coming out today, and lots of pressure on my bump.... Hopefully that's a sign that something may happen soon!

Nice to have a few of us still hanging on here, to support each other.... Megsmeadow, candy, princesp.... Who else? Hard to keep count...

I agree it's nice there's still a few left on here for support/company!

I saw the mw yesterday. She said I could have a sweep if I wanted but advised
as it was only just due date and it was first baby it might not have any effect? And after waiting in for her ALL day having had no sleep the previous night I was exasperated and agreed with her. She said I should have one next week when it might have more effect. She said that they like to let things try and happen on their own a bit more with firsts so it's more natural and things move when they're ready? I am inclined to agree a bit.

OH and I are resorting to DTD tomorrow if no action before then! She has booked an induction for 3rd feb if all else fails so might end up in the feb thread if they'll have me!!

Any news from anyone else I wonder?

I had a sweep at term plus 1 and it did nothing so u may be best waiting. Nice for things to happen naturally on their own. Nothing happening with me. Thought I woke up with a contraction but I think it was actually indigestion. I will prob end up in yhe debar thread too.

Saw on my notes that my due date from lmp is the 25th so as irrational as this is i now have my sights set on that for something to happen! Hope we don't make it as far as feb
