***** January 2015 Mummy's *****

Well, me and hubby braved doing the deed last night (wasn't anywhere as near as bad as I had built it up to be in my head) and then I spent the rest of the night with severe cramps and a few very painful contractions. They didn't get close enough together though sadly, but it was the worst nights sleep I've ever had. Still feel very crampy this morning too so hopefully something is beginning to happen in there.

Not sure if I regret doing it now as it obviously had some affect which is great on one hand, but I feel so uncomfortable now and hubby at work all day so I'm on my own looking after an energetic 15 month old!

Hopefully something comes of it ceecee xx we did too but only had a few tightenings that was it so might just have to try again tomorrow or later if OH is up to it ;) xx

Maybe I'll brave sex soon.

Not yet though

Speaking of awful night's sleep, I cannot believe the night we had last night.

My cat decided to jump from our little roof terrace to the neighbours and couldn't get back (its about an 8ft jump but a few feet down so of course she couldn't make the jump back). I noticed her missing about 10pm, but thankfully we could see and hear her. Knocked on the neighbours but there was no answer. Tried to get a ladder across to her (ladder too short) and about 1am decided that she'd have to stay put for the night.

There is about a 50ft drop from roof she was on to the ground [my other neighbours garden]. Of course I am upset, can't sleep and pi55ed off as my OH had let her out?? 3am and we can hear the most almighty meowing, she'd somehow managed to get down into neighbours garden and was having a fight with another cat

Poor neighbour gets woken up, cat wont go to her so I have to go down and traipse through neighbours garden and house to get our bloody cat.

3.15am and she is finally home.

7.30am I am up for the day

Going to spend my maternity leave sitting next to the cat and poking her every time she nods off.

X

Oh Nat, what a nightmare, but I can't help but giggle at the thought of you poking the cat awake in revenge hahaha.

I'm back to just feeling a bit crampy again this morning, although my lower back is pretty uncomfortable. Guess she'll come when she's ready to and not before so not sure I'll bother trying any other eviction methods as they just annoy you when they don't work! Still stops hubby pestering me to try an eviction quickie now lol

On the topic of sex, I also braved it last week, and not only it was awkward but quite painful, in the sense that the door was not quite shut, but tightly ajar!!

I did spent the rest of the night up with a tight feeling down there and very uncomfortable. I decided that night that I'm not trying that again till baby is out!!

Nat- what a nightmare night with your cat! Not exactly what you were needing. Lovely scan pic though.

Am I the only one still having regular sex? I must be strange, pregnancy actually makes me horney. I admit its a bit awkward with the huge bump but we seem to manage.

I have been having BH with painful cramps since about 34w so I don't think they mean a lot for me. Last time I was the same and I got so used to it when labour finally did start it took me about 7hrs to admit that it was the real thing, lol.

Afternoon ladies!

Nat i also had a crap night's sleep but it was half husband snoring related rather than a naughty cat!

I was wondering what everyone's baby movements are like at this point? I went from panic last week in triage for reduced movements to now the other extreme - they've been going nuts! Had got back to normal after last week, then last night and this morning they've not really stopped. Really big, uncomfortable movements too (i feel bruised now!). its eased off a bit now but there's conflicting things on Dr Google... Seeing a MW at the drop in tomorrow but just wondered if any of you ladies had anything like this? xx

Still plenty of movements for me, think it was the same with James as well.

So she must still have a bit of room in there

When I have had crazy, uncomfortable movements like that its usually been when LO changed position.

Bunny, me and hubby had regular sex last time I was pregnant as it made me quite horny first time around. This time, I never want it, but realise I miss it when I do finally do it. I always build it up to be worse in my head. I lack energy this time too though due to chasing a toddler aroud so think that may play a part in it.

My cramps are still there on and off but not come to anything sadly.

I had loads of movement last night - went to see the Hobbit for the third time, think the loud noise in the cinema must bother him. Almost kicked my tray of nachos off my bump at one point (I've been using it as a tray and armrest - will be weird when it's gone!)

Haha me too sunflower! A most convenient tray :)

I had a good couple hours massive movements after id woken and not even eaten. Not sure what to do really. Midwife thinks it could be normal but also said I should go to triage for monitoring given I was there last week. This child can't win!

Thanks ladies x

I get crazy movements when I lie on my back on the settee or watching telly in bed- I've been worried because of the pain on the side of my bump from coughing so much but I think it's definitely a pulled muscle, and she's been moving loads so not tooooo worried.

Seeing the midwife tomorrow and definitely going to mention the fact I woke up in the middle of the night with a crazy swollen hand- like mentally swollen- it's gone down now so again I'm not too worried but it was so tight :-( anyone else had any swelling? X

I think my feet might be ever so slightly swollen (as standard!) but not my hands particularly, deffo not like that anyway so good plan to mention to your MW x

I had midwife appointment this afternoon-all ok,head only 4/5 engaged so might start bouncing on my ball! We also went to look round the birthing centre where I hope to go when it all happens! Makes it seem a bit more real now!

Who is next??????????? Ha ha xx

I haven't noticed any swelling other than my rings getting tight, so I ended up taking of my wedding and engagement rings off a couple of weeks ago which I HATE so much. Feel so bare without them. Never had to take them off with J. I think I might have got away with leaving them on but didn't want to risk it. My wedding band is just a plain white gold one and wasn't overly expensive so it wouldn't have mattered as much if it was cut off, but I would have been devastated if they had to cut the engagement ring off as hubby chose it himself before he proposed.

Getting so bored of being pregnant now too. I've never been one of those women who thrives on pregnancy or glows with it. I see it as a means to a fab end, but not one I overly enjoy. That sounds so terrible doesn't it. My pregnancies have both been straightforward too but I just don't enjoy it much.

I'm getting to the end of my tether now too, my SPD has now moved into my groin too so that's another added delight! I naively didn't really anticipate how hard this last bit would be!?

I thought for sure my hands would swell a bit too ceecee but have so far escaped this! I know what you mean about feeling naked without wedding bands on though.

Had a trip down to the assesment unit this evening - third day in a row where I've worried about reduced movements, finally bit the bullet and called today after the usual tricks didn't get much of a response. Was on the monitor for ages as the trace wasn't brilliant at first but improved after I got onto my left side and the MW seemed happy with it. Sods law as soon as I arrived there the little monkey started wriggling like crazy and has been active since, so feeling a lot better about that!

This is exactly what happens to me Spallerina! Glad all was well with the little tinker! x
