Good luc at the scan Nat...I'd love to see this one again but I guess it's only 4 weeks max until I meet her properly anyway. How big was James when he was born?
Eeek Jolly, must be nice knowing it's a week max for you. I know you want to go naturally if you can, but at least if you do end up having section you know when you'll meet her and can prepare etc.
I think I'm a lot more nervous about labour this time. Not because the labour itself bothers me as such, more the logistics of my parents getting here to watch my son as they live 2.5 hours away. I'm stressing he won't want to go to bed for them, or eat, or drink milk, or get upset that I'm not here and stuff like that. Silly I know as my mum has had 4 babies and is great, and my son loves my dad so much so it's totally irrational thinking!
I am quite worried about the logistics of it all Ceecee and my folks are only a 10 minute drive away.
I think it's just because I have never left James before (well I leave him every day but he's never stayed out / been left overnight?)
The plan is - as we don't have a car - that Dad will come and get us and bring my Mum. So she'll stay with James and Dad will drop us in and then go back to our's.
I've left lists of routines etc.
I feel very emotional when I think about leaving James and I really hope I don't have to stay in too long [was in 36h with him!]. I'll be sending Daddy home as soon as so he isn't left too long.
Aw, great pic for so late on too!
I've just been in touch with a local photographer who put an ad out looking for newborns on the 8th of February to practice some new poses and outfits. She's also happy to have ds join in for the second part. Now I didn't get newborn shots with ds but I thought it'd be lovely to have them both together. Oh and I'd get s couple of free prints too. I think I might just be mad!!
I'm thoroughly sulky this evening - found out one of the mums from our NCT group who was due the day after me had her baby Saturday evening. I'm just so fed up and am convinced I'll go hugely overdue, feeling very sorry for myself whilst sat on my ball trying to ignore the pain in my back!
Hahaha I love this- 8 months ago we were all symptom spotting in TTC, now here were are symptom spotting for LABOUR!!!! How exciting, although we all feel like poo!
Steph- I became a super pooer last week- I go four or five times a day now and nothing hope it means something for you though.
I'm feeling a little more crampy this evening- been checking toilet paper for a week now for plug- again how funny that up until that point I have checked the whole way through for any bleeding and now I'm desperate to see my plug!!!! x
I'm not feeling anything? Don't think she is coming anytime soon and I don't actually mind. I could do with some down time.
After tomorrow I can finally take it easy.
Although that said ive already made plans for Fri and Sat (Friday im going to a group with a friend then out for lunch and Saturday I'm at a baby shower in the afternoon and out for dinner in the evening)
Wow that pic is gorgeous Nat xx I had my 38 week appointment today baby is almost 7 lb xx really wish something would happen now I'm so ready for this wee man now xx might try to tempt OH later xx see if that helps. And get some raspberry tea tomorrow morning xx
Hmm, I might have had a super gloop this morning but it was after a bowel movement so I don't know if I've just tried too hard, sorry for the tmi! I've definately been getting Braxton hicks and when I was shopping with my mum today I had pains coming and going right near my cervix. Nothing regular though, or very labour like!
I've had bits of mucous plug coming out since beginning of 2nd tri! it's like a discharge with a greeny tinge, but loads of it and mostly after a BM. I'm just waiting for that moment that it's tinged with blood and then I'll get excited
Hi Ronnie, supposedly your body does an overall "clearout" of your insides before labour to avoid possible accidents while pushing later.... Some hospitals also offer you to clear your bowel (various methods, I'm sure you can guess!) during your early labour....
