***** January 2015 Mummy's *****

Katy isn't it your due date today? Happy due date if so!!!

I went to pizza express with some friends and they'd decorated the table for me and bought me gifts- so sweet :-)

Anyway, had the hottest pizza in the hope of getting things moving and all it's done is give me the shits!!!!! Nooooo!!!!!!

Saw a shooting star on the way home and praying it's a sign :-) x

Oh and spallerina that's happened To me twice now too! X

39 weeks today !!
Had sex lastnight for the first time in a week, nothing !!!!
Not even a cramp afterwards :(

Baby is 9 pound already going by last weeks growth scan. I just want him out now. No
Sleep and just general discomfort plus dying to meet him xxx

Ooh yellow glass maybe you'll start feeling something soon though?

I had another awful night- my coughing is so bad I'm not getting to sleep until about 4am and then it's up at 7am with the mini-monster for the day!!! I'm so exhausted, but am taking Freddie to our soft play area a bit later to run around before lunch and wear him out!!! Luckily only today and tomorrow left then he's in nursery on Friday and hubby is around to look after him over the weekend.

This time round is totally different and so much harder physically, but we knew what we were letting ourselves in for so I really shouldn't complain!!!!

Well, I've had like a milky discharge with a green tint to it most of this pregnancy and today, it was brown. Would that be my show? Never had it with my first. I have pics if anyone wants to see but don't want to send TMI this early in the morning! :-) :-)

Glad little monkey started wriggling away Spallerina. My son did this to me so much in third tri and it wasn't helped by having anterior placenta, but this time round thankfully placenta is posterior and I've got an acrobat in there lol.

Oooh Jolly, maybe it's your clearout?! I'm also finding it a lot harder this time around, physically. Have SPD in my inner thighs which I didn't have last time and of course, I'm unable to just have a nap when I need in the day or a lie-in in the mornings. Love my son to bits, but I could totally kill for a whole day just spent lounging in bed, sleeping, relaxing and watching trashy TV lol.

I'm not that clued up on shows I'm Steph. I lost a tiny bit of pug with my son and then my waters went so I never had a show. Hope it's things starting for you though :)

TMI but my achey lady bits are back. Haven't had it for a few weeks now (lightening crotch yes) but that constant throbbing ache is back with a vengeance this morning and I'm crampy. Hoping it means she has moved down and is engaging again as she was 1/5 engaged at 34 week appt, but free again at the 36 week appt.

Aww jolly I slept from 3am til 5am. That was it.
Been pacing around the apartment since naked as I am so hot and irritable haha. Hubby's just gone to work so I'm laid in bed reading game of thrones begging for sleep. I'm tired but I'm just so restless !!!!!! Xxx

I seem to have one nights decent sleep (decent being 2-3 hours at once, a few times in the same night) and then I have a few awful nights. Last night was decent so I'm actually ok today.

Most nights its my brain over thinking that keeps me awake as opposed to baby / pregnancy. Although I can only sleep in one position otherwise I get horrible HB.

No - I'm 17th!!

Oh woops!!! Sorry!! I should have looked at the first page :-) x

Steph, a milky/green discharge sounds more like a possible infection, might be worth getting a swab done just to be sure?

It's not. I've had this from the start of pregnancy and doc confirmed it to be fine

The important part is that it was brown this morning. Waiting to hear back from the hospital :)

Just heard back from hospital, they want to see me today to check bloods etc.

 Hi guys!!!

I'm back lol! I've not been on in aaaageees due to work, getting the *whole* flat redecorated and sorted for wee ones arrival, and then xmas/new year, but I'm now off on mat leave and hoping to be able to catch up with everyone over the next couple of weeks :)

Damn, just when I thought I had a good hour or so to catch up DH has just came home early from work!!! No rest for the wicked eh?! I'll be back on later or tomoz x

Hi ladies

Hope you're all doing well

I'm still in hospital and will be at least another day

Poor baby has lost about 12 percent of his body weight so now down to 5lb 5oz. We had mainly bought 0-3 months clothes but he is swamped in the few newborn size clothes we have.

Have been averaging about 2hrs sleep per day since 2 January so wiped out. So if you can rest now, I think you'll be glad :-)

Also I haven't posted birth story yet but with labour I went from screaming in agony up to 7cm and then so comfy I fell asleep til 10cm with epidural not feeling any contractions. I know it's different for everyone but the difference was amazing so do keep in mind :-)

Hey TC- good to hear from you- sorry you're still in hosp- did you carry on bf-in or switch to formula? Whichever, I hope you're starting to feel a little more in a routine even if you are still in hosp.

I had an interesting afternoon. I had my midwife appt at 3.45 and I had raised blood pressure and swollen hands to she sent me straight over to the hosp to be checked out as my bp has been spot on every time.

Anyway, at the hosp my bp was still raised, but baby was totally fine- however the main thing they were concerned about was my pulse/heart rate- it was over 140bpm when apparently it should be below 100!!!!! It was faster than babbas. So I've spent the last 6hrs in hosp having bloods taken from a cannula and then having iv fluids. They let me come down as my pulse finally came down to 92 thank god!!! They've put the whole
Episode down to dehydration and anxiety. I guess I am anxious about my c section on Monday, but I think my pulse must have become raised when I was referred to the hosp and it was all rush rush rush. Last time something like that happened I was put under GA and they took Freddie out super quick. Some things never leave you :-(

Xxx

I'm meant to have my midwife app tomorrow at 39 weeks. Haven't seen her since I was 34!
How does the midwife check the engagement ??

Had a few quiet belly days just passed (not worryingly quiet!) but today and tonight he's back with knees and bums flailing about everywhere !!!!!!! Xxx

Hope you're both allowed home soon TC.

Jolly, that sounds like a scare for you. NO wonder you were stressed after what happened last time.

Cramps can be very normal at this stage Ronnie but can also be a sign that labour is coming. Annoying!!

Yellow, they normally palpate your belly/pelvic area to feel for babies head and see how much they can feel. That tells them how free or engaged baby is.

I am suffering so badly with constipation these last few weeks. It's horrible. I feel like I permanently have the sensation that I need to go to the toilet but can only do tiny amounts and it's a real struggle to go. Seeing GP this morning for 38 week appt so hopinh they'll be able to help :/

Hope they can give you something for relief ceecee xx

Morning ladies. As I'm now a lady of leisure we didn't get up until about 10 minutes ago lol.

James finally let me have a sleep in.

TC, hope you and your wee boy are allowed home soon. I think 10% body weight loss is the cut off point but they can fluctuate so quickly that hopefully he will have a nice gain very soon.

I've not had many MW appts but I had the head position checked at the last two? I would ask hun.

Jolly I'm feeling quite anxious and I didn't have any major issues last time so I can only imagine how you are feeling. I know ladies that have a planned section always say how calm it is and tend to have a very good recovery (compared to emergency sections)

Ceecee hope they can give you something. We got Movicol for James when he was really constipated. Lactoluse didn't help.

Its so wet here today so I'm having a day in. OH is taking James to see his cousins. We've decided OH won't go back to work until after baby comes now. He can't commit to anything at this time anyway incase I have baby so we're going to have a little time as a family.
