Yaay Meg, fingers crossed this is it for you, keep us posted!
I'm just back from seeing my OBS - so confused!

Haven't even reached my due date, which is tomorrow. But, despite the fact that I've had a pregnancy without a single complication, he now considers me "high risk" as I'm 40 years old.
So he really wants to induce, and my OH and I are not so keen on the idea, but rather wait a few more days. I know in the UK they typically would wait at least to 41w before induction, but Singaporean doctors are a bit more conservative and he's quoting some vague research that says that 40yo+ women are at higher risk (like 0.1% more!) of having a still birth if going over 40w term....
He checked my cervix and it's only 1.5 cm and quite high / hard.... Whilst checking he did try to separate the membranes (I suppose his version of a "sweep") and now I'm in discomfort, but truly, truly, truly hoping that this baby decides to come naturally soon, because I truly do not want an induction
So basically I've asked to wait a couple more days, we go back on Friday afternoon for another check and then see which way to go....
What would you girls advice?
