***** January 2015 Mummy's *****

Tinselcat I'm so sorry to hear that, I hope you're getting looked after by your parents lovely, glad to hear you're getting some sleep :hugs:

Well it'll be my third anf final sweep tomorrow before an induction on the weekend. Last sweep resulted in 6 hours of regular pains but nothing else. Candy, don't worry about sweep, it is totally fine. I hardly felt the second one I had.

Thanks princess this gives me hope! Going to try and stay relaxed and breathe through it!

Just having my pineapple smoothie, having been for a walk... X

Tinsel cat, sorry to hear you've had a stressful start with your baby. Just do what is best for you and baby. No point sticking to a relationship that isn't working. I take my hat off to you single mothers.

Honestly candy, a sweep is fine. I think it depends on how your cervix is but it's uncomfortable more than painful.

Just dtd to see if that works. Having mild cramps now but don't think it means anything. Maybe sweep tomorrow will work. Even if labour starts now, will be a week overdue.

My midwife told me at last sweeo that she thinks my baby is a boy. When I asked her why, she wouldn't give a reason. Confused me as she said it a few times..

Say whaaaaat?! That it odd! Have you googled it?! I'd love to know the reasoning!

What time is your sweep tomorrow? Hopefully you won't need it!

I don't know why. I didn't even ask her what sex she thought the baby was. She asked me whether I thought it was a boy ro girl, so I said I didn't know but am leaning towards girl, not that that means anything. Then when she examined me (feeling and measuring my stomach and using doppler) she said 'this one is a boy I think'.

I asked why she said that and she said no reason. Maybe it's cos the baby is relatively big, even though I am not particularly and is overdue. Upon looking online, it seems boys tend to be slightly bigger on average and tend to go overdue more than girls. Not that that is an accurate way to determine sex as it's just generally. I think it's strange that a midwife would make such comments though. She said it again after sweep.

Sweep is in the morning at some time. I'm having cramps still from dtd. It isn't pain, more like a dull ache. Which is how the pains started on saturday, after we dtd.

Maybe based on the heart rate too?? Who knows!

Good luck for the night, maybe it's done something this time. X

Sounds like maybe she was making more of a fun guess??

I was 10 days overdue last time so sympathise with you ladies who are overdue now. I found all the talk of induction really stressful. In the end I went into labour naturally (I think dtd helped) and I didn't even get a sweep.

I was 5 days early this time and I am actually a bit sad that I didn't get a few more days to enjoy my bump. I seemed to be so busy the last couple of weeks I didn't really have time to think about being pregnant. I don't know if we will try for #3 or not so I don't know if I will ever be pregnant again. So as others have said as annoying as it is to be overdue try your best to take some time just enjoying your bumps while you still have them.

So sorry TC xx really hope you and baby are getting lots of love and support from your family xx

I miss my inside kicks too xx we might try for number 3 when the time is right maybe 2 years again xx see how things go I suppose xx I love my 2 boys so much xx

Hi all, the Singapore timezone means I miss on most of your updates until I get up the next day.... Sorry to hear about your situation TC, but quality time with your LO will hopefully make up for it all.

Two days away from my DD, and I'm also very impatient.... I am kinda tired of waiting now and wish the little rascal made an appearance!

I'm keeping a very close eye here for more babies arrivals. Looks like some of you are pretty close!

Hey sorpresa! Any signs for you yet?

OH and I managed a fairly comical DTD last night and I was so optimistic.... NADA!! This was after pineapple, evening primrose tabs, cleaning, walking. FFS!!

I am trying to remember and embrace the last few days of the kicks and those feelings though so this is wise advice from you ladies that have had the babies :)

Any luck for megs or princess? Xx

Well I had a clary sage bath following by a quick dtd. My pelvis is shot too so feeling a lot like John Wayne this morning!! More plug and a few more cramps but that's it!
Do you think we'll all go on the same day, that would be funny!

You could well all end up having bubs on the same day. Hopefully today lol.

TC I am not sorry to hear about you leaving. I am glad. Sorry if that sounds harsh but I was in an emotionally abusive relationship years ago and some of the things you had posted about your partner really upset me. He sounds horrific and I so very happy that you have taken a stand. Having a baby often makes it much harder to leave a situation but you have seen very quickly that your son deserves so much better and I have complete respect for you. In fact I'm in awe of you. It took me a long time to leave my ex without a child being involved.

Of course it will be hard but you are doing the right thing.

X

Sorry to hear you've had such a stressful start to the year TC but like Nat said, if it's best for you and baby then that's all that matters right now. Lots of support and TLC from your parents, plus some sleep sounds good. Big hugs hun, we're here if you want to talk or vent, or just for some support in general xx

Come on babies...would be lovely if the last few of you all ended up with the same delivery date :D

As for me, I'm knackered lol. Keeping up with a non-walking 15 month old whilst trying to establish breastfeeding with a baby who likes long cluster feeding sessions has been interesting to say the least! Nah, it's been ok in all honesty, although there have been moments where I have felt incredibly stressed or tearful, but that's normally off the back of a 3-4 hour feed when my boobs are sore and I just want some sleep. Milk is doing well though and little lady has regained all of her birth weight plus some.

Feels nice to know that my milk actually came in properly this time and I am able to breastfeed as I felt such a failure last time when it didn't happen. Daft really but I guess everything is so new first time around and you have some sort of ideal in your head how things will go, when they rarely ever do go to plan.

Nope, nada for me also! Eating pineapple and very spicy food, walking lots, hoovered the whole house yesterday... we've been talking about DTD for days, but neither of us particularly fancies it based on our last 2 previous times, which were, yes... comical!

Lovely to hear from all the ladies who are getting on with their newborns, and very nice Ceecee that your BF is going well.... Hope mine works out too.

I can't wait to get busy with our LO too! C'mon ladies, let's get them out soon! :)

TC sorry I missed your post. You're a strong lady and I'm sure these first few weeks will be made much easier with the support of your family. Time to focus on you and the little guy! x

Well after having cramps from about 7pm to 1am after dtd, woke up at 3am and there has been nothing. It seems that a sweep and dtd causes me cramps for a few hours but nothing comes of it. Having another sweep today.

My mucous plug continues to come out but it has gon from blood streaked, pink, to white to orange, now yellow. Is that normal? 8 days since due date!

Come on babies cone our and meet your lovely mummies xx

Oisin had his 2 week check today and is up to 7lb 15 the little chunk!! I'm over the moon with him xx

I had my scan earlier which I think went ok. The sonographer was less than helpful but did say the fluid levels look normal for gestation. Baby's back is to my right and head down.
So back in on Friday for another sweep!

That is good news megs! My sweep is tomorrow. I *think* ive lost some of my plug today so pinning my hopes on this being the start of something actually moving x
