***** January 2015 Mummy's *****

Congrats kitty! Your baby was born about 4 hours before mine! :-)

Carnat, baby boy was born 3/1/15 weighing 6 lbs.

Sorry am still in hospital and updates are hard, mainly due to feeding issues with baby (more my problems than his) so downtime comes out of the 3 hr per day sleep budget!

Looks like we are being discharged at 7am tomorrow, ugh!

Welcome back Janet :) It's got very real in here since you last posted haha. Lots of lovely new babies and hopefully not long until there are a few more.

Huge congrats on baby Freddie Kitty. Frustrating that it was a long stay but none of that matters once you are having newborn snuggles. Can't wait to see a pic :)

TC, do you have a choice to stay in longer to get the feeding sorted or do you have to be discharged this morning hun?

Well my nights are just getting worse and worse. Every morning this week I have woken up declaring that last night was the worst night ever and then it gets worse. Hope to god it means something's going to happen soon as I just can't bear this for another couple of weeks. Might abandon bed tonight and try the sofa for a change. At least that way I can watch some TV when I'm struggling to sleep.

Huge congratulations Kitty, can't wait to see a photo of Freddie!

Clever definitely try the sofa thing - I am sleeping so much better since I made the transition! Was on the verge of a breakdown before as my sleep was appalling, and on the sofa I still wake frequently but I get back to sleep so much more quickly, and if I'm struggling I put something really dull on the TV and that often helps. Got to be worth a go!

Sleep is a distant memory here as well. I'm struggling to breath as baby's spine is wedged in my ribcage and I can only lay on one side otherwise I get horrible heartburn. I finally manage to get semi comfy and then I need a wee.... and repeat..... all night. Getting 2 hours in one go is good for me at the moment.

Sadly when new baby comes I know its not going to get better for a while.

Have a baby shower tomorrow and then dinner in the evening (separate events) and don't want to go to either? Just want to sit indoors in my pj's.

X

Beyond tired!! We've had a night of flying bins, and trampoline roulette. Ds woke up so many times with hail battering his window it was wild. Then rain started coming through the bathroom ceiling, through the extractor fan :/ and I'm still feeling all odd. Oh gets the train to work but they are suspended and his car had a flat tyre. I'm officially hibernating today (while I wait for the tumble dryer engineer). Rant over :)

I slept from 2am til 3am !!!!
From 3am til 7 I lay hot, irritated and upset. It almost feels quite feverish haha and I feel terrible for saying this but everything seems to egg better once the husband gets up for work !!!!! It's just nice to have a big stretch I think !
In fairness he left the bed two hours ago and I am still laid here wide awake but hoping to get an hour or two in before 12 (wishful thinking)
Still few days of babies due date (I'm expecting to go over like my mother haha) but have niggling fear baby is gonna mess up our anniversary dinner tonight hahaha. Stay away at least one more day baby xxz

as there seem to be mummies having babies I just wanted to confirm my situation as technically I was next on the list although we know it never works so efficiently!

Im 41 weeks today, I thought things were happening yesterday as I had been having regular pains all night but they disappeared as the day went on and today I'm back to normal. I have a midwife appointment today so hoping she might confirm that I am slightly dialated so I know things are actually happening. I am going to avoid the sweep as they never worked with my first and I have done a lot of research now into them and they only tend to work when things are imminent anyway so I am just going to let baby come when it is ready. I went to 42+2 with my first but im hoping it won't be that long this time as I would like to go to the birthing centre and they dont accept you after 42 weeks. So fingers crossed it's not long now but waiting gets harder every day, not to mention really uncomfortable. Is anyone else likely to go to 42 weeks? It's hard waiting but I'm sure it will be worth it.

Good luck ladies, it's not long now.

I know the feeling of just wanting to sit in pjs instead of going out. I had GP appt yesterday and it felt like such a drag to go to lol.

Megs, sounds like a nightmare night for you!

Happy 41 weeks Nay. Hope things kick off for you soon. I have no idea when this one will show as my son came at 37 weeks.I'll probably be unlucky this time and go the full 2 weeks overdue knowing my luck!

Everyone is having such crappy sleep at the mo. We've just bought a new bed (superkingsize!) and the mattress came today...bed arrived earlier in the week. Sadly, hubby has banned me from it as my waters popped in bed last time and he doesn't want to ruin the brand new mattress. Sleeping in spare room or sofa for the time being now.

Ok so 38+4 today and haven't felt much from 8 last night. Is this normal at thus stage or should I get it checked out. Had a rough night with ds as he woke at 4.50 and after 4 attempts of putting him in his bed at 7.35 I resorted to putting him in his cot and he slept til 9.30. Now oh is gone off to feed our horses and just waiting til he gets home to tell him about baby.

I'm in the spare room too for sleep as oh snores and I keep tossing and turning ;) and a waterproof mattress cover on just in case! I'm slightly paranoid after Monday at the consultant as to whether I will be able now or not for natural birth with my cp last time they said there'd be no problem but this one made me wonder. Wish I knew someone in same position. Sorry for long post. Xxx

Happy 41 weeks nay hope baby gets a move on soon for you xxx

Ha. We'd bought a new mattress when I was almost due with James and I had mattress protectors and black bags under that. Didn't want to ruin mattress.

My waters dribbled at home (bathroom) baby's head was so low ot was acting as a plug so they didn't properly go until they were broken at the hospital.

Was told at scan on Monday that baby's head is really low in my cervix so not expecting waters to go? Or if they do bet its all over the brand new cream carpets.

X

Ts have you still felt some movement today though?

I've got the mattress protector pads from tesco on now in case, the last thing I want to come home to with a newborn is a soggy mattress lol! x

Gosh everyone's having such awful sleep!! I'm so glad it's not just me!!! I honestly think I wouldn't be too bad if it wasn't for this awful cough :-( I'm terrified I'll cough while they're doing the c section on Monday and my uterus will go everywhere :-(

Hopefully you get some more action soon Naydueanyday!!! It's so frustrating when others jump the queue ;-)

Got my pre-op in a couple of hours so going to ask them all about my cough etc then. X

Well I have just come back from my mw appointment and she said I am already 2-3 cms so I couldn't resist asking her to do a sweep whilst she was there, it probably won't work anyway as didn't last time but I would prefer a sweep to an induction so thought why not. I can't bare the thought of being so uncomfortable for another week plus I am being so grumpy with my daughter she will benefit if it speeds things up. B

I would like a new mattress so will try jumping up and down on mine in the meantime!

Had a wriggle earlier but that was it xx

Hopefully they might give u something to help with cough before Monday hun xx

Yay for 2-3 cm hun xx hopefully the sweep will work its magic this time for you xx

Hope the cough clears soon Jolly, sounds horrible.

Lol Nay, get bouncing :)

The weather was insane last night wasn't it?! I woke up (well got up, not sure I really slept a whole heap!) to our living room curtain pole having fallen down so am now waiting on a couple of builders calling me back to arrange to quote for a roof leak. Also been in kitchen and noticed some giant cracks on the ceiling I swear weren't there yesterday. Need to see if they think it's been caused my storm damage as otherwise not covered by home insurance. JUST what I was needing right now lol! x
