***** January 2015 Mummy's *****

Baby has been head down all the way for me, they can turn at any point even in labour so it's just a case of how they're comfy..

Ouch appendicitis! I hope you are ok hun must be awful :(

Mine went quiet the other night and scared the hell out of me as it's always battering me day and night but after an hour I got some good kicks with laying on my left and drinking ice cold sugary drink.. Got so worried as the cord is round it's neck :(

What is the upshot with the cord being round the neck?

I guess they can't do much? Other than keep an eye on you?

Scary!!!

Hi ladies! Had to come and find you over here as tri 2 is like a ghost thread! ;-)
Not quite tri 3 myself but not far away!

My next midwife appointment is next week so ill be interested to hear how baby is lying. I still get a lot of low kicks so not sure he is head down for good yet.

What a horrible day it is today!! I hate wind and rain, you just cant do anything outdoors and even driving isn't very nice.
Suppose to be meeting friends tonight but days like this i just want a nice warm bath and an early night!
I think your heading to the right place Kiwi going to Tenerife, not jealous at alllll hehe.

Happy anniversary to you and your DH MrsW!
I hope you both have a lovely day together whatever you end up doing :-) xx

Happy anniversary Mrs w! It was my first yesterday. I'm sure whatever you do will be lovely, cuddling on the sofa on a rainy day like today sounds perfect (well its rainy up north anyway!). Sorry to hear about your appendicitis Lotty, fx they will get you sorted soon.

My movements have been very sporadic lately and started to worry me, but its still moving just not as much as before. Also there are less proper kicks and jabs and more of a sensation like they're just moving generally? Hoping that's standard!

I am still signed off work with PGP/SPD, very frustrating being in pain and feeling a bit useless but it will be worth it come January! x

Very scary as I know what can happen during birth :( don't know if it's dangerous while they're in the womb I'm staying away from google!! I've got my mw app tomorrow so I'll be asking her then.. Did I post a pic??

Not sure I have seen a pic, not sure I want to??

I am sure they know what they are doing and if there was any real worry they'd have told you???

These babies hey? Like to keep us on our toes

What happened to tri 2?? I'm a bit of a fraud lurking in here but the other thread is deserted!

It did shock me when I first saw it.. Especially as Jaycee was born like it and wasn't breathing.. A friend of mine lost her baby during birth because of it too.. She asked me if I was due any more scans.. Which I'm not but I'm going to push for it and if it comes to it I'll pay for one closer to the end.. She checked the fluid levels after and said there was plenty of room in there for bubs to wriggle out of it.. They can get tangled in it all the time it just happened to be when we had our scan :(

Got some smiles tho :) have a few more but I won't clog up the thread lol!

Wow those pics are amazing, I can see how you'd get a shock though. LO had the cord around her neck in her scan pics too but it wasn't so clear. She was born with it around her neck too. It worried the MW for a few seconds as she tried to unhook it when the head came out, which is usually easy to do, and couldn't so had to deliver her with it still around her neck but it didn't end up being a problem. Actually it's pretty common for the baby to get the cord around their neck and it is rare for it to cause a problem. Most of the time it is simple to deal with and the mum doesn't even know it happened.

Thanks hun.. Just hard when I've had it before and the traumatic experience I had with Jaycee, they screamed at me to stop pushing so they could cut her cord before delivering the rest of her body.. And then my friend who wasn't so lucky :( I'm sure everythjng is fine though I appreciate your kind words :) it was odd how the previous week I was concerned about too much movement like bubs was struggling.. And to think I was potentially right :/

Lol, yeh, I'm here a bit early too but most people seemed to be in the tri 3 thread now. It doesn't really make sense to split the group up for the sake of a few days I think.

Wow Jayceesmumma those pictures are so clear! Good thing you went for the scan and the midwifes can be prepared at the birth - would they offer a c-section to be extra careful?

Oh girls I'm so nervous right now.. As some of you know my babs has a heart defect which we were told about at 20 weeks but we have another scan tomorrow when I'm 26 weeks.. Just to have a clearer look and I'm terrified they'll say something further is wrong.. Or that the situation is worse! I'm praying for a miricle and they tell me the 20 week scan was a huge mistake! Fingers crossed xx

I don't know what they'll do hun I have a feeling they won't do much and just fob me off tbh :(

Oh hun I hope it all goes well for you tomorrow I can't imagine the worry you've been under for the past six weeks! I hope they can give you some good news!

Thanks Jayceesmumma - and can I just say your baba is frickin beautiful! I now want a 3d scan! I'm sure they will be able to manage it but hun make sure you push for what your comfortable with! Especially given your friends situation that must be such a worry on you. X

Tri 3 is 27weeks hun but there's no restrictions on when u can post here :)

Ah thanks hun it was a HDLive scan they're one step up from 4D, was on offer for the same price as 4D! I'm defo gonna push for another scan but if they say no I'll happily pay for one just to check the cord!

Good luck today Jan sweetie.

Ronnie tri 3 is 27 weeks but lots of ladies due in early January are already here so I just started the thread. I'm 26 weeks today as well.

I am currently trying to facilitate a house move as well as work and look after an almost 2 year old..... life is hectic.

Amazing piccies JC mum. You can really see the cord hey?
