***** January 2015 Mummy's *****

It's still the foof kicks that get me!! I don't know if it's feet or hands or head that's doing it, but it literally takes my breath away!!!

So baby definitely turned when I thought she did last week- she's head down already which is vastly different to her brother who waited until 36weeks!!! Of course I know there's time for her to turn again, and again!!! But this is great news.

I desperately don't want to go overdue so am happy with my c section date of 39+2, but I think I would love her to arrive a few days before that :-)

Great news Mrs W

Glad you got checked out Sattie. Always best to be sure.

Jolly, I can't take the foof jabs either, they make me cringe. I think babay is head down so guess she is headbutting me, but it's the worst feeling ever!

Anyone else suffering really bad heartburn as soon as they lie back? Even a few hours after eating and I still get it. Horrible :/

Yes yes yes- got gaviscon advance prescribed from the docs for it- I spent a fortune on the stuff with my son and just can't justify a tenner a bottle!!! I don't think it's as bad as when I had my boy though, but he was much higher up which I think affected it x

Hating the heartburn. In scotland we can get gaviscon advance straight from chemist free if we register for minor ailments. It's been a saviour. I am buying cheap stuff for work and keeping the good stuff for when it's really bad.

I get heartburn on and off Gaviscon is my friend when it attacks :)

Glad you are home hun really hope you get lots of rest xx

Mrs W I am off to the chemist after work to get some free gaviscon now you've reminded me - I'm finally giving in to the medicine after a brutal night with it last night despite same as you me having an early dinner to try and avoid it!
My bump feels really high up the last few days (there's definitely been another growth spurt this week!) so I feel all compressed and quite uncomfortable.
Am also getting leg cramps on and off all night alternating between legs so then have to haul the bowling ball that is my belly over to the other side to straighten the leg out.
Oh and I've started getting nosebleeds - what is that all about?!

Sorry - having a moany day clearly!!

Sattiegirl good to hear you're home and resting up x

Glad you are finally home Sattie!

Wowser, sounds like I am getting off lightly at the moment?

Have had some bad bouts of heartburn but its occasional and nothing I can't manage (Rennies still seem to work?), other than feeling a bit tired I am OK.

Nosebleeds are quite common in pregnancy? Due to hormone changes?

Can't decide if baby is having a quiet day today, have felt her a bit but not as much as usual? Just away to have a cuppa, that normally wakes her up!

She is more lively at night now though so maybe that's why she is quieter in the day?

X

Also out of interest - those of you that are suffering with heartburn and already have little ones, did you suffer last time and did your baby have a lot of hair?

(its one of those old wives tales!)

I had very little HB and James was bald until he was about 8 months.

2 people have told me that they had heartburn and all the babies were born with loads of hair! Apparently there is some degree of genuine science behind the correlation. I have had load of heartburn so we'll see! Nat i ended up at the antenatal unit yesterday as was in a panic about reduced movements for a couple days, was there for ages strapped up to a CTG but glad i did as everything was ok. I am totally aware they have quiet periods at this stage but it never stops my mind spiralling! Glad you're home sattie, hope you're managing to rest x

Glad all was OK hun

I had terrible heartburn towards the end with my DD. Always worse in the middle of the night. She was born with a little bit of hair but it grew very fast and always had and still has fast growing strong long hair! By 12 months i was doing pig tails, buying hair accessories etc.

This time I've had very little heartburn so far, more a bit of indigestion. Expecting it more at the end like before, so we shall see if baby boy ends up with the same sort of hair.
Weirdly before i had my DD I'd never experienced it, then after having her even when not pregnant i get it from time to time. It's like pregnancy kick started something haha.

Glad all is ok with you ladies who have been in hospital.
Great news MrsW that your DH has finally finished his treatment! Onwards and upwards for you now :-)

Now I'm fancing a cuppa Nat, bought my first box of mince pies yesterday. Love them, may just have to eat one or two! ;-)

Well ladies that's me returned from my holiday, had a lovely week in the sun and was well needed rest. Never got asked once for a fit to fly letter or even whether I was pregnant, all I was asked was why I wasn't taking advantage of the all inclusive drinking, I must just look abit podgie haha.
Back to work tomorrow though and then my scan and appointment with the surgeon on Monday, so nervous for it. Hoping everything is still measuring okay, and things haven't gotten any worse.

Trying to catchup on the tri 3 thread as it's so busy now, lovely to see everybody is over or almost :) we are well and truly on the final stretch :) that's me reached the 30 week mark now so the count down is on :)

Hope everyone is well and like I said, I will have to try and catch up what's been going on the last week and a half xxx

Glad you had a lovely break and yay to reaching 30 weeks, you are 3 quarters of the way through now

Fingers crossed all is OK on Monday.
